Brian’s cabin was perfect for our family. Very cozy cabin on a beautiful property! Brian was amazing with his communication and responses. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely stay again.
Great price! Awesome stay!
What a great surprise to find the place so nice! Will be coming back soon!
Perfect place to stay. Don M.
Beautiful private setting yet close to lots of activities. Our favorites are hiking along the Manistee river trails and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. After hiking perfect place to come back to, cook on the grill and sit on the front porch. The WiFi was a nice addition. This was our 3rd year there. We'll be back next year.
Lovely Cottage, Lovely, Quiet Location
We rented the cottage just for a weekend, and two of us left on Saturday morning to hike the Manistee River Loop, but we had enough time on site to see what an absolutely beautiful location it is (flocks of wild turkeys and fearless deer ambling along the road, quiet woodlands providing the backdrop...). The cottage itself is very comfortable indeed, with a large sitting and dining area and an excellently equipped kitchen (we like to cook and generally bring to rented cottages lots of kitchen instruments, pots, herbs, and spices, since so many kitchens in rentals are so modestly equipped, but here we found everything we needed waiting for us). Heating is quick and efficient (we stayed in late September); the bathroom is excellent, with plenty of hot water; the two bedrooms have lots of room and comfortable beds. Outside two decks and a fire pit area (with a power point) provide ample opportunity to sit and contemplate the peace. The WiFi was much better than I anticipated and made it easy to get done enough work to salve the conscience; on Brian's advice we brought one of our Roku devices and hooked it up to the TV, enabling our twelve-year-old to enjoy some of his favorite programming while my wife got essential work done. Mesick (population about 300) is just a few miles away and has all the basic amenities, including a perfectly serviceable supermarket. Further afield are myriad opportunities to enjoy Northern Michigan, whether outdoors or indoors. I recommend the cottage without the slightest qualification.
Great Stay! Great owner!
We had short 2 night stay, but have nothing but good things to say. Very detailed driving directions were sent a few days before our stay which were super helpful as the GPS wanted to take us a different way. The owner kindly texted me the night we arrived to make sure we got there ok. Which we did. The property manager answered my phone call upon arrival when we couldn't figure out the heat and she arrived within minutes and helped us out. The house was perfect for our needs and it was so nice that we could bring our dog along. The property is so peaceful and quiet. Also the owner took the liberty of mailing me my kids' coats after we left them there on mistake. We really had a great experience.
Always a blast
