This high quality ground floor apartment has a central location, a couple of minutes walk to the town & 10 minutes easy walk to beach & estuary. Perfect for couples wanting to explore the West Country any time of year. There is a range of activities close to the property, with train and bus station just 500 meters away. Sunnydeck has a lovely decked area where you can relax and catch the sunshine. The large double bedroom has a king size bed with high quality mattress, plenty of storage space & flat screen digital TV. The comfy lounge has 2 & 3 seat settee, gas fire, flat screen digital TV, YouView box, DVD & stereo. Kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer & dishwasher. The shower room has shower cubical with electric shower, basin & toilet. Separate dining area with extending table. The apartment has central heating, fully controllable by the visitor. Linen & towels provided. Gas, heating, electric and Wi-Fi internet included. OFF ROAD PARKING, suitable for a MEDIUM SIZE CAR (eg.Golf estate)

About Lindsey Foxwell

We are nearly retired (!) and live in Taunton. We wanted to buy a holiday home to enjoy with our family, who are grown and having children of their own. Over the years we have taken a lot of self catering holidays all over Britain, so with Sunnydeck we have tried to include, and provide, all the good aspects of our travel experiences. Why Lindsey Foxwell chose East Devon

The reason we chose Exmouth for our holiday home is the wonderful sandy beach, estuary and all the local amenities with the train and bus station only 5 minutes walk away. There is always plenty to see and do what ever the time of year. We chose this apartment because it is spacious but cosy, close to everything and has parking!

What makes this apartment unique

We chose this apartment because it is spacious but still cosy. The decked area at the back is just perfect to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine and the sunshine. The location is ideal for beach, town and generally exploring. The bus and train station are a five minute walk away making this ideal for visitors without a car. Free Wi-Fi is available at Sunnydeck.

Some interesting points.

This apartment is very clean and comfortable in fact kept immaculately The interior is very well maintained and furnished to a high standard. We were welcomed with some very nice touches such as a supply tea, coffee, milk, scones and biscuits also a dish of sweets in the lounge. However outside we were disappointed to find that the next door property had a boarded up front door which had a local authority notice warning the owner to take immediate action regarding an infestation of rats and mice, this concerned us as it is a terraced property. In addition to this, at the rear of the flat the parking is very tight and on one occasion we were unable to get into our car as a visitor came to the flat upstairs in a Vauxhall Astra which was too big for the space provided. Also the decking area is advertised as an area to sit out and relax, not quite so, as it is open to a busy road and faces out onto a car park which has a white van that is rotting away, the row of cottages all have their rubbish bins lined up along the pavement and the metal staircase to the upstairs flat runs up over the area providing no privacy at all.

Owner's Response: I am very disappointed to receive this review as you will have seen I have 58 ***** star reviews and 2 **** star reviews! I am delighted however that you described the flat correctly, I feel you were very harsh about the other matters out of our control! We have spent many a happy hour enjoying drinks and meals on the decking. As for the boarded up house next door, I spoke to the council as soon as the notice appeared as I was concerned. It was to do with rubbish in the walled back yard that was cleared almost immediately removing any risk.

Immaculate

We were very fortunate to discover & then stay at 'Sunnydeck' in the very centre of Exmouth. From the initial booking until the end of our stay we were impressed by the friendly & excellent comms & then when we arrived; WOW! We were greeted by a super well-equipped flat which catered for all our needs & more. From the turn of the key we smelt a lovely clean 'home' which had been beautifully decorated & scrubbed. A cream tea had been laid out for us which was demolished before we'd even unpacked.

During our stay the flat provided an excellent base for our adventures & everything was within an easy walk. It was so great to have a small off road parking space too; parking can be difficult in Exmouth.

My advice to anyone reading this is to book it now before all the dates get snapped up. Oh, & book an extra day or two. We wish we had.

Exmouth lies at the mouth of the River Exe and has two miles of golden sands for you to explore. A nature reserve spreads across a large part of the estuary, and is home to many birds and other wildlife. It is also at the start of the Jurassic Coast Heritage Path, a coastal and cliff-top walk that takes you all the way to Lyme Regis. A short ferry ride will take you to Starcross and Dawlish where you can walk to Powderham Castle and waterside pubs.

The town centre has a wide variety of shops and an indoor market. There are a number of parks in and around the town. There are numerous sporting activities you can enjoy during your stay. Water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing, jet ski, wake boarding and water skiing to name a few!

Exmouth has a railway station, and a short ride will take you to the city of Exeter with its many attraction. Next to the station is Exmouth Sports Centre with two heated swimming pools and a variety of sports. The town also has a cinema.
