This quaint apartment features a living room, bathroom with shower and a kitchenette that includes a fridge , microwave, toaster oven,crock pot, and gas BBQ for quick and yummy foods. Unwind and enjoy a drink while cozying up to our outdoor fireplace. This location features easy access to universities, wineries, skiing, kayaking, bicycling, shopping, good eats and more. Just a mere 20 minutes to Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail. Quick access to Harrisonburg, Waynesboro and Staunton.

We have to say that our stay here was perfect from the start to when we left, and we didn’t want to leave. Our hosts, Ron and Debbie were helpful right from the moment we booked the property and while we were there they were so attentive and helpful, we felt as though we were part of the community. The property was so lovely and quaint, perfect for a romantic getaway, cosy, warm and comfortable. The facilities within were just as you needed, and we were told that if anything else was needed then we just needed to ask. We would recommend this property to any couple, it is perfect in its location, facilities and the hosts, we found it to be absolutely perfect

Weekend Away

Perfect cozy cabin in a quiet neighborhood with close by restaurants. The firepit under the gazebo was perfect in the evening. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

Owners of property were exceptional! The Space they provided was perfect for the day we came into town for a wedding. They did a really good job making the place feel like home. The owners reached out and gave me a run down of all the best food in the area and let me know of some other places worth visiting and were just the best hosts! Again, we could not have asked for anything better and can’t thank them enough for providing us the space!

In 1972 we relocated from our home in upstate N.Y. to attend college. We fell in love with this valley and other than a 5 year stint in Florida, have resided here. Debbie has worked as a nurse for many years and Ron has been employed publicly and in private practice as a school psychologist/counselor and building contactor. Our daughter is a JMU graduate as well as myself and our son. We love to travel and spend time outdoors camping, kayaking, hiking and biking.

Why they chose this property

The Shenandaoh Valley is widely known as one of the most beautiful areas in the U.S. . It has a deep and rich history particularly intriguing to Civil War buffs with the battlefields and relics so plentiful. We have incredible caverns, breathtaking mountain scenery, meandering rivers and rural tranquility. We have lived in Canada and throughout the US and find this area to be our favorite. Folks are friendly and helpful, quick to extend a wave or a freindly smile. A great place to unplug and unwind.

What makes this property unique

This property provides a private , quiet get-a-way yet accessable to so many outdoor activities. Bring your kayaks, bicycles, motorcycles, inner tubes, fishing gear, hiking boots, skis and water wings. You will use them all. After a full day on the trail or the river relax in our cozy apt.. Outdoor dining , complete with BBQ facilities make for a memorable evening. Top off the day with a nightcap around the fireplace.
