APARTMENT 'ESTRELLA' built in 2007, is elegantly furnished throughout. Located in a new complex a few steps below the main square and cobbled streets of the beautifully conserved, award winning, whitewashed Andalucian village of Frigiliana. Facilities include, Security Intercom, Lifts, Internet Access ,Two Outdoor Pools with Sunbathing Areas, Changing Rooms and Showers, Tennis Court, Relax by tinkling fountains and cooling water features in shaded Arabic gardens, while enjoying panoramic views down the Frigiliana Valley to the Sea and the Hills of the Sierra Almijara Natural Park. Accommodation is complemented on two sides by private terraces providing sun or shade at all times. Numerous bars shops and restaurants, are within 2 minutes walk. The busy resort town of Nerja, its beaches and night-life is just a short drive away. Our prime location provides an enviable combination of Village LIfe, Moorish Culture, Mountain Scenery,and breathtaking coastlines. FREE WIFI INTERNET ACCESS - A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX is provided for your valuables. A Security Intercom to the front gate allows entry from the street.

FLEXIBLE ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE :- We want our guests to get the best possible value for money, and we realize that many flight prices are much cheaper during the week rather than at weekends. So we are pleased to offer the flexibility of Midweek arrivals and departures and we will always be available to meet you personally at the apartment whatever time you arrive.

Internet Access - The Apartment is equipped with free WiFi – However we strongly recommend that if you envisage using our WiFi system for business purposes or any other critical function that you ensure that you have a secondary source in case of any malfunction of the network. We offer WiFi Internet Access as a complimentary “Value Add” service to our guests. However we provide no technical support, nor do we accept any liability, nor will we offer any compensation, for the non functionality of the service for whatever reason.

A Little Bit About Us: Apartment Estrella is located in a complex named 'Residencial La Fuente ' in 2007 It is owned by Sue Royston and It is managed by friends who live locally in Frigiliana and speak excellent Spanish in case of any translation problems. This allows us to provide a superior and more personal service to our guests, so any problems can be resolved quickly . Our local area guide will ensure that you have all the information you need about the Apartment and the area and its attractions no matter what kind of holiday you prefer. If all else fails, we are always only a phone call away. We take great pride in the fact that you entrust us with such a precious commodity as your holiday. It is our personal goal to ensure that every possible comfort and amenity is provided during your stay.

The Local Area: Frigiliana is a charming Andalucian village Known as the Pearl of Axarquia whose Moorish architecture dates back 5000 years, nestled into the foothills of the Almijara Mountains at the edge of the Sierra Tejada National Park. The older part is a mass of narrow flower laden cobbled streets winding up the hillside with wonderful views over orchards and the coast to the South and Spectacular views of the National Park North and East across the magnificent Higueron Gorge. With something for everyone Frigiliana is a paradise. For walkers and mountain bikers with enchanting walks and rides for all abilities starting right in the village. For historians and cultural the Moorish past remains visible today. For the beach lover Nerja is a busy seaside town five minutes drive away, set amidst cliffs overlooking rocky coves with many fine beaches and all the usual facilities of a Mediterranean holiday resort, while retaining the qualities of a typical Spanish small town.

Day trips and a bit further afield : Within a short drive are several whitewashed mountain villages each with their own charm and many like Competa and Algaborro are on the famous “Ruta de Vino” (wine route) The awe inspiring Nerja Caves, are a fascinating, network of cathedral like underground caverns with the World's biggest stalactites. Maro,is a picturesque village with panoramic views across the sea and a small secluded beach. A little further along the coast are La Herradura and Almunecar, while further afield is the historic city of Grenada with its famous Alhambra Palace (pre-booking advised). Mijas, Antequara El Torcal National Park, Marbella, Seville, Gibraltar, Ronda, Cordoba, and other famous Costa del Sol resorts are all accessible for day trips.

