Although each lot is privately owned, you may walk on the beach and find seashells or just chill out under your umbrella or the shade tree on your private beach. If you are a bird watcher, it is also a great place to see marsh birds in their natural habitat. It is also a great place to photograph our beautiful sunsets and family memories. You will be really glad you visited.

Private Beach With Shade!
average rating of 4.0 based on 5 reviews

Our Stay was Very Enjoyable!

  • 4 of 5

Favorite things about the house:

1. It was pretty secluded and very quiet. We sat out on the porch quite a bit, just listening to the ocean.

2. The beach access was amazing!

3. Everyone had plenty of room, and the house was very homey and relaxing.

Least favorite things:

1. The bathtub in the master had sand all in it when we got there.

2. It's a 40 minute drive to Biloxi, and to anything else you may want to do. We are used to a long drive, because we actually live in the country, so we knew to get our stuff and do everything we wanted before going back to the house, but wanted to mention it for anyone expecting to be close to attractions, public beaches, etc.

We had a very nice stay! The property is gorgeous and very spacious! Felt like a home away from home! I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, beach vacation!

Nice views, quiet location, but not a house for beachcombing/swimming

  • 3 of 5

This was our first stay in Mississippi. We typically travel to Alabama beaches. When we go on vacation we go for beachcombing and swimming. We like the house to be private and quiet. We want a place to relax and unwind.

House was clean and comfortable

House fully stocked-

*kitchen utensels/appliances

Close to the beach

Bayou at the back door

Horn Island short Seadoo/boat trip away

Horn Island had dolphins swimming around it the three days we traveled there. (1st week of July 2017)

Horn Island has nice ocean water for swimming and shells for beachcombing.

Rural, private and quiet

Brown, brackish ocean water by the house, and according to locals always is that way.

Brown ocean water means warm water.

Ocean has sandy beaches, but MUD a few feet into the ocean, so no swimming by the house for us.

ZERO shells on beach by the house, so no beachcombing by the house.

Tons of construction debris on beach.

*busted concrete PILES

*Delapitated pier posts all over

Price of the house was similar to other houses with beautiful ocean water.

Masterbed is a queen, and not a king like advertised.

Also, the masterbed mattress needs to be replaced. It was very uncomfortable, and made noises each time you moved...all...night...long...all week...long.

Overall we enjoyed time as a family, and Horn Island let us experience typical ocean fun. We will not return though. Next time, we will choose a place that has better ocean water and beaches.

Clean and very private!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for our family! The cottage was clean, clean, clean and private. The kitchen was well stocked. We also loved the private beach! The first day the water was murky and dirty but the remaining days of our stay the water and sand were wonderful! It stays shallow far out so it was perfect for children. Perfect for kayaking. This house is in a quiet friendly community on a dead end road, our children loved riding their bikes up and down the road. The rest of our large group rented the large house just east of us. Our youngest is autistic and it was so nice to be close and spend daytimes with the rest of the group but then be able to have a quiet house to retreat to when it was naptime and nighttime!!

Great views, beach only steps away, and comfy house.

  • 4 of 5

This house has everything needed for a great beach vacation. Ocean and beach in front and bayou in back. Big master bedroom with full bath on one end of house and 2 guest rooms with full bath between on other side. Open LR-DR-kitchen in the middle. Lots of LR seating (and extra sleeping if needed) with couch, loveseat, chair and futon. TV with satellite and DVD player and free wifi. Stainless cookware, microwave, dishwasher, and all dishes, glassware, gadgets, etc. provided. Electric range, full size refrigerator (no ice maker but plenty of ice trays), full size washer and dryer. Quiet neighborhood for relaxation and only minutes to shopping, restaurants, and casinos. Property manager friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend for families and friends. No handicap access, however, approx. 16 stairs to front door. Enjoyed walking on beach, watching wildlife, relaxing to the sound of the ocean waves, and eating some great seafood!
