Thekla Court provide Luxury self-catering apartments (3) for holiday rental, situated in the outskirts of unspoiled Polis. The spacious apartments are designed for enjoyable living with private pool, great views to the sea & the mountains, parking space.

With Sunny ground terrace & balconies, a secluded roof terrace, it is ideal for sun lovers, all with sun beds, tables & chairs. It is 20min walk to the nearest beach, Chrysochou Bay & 7min stroll to the town centre with all its amenities: restaurants, banks, supermarkets etc.

Polis provides a pleasant, friendly environment for a relaxing or romantic holiday & an ideal base for activities, e.g. cycling, biking, hiking, snorkeling, scuba-diving etc. Exploring the spectacular Akamas nature reserve is a must, so is a visit to Latchi with its fishing port, beach, harbour-side restaurants, sea-sport facilities & boating excursions. Both are a short car/ cycle ride away. Natural Healing Spa, Paphos & Trodos Mountains - easy access by car

Ideal for Couples, friends or Extended family stay: Thekla Court consists of a 2 bedroom apartment and 2 separate studios, all with own facilities and own access to balconies or terrace; and with shared access to the pool (with separate shower and toilet ), the surrounding terrace and the roof terrace.

These apartments are therefore not only ideal for individual couples, friends or families holidaying independently but also ideal for e.g. couples, friends or extended families that want to share exclusive holiday time together (e.g. around the pool, on the terrace etc.) while at the same time enjoying private space in their own apartment.

The whole complex can easily accommodate (Studio 001 - 2, Studio 102 - 2, Two Bedroom apartment - 6) a group of 10 adults and all apartments can be booked together as well as separately.

For Golf enthusiasts: Paphos offers several excellent golf courses, The Secret Valley Golf Club (6120 meters and 18 holes plays to par 72 ) is 18 km east of Paphos, the most recently opened is the luxurious Aphrodite Hills (6299 meters and plays to par 70).

Tsada Golf Course (6060 meters and 18 holes, plays to par 72) is the nearest, it is just 25 minutes away from Polis. As it is on an elevated position 550 meters above sea level it benefits from cool breezes during the summer months.

Internet Access and Natural Healing Spa: Access to internet is also available in several places in Polis, just 5-10 min walk from the apartments.

There is a Natural Healing Spa resort in nearby Miliou (Ayii Anargyri Natural Healing Spa Resort). It is a short car drive away, situated next to Miliou's healing springs.

The two bedroom apartment (sleeps 6 ) has a light and very spacious living area, incl. dining suite, coffee table, 3 & 2 seater sofa beds, full entertainment system incl. Satellite TV (NileSat) & Internet. Each bedroom has twin beds, spacious fully fitted wardrobes and patio doors to their own private Sunny balcony. The kitchen is fully fitted with fridge freezer, oven, hob and hood, microwave, toaster and washing machine. There is a full size bathroom with heated towel rail, bath, shower, WC and wash basin. In addition is a separate shower room with heated towel rail and a separate cloakroom. The apartment has been fitted to a very high standard and include fly screens, air conditioning and central heating. The private pool is surrounded by a Sunny terrace with sunbeds, tables & chairs and has a separate WC and shower for guests and pool users. There is a secluded roof terrace with sunbeds, chairs & tables, ideal for sun bathing, relaxing and taking in the spectacular view.

Lovely place to stay

We (two adults, two children) stayed in Thekla court for the second time and again enjoyed the nice atmosphere of the apartment. This time we discovered a lot of places in the surrounding which were new to us and especially liked the nearby beach, which is very clean. Polis is a very little town but this gives the children a good feeling and they enjoyed going for shopping on their own. The pool is clean and well looked upon, in case of any problem the house management solves it immediately.

We will come again next year.

lovely lazy holiday

Very well placed and comfortable accommodation. Our first time in Cyprus and we don't like hoards of holidaymakers. So Thekla Court in the small town of Polis was perfect. Great local beaches, safe swimming and numerous local restaurants within a short walk. Food was plentiful, cheap and excellent quality. The sort of place we may well revisit.

