This Block Island home is located a short walk from town and the ferry, across from the 1661 Inn and three houses down from the Spring House Hotel. We are also close to the Atlantic Inn, The Rose Cottage, and The Inn at Spring House. The main beach is about 1 1/4 mile away and Ballard's beach is only 1/4 mile away. Good views of the ocean.

Downstairs, the house has a living room, dining room, kitchen, full bath and laundry room. There is also a small bedroom with a twin bed plus another pull-out mattress under the bed. On the second floor there are four bedrooms and a full bath. The second floor bedrooms include 1 king,1 queen,1 queen, and a full plus twin in the 4th bedroom . Garbage and recycling cans are provided. They are taken to the transfer station by the garbage service every Sunday. With lots of windows and 9 foot ceilings, it has good circulation and an open feeling. Outside are two large decks with tables and chairs with an ocean view. We also have an outside shower. The home has been renovated and is heated. We rent from Sun to Sun. We do rent 3 night minimum stays during early and late season. Weekly renters must provide sheets and towels. For 3 night rentals, we will provide sheets (not towels) and have the beds made up for you. We do have internet service.

The downstairs bath has a new enclosed tile shower(no tub) and the second floor bath has a new corner tub with a shower. New flatscreen tv in livingroom and a smaller tv in the master bedroom

About Jack and Sharron Boehm

Sharron Boehm is currently a retired interior designer having worked for Ethan Allen for 18 years. Jack Boehm is a retired Physical Education teacher and Aquatic Director. Been married for 55 years with 3 children and 7 grandchildren. We both grew up in Niagara Falls and Grand Island, NY and presently live in Goshen, NY

Why Jack and Sharron Boehm chose Block Island

We first learned about Block Island when our daughter was working during the summer of her first year in college. When she had her wedding there in 1996, we rented this house. One year later we were lucky enough to purchase the house. Having looked for a vacation house for several years, we finally realized that this environment was exactly what we were looking for.

What makes this house unique

Having been built in 1889, we enjoy the historical features in the house such as the painted wood floors. the brass ceiling light fixtures, the old moldings, the stained glass on the exterior doors, and the original fireplace. Although it has an old feel, the bathrooms and kitchen are modern and up to date.

  • 2 full bathrooms - On the 1st floor there is a new tiled bathroom with shower. On the 2nd floor there is a new tiled corner tub with shower and glass enclosure. We also have an outside shower with hot and cold water.
