|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
This private villa is nestled in between 2 hill top villages in the Var. The views are something quite special which would add to your family holiday. The possibilities to use this villa for going to the ski resorts an hour away or fishing on lake St Cassien. For those golfers amongst you a 18 hole 5 star hotel and spa complex on your doorstep is very attractive.
The days spent in the villa resting by the pool and having a barbecue as the sun sets would make your holiday something to remember for sure.
The villa is large enough for 10 persons but also cozy enough for 2 persons.you have varied rooms from tv area to lounge and reading areas, so everyone needs are catered for.
The outside area is just wonderful the views take your breath away and then the sunset is something else, all taken in with a glass of wine on the terrace or around the pool. You can play BOULES local garden game for all ages. Finally enjoy the well equipped kitchen for evening meals or BBQ.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house. The house was beautifully furnished inside and out, and had everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The house was laid out in such a way that there was plenty of space for everyone to either enjoy time together or have some quiet time relaxing. The children loved the pool the most, and with its location on a separate terrace to the house, and a pool alarm it was easy to keep them safe around it, including our three year old water baby!
Sally was a wonderful host,( Thanks Sally!!) the house was spotless, and she was very helpful letting us know where things were in the area.
The location is beautiful, it is very difficult to tear yourself away from the view to explore the region, but the villages near by are lovely.
We miss our morning croissants, brioche, and pain au chocolate, and hope to be back again!
We have just booked our third holiday at this beautiful villa in Montauroux. The location is perfect for the whole family and we can always find plenty to do in the surrounding towns and villages. Our favourite excursions include visiting the market at Fayence, the gorgeous bluebell fields, white water rafting and people watching in St. Tropez. Montaroux is a pretty village with a lovely square which hosts a market and is surrounded by cafes and shops/boutiques. The restaurants in Montaroux are delightful and we tend to eat out when we can’t muster up the enthusiasm to cook in the villa! Our teenage daughters just love the short trip to the lake Cassien where they can spend the whole day doing their favourite watersports, whilst we can watch them from the sunbeds on the terrace (more lazing!).
My husband is an avid runner and cyclist and the routes around the area provide him with beautiful scenery and some challenging terrain. This gives me lots of opportunities to laze around the gorgeous pool. Plenty of sunbeds for all of us and the tiered gardens create a beautiful backdrop. Perfect for reading my book and just chilling.
The outdoor area is large enough to ensure we can all do our own thing in our own space. The rooms in the villa are all spacious and spotlessly clean; beautifully decorated. All the amenities you need for a fantastic holiday. The outside terrace gives fabulous views across the valley and is a great backdrop to any meal.
We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a tranquil break.
A wonderful Place to unwind any time of the year. Superb Views, Breakfast on the Terrace, walking ,cycling and painting. We evan managed to fit in 2 days ski ing at Valberg only 1hour 40 mins away. Better than we imagined and we will recommend to friends and Family
Wow what a beautiful villa! and I can say that confidently as my wife might just be the fussiest person ever! and she loved it!
My wife and I were very fortunate to stay here in the latter half of May with my three children. The first thing I remember thinking was "what an amazing location" with breath taking views, a beautifully quaint french village and a lake that easily rivals some of the best in the world.
The villa was so beautifully finished, I could tell that the owners had spend a lot of time and effort making it as comfortable and inviting as possible. The villa was incredibly clean (even to my wife's standards) which is saying something. We loved the villa so much we ate there almost every night just to take in the view from the terrace.
As for my children they loved having the swimming pool and the table tennis. I must add the table tennis became a guilty pleasure of mine too. As I mentioned earlier the lake is fantastic and a must see. I also recommend that you take the bikes out for a ride as its the only way to do france.
On behalf of my family and I, we would like to say thank you to the owners of the villa for providing us with such a beautiful french retreat, a real home away from home.
We had a fantastic time at the villa! We stayed for two weeks, the first week it was myself, my husband and our two children, then for the second week our friends came to stay with their three children.
The villa is finished to a very high standard and everything was very tidy and clean when we arrived.
When I asked my son what his favourite part of the villa was he said "The beds!" when asked why he said "cause they're so soft!", and I have to agree with him.
We hired a car from the airport which gave us the freedom to drive to nearby places and explore, we visited a couple of beaches as well as some of the surrounding villages - they are all very quaint and very 'French', you really feel like you're experiencing Southern French culture.
In the basement there are bikes which you are free to use, so on a few mornings we cycled to the nearest village Montauroux and went to the bakery to pick up fresh croissants - we felt very spoilt!
The villa is very spacious and relaxing, there is definitely a feeling of "home away from home" here which makes for a stress free stay.
The children loved the pool and tennis table and the adults loved relaxing by the pool and having dinner and a glass of wine on the terrace.
The villa is very secluded so we felt we had total privacy and as it is set back from the road with an electric gate, the children were free to roam around and explore the grounds as they pleased.
Overall the holiday was a perfect retreat away from home and the villa certainly played a big part in how relaxed we felt.
We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone - couples or families.
I stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks with my family in September. We choose it for the great location. The village of Montauroux is nearby so if you fancy a walk before breakfast you can pick up some fresh baguettes from the bakers. Great for exploring some of the beautiful villages and towns. The kids enjoyed the lake and we all enjoyed going to the sea which is a short drive away on the motorway.
The villa was beautifully decorated and had everything you could possible want. It was very clean and everything looked new. The pool area was amazing, because there is some much living space outside no one got on top of each other so it was a real holiday for everyone. The views are lovely so we spent most of the time outside. Saying that it would be nice to stay later in the year as the villa has a log fire. I would describe the villa more as a boutique hotel especially as my Mother served us breakfast on the verander each morning.
The villa was very good value for money.Thank you for a wonderful holiday we will definitely be booking again.
The area that this villa is located in has everything that you would need, something different indeed to capture the real French way of living. The lake Cassien with hire boats, fishing & swimming facilities, restaurants to choose from all around the lake. Within an hour of the villa you have a ski resort for the winter and mountains to enjoy in the summer months. The local villages of Montaroux and Callian are walking distance from the villa, to get your fresh bread in the mornings. You have local shops within a 5min drive. You have a 5 star golf & spa center within 15mins from the villa. The caves of St Cezaire are near by for a day out, but not just that you are within half an hour from Cannes center to go and do some serious shopping or stay on the motorway and head to Monaco whatever you need its at hand for all the family. If you are out for adventure you can hire a glider and fly over all the villages for something different to do. If not relax by the pool & enjoy.