Great views

Very nice clean spacious apartment well equipped with hairdryer, Iron, clothes dryer, washing machine (take your own tablets), wonderful views from the large balcony. Nice pool was not busy when we were there, sun loungers in apartment if needed. Apartment is well placed for the old part of Frigiliana exiting from the back entrance to the apartments (follow the steps/path through the garden) best Restaurant we found is in the Square opposite San Antonio Church great fish/steak meals (note back section of the square as it is two separate restaurants, the front one is ok for drinks) Frigilana is a beautiful place to explore, you are 10 mins drive away from Nerja (buses run from Frigiliana) for beaches and more restaurants. The on street parking is a little tricky outside the apartment, but we did always manage to get parked. Thank you to Boz who met us at the apartment, the only thing I would say would be very helpful is if a food welcome pack of essentials ie bread, milk, tea/coffee could be there for your arrival. We had great weather and a great stay. Thank you.

Spacious ,great views,quiet complex

Lovely spacious apartment with fantastic balcony and spectacular views. Set in quiet garden complex, swimming pool kept immaculately clean and bonus tennis court. Very handy quick access to the village . The description is very accurate. We stayed in this apartment for 8 weeks and could have stayed longer !. Efficient booking and we were very well looked after by the local agents Boz & Polly. Would recommend this apartment to anyone and we do hope to return.

Great apartment, with stunning views.

We stayed for two weeks with four little children and we had a great vacation. The apartment has lots of space and is very clean. It's got everything you need.

Because of the large balcony you can enjoy the stunning views of sea and mountains.The service is superb, just give a call and someone is there to help you!!

Only one small criticism: the mattress in the main bedroom is (according to us) very hard and caused us a bit of backache.

In spite of that it's a really great apartment that I would definitely reccomend!

wonderful stay in apartment Estrella

Since our last rented property in Frigiliana were not available this time, we contacted Boz and Polly for some suggestions. We ended up in apartment Estrella for nine days, and we were so satisfied. The apartment is nice, spacy and very clean!The terrace is large an well equipped and has sun all day.We did not have much time to rest here during daytime since all the wonderful mountain walks were waiting for us:)But in the late afternoon it was lovely to sit down to enjoy the scenic view.The road is just outside the complex but it is not a problem. In fact it is funny to watch cars and people passing by. It was not busy at night so we always slept very well .The complex is so nice with its wonderful outdoor area., swimming pools and tennis court.We played tennis one afternoon, as always enjoyable!

The apartment also offers free wifi and that is important for us.

We recommend this lovely apartment to everyone!

Beautiful large apartment with great views

The apartment is in a fantastic location, close to the centre of the old part of the village, and is really spacious with great views across the valley. The apartment has a large private terrace with access from both the master bedroom and the lounge. There is also a second terrace accessed from the other two bedrooms. The layout of the apartment is really good, with the kitchen and lounge having a handy breakfast bar arrangement. Everything in the apartment is stylish and of good quality.

My wife and I enjoyed a week in the apartment in August. We had a great welcome from Boz who was very helpful and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. We love Frigiliana, having had a lovely week there in 2012. However Apartment Estrella made our visit this time extra special. Though the weather was really hot we managed to do some walking in the Rio Chillar gorge and the Rio Hegueron gorge (both highly recommended!) We ate at The Garden, the Mirador and La Taberna on the square (our favourite!). We also enjoyed the pool and the lovely gardens in the apartment complex.

We would love to return to Frigiliana and stay in Apartment Estrella, though maybe next time a bit earlier in the year when it is less hot.

Girls week away

Have previously been to Frigiliana and really love the village and the pace and the people.Apartment was everything we could have wished for, clean and spacious ,fantastic views from the terrace. Boz and Polly as always provide great customer service .Would highly recommend The Garden Restaurant at the top of the Village, bit of a climb but worth it!

The rent includes water, gas and electricity, bed linen and towels (except beach towels). Arrival / Departure days are flexible all year round as we understand that mid week flights are much more economical. Arrival time 16.00; departure time no later than 10.00am to allow for cleaning and preparation for arrivals. Change of linen and towels is done on the 7th day for stays of 14 days or over then weekly. Extra days at pro-rata cost. Discounted rates for long lets in low season.