Terrific accommodation with all home comforts. It is an excellent, well-appointed apartment. The standard of the interior is excellent, immaculately clean and is well maintained in general. Air conditioning very efficient and a must for the summer heat. Pool area is great and next to the apartment. The owner could not be more helpful and responded very quickly to all queries. Car hire is a necessity as even a short walk is a challenge in the heat. Polis has plenty of amenities and restaurants. Overall, a great stay and I would thoroughly recommend this property and location.

Sadly a dissappointment

Stayed for 2wks 14/5-28/5. On the face of it apt looked nice, but my heart sank when we opened the curtains in the louge/kichen, through one window a view of scrub/wasteland, through another the back of a dilapidated building, which was used as a cut-thru by residents of the neighbouring apt block. Haad a few niggles with equip - frying pan with melted handle, melted fish slice, only one tea towel, an unpleasantly stained chopping board and although the floor looked clean our feet were black after waling on it for a while - property manager did buy a new board & extra tea towels and also steamed the floor, but essentially this made little or no difference! I even washed them myself with neat flash, but this didn't make much impact either, must be ground in. What pics don't show is overlooking the pool, which is far from private, is another apt block (approx 6-8 apts), long-lets occupied by Romanian families - on a couple of occasions some of them were leaning over their balcony looking down onto the pool whilst smoking and flicking ash down into the pool area. One apt has a black labbie pup confined to the balcony 24/7 sometimes whining/yapping for attention, v upsetting; I was not annoyed at the dog, but the owners. 2nd day no power, management co came out immediately to be fair, but admitted he was no electrician, gave us power back at the sacrifice of the A/C - glad it wasn't too hot in May! No satalite TV, apparently most of Cyprus have been watching SKY illegally, SKY cottoned onto this & moved the satalite a few degrees, so forget the TV! Definitely need a car to make the most of the area, buses 1/hr and nothing after 6pm to Paphos and beach is 20-25mins walk for able-bodied person. Very steep gradient up to Thekla Court, so definitely not for anyone with walking difficulties or the elderly. The small toilet closet had been used to store mops and had rather a bad smell eminating from it, as did the main stairwell at the entrance. Main bathroom toilet plays the 'bagpipes' for a few mins everytime you use is - funny to start with, but irritating after a while. Finally, any biting insect life tends to seek me out and I am sorry to say we had to buy flea spray from the supermarket to spray both rooms & our luggage as I had telltale small itchy red bites around my feet & ankles! Sorry, but all true.

Owner's Response: One part of the land around Thekla Court is currently not used and looks like nature intended, full of wild flowers, trees and birds and NOT unpleasant to the eye. Beyond, the views are exactly as shown on the Website. The ‘dilapidated’ building at the BACK, UP a HILL BEHIND OUR GARAGE, is a popular café being extended & renovated. Neighbours taking a short cut THROUGH SOMEONE ELSE’S LAND is not our concern. We pride ourselves on clean apartments so this was an unfortunate incident. The cleaning team has been changed so this will not happen again. Current guests have no issues with the floor so there is nothing ingrained in the tiles. Our property (3 apts.) is private with a wall surround, entrance/exit through one single Main gate, and its private terrace and pool. For EXTRA PRIVACY and VIEWS we have a ROOF TERASSE (wall surround), fully tiled & equipped with sun-beds & umbrella, chairs & tables. One has to tolerate that neighbours, generally very well behaved, also like to enjoy panoramic views from THEIR property. A ‘whining’ puppy, we’ll address it if seen again. A permanent solution to the electric fault has been provided by an electrician. The temporary fix did NOT sacrifice the A/C – the A/C fob had not been inserted in the A/C slot. The satellite TV was and is working with limited TV coverage. Contrary to popular belief the temporarily reduced coverage is not caused by Sky or any illegal activity, but by the decommissioning of a satellite. Its first replacement will be commissioning this year, but we are looking for alternatives for better TV coverage. Any bad smell was not highlighted, and is not experienced by our current guest. A ‘whining’ toilet flash, not highlighted, we’ll ask our guest and fix it if present. After heavy rain mosquitos and some small black flies did appear in May (as in many countries), we assume these were the culprits (NOT specific to Thekla Court). When windows/patio doors are open, the insect netting panels should be kept ‘closed’ to keep mosquitoes, wasps etc. out. Our apartments are very well equipped and rental prices low, but the property manager will arrange for extra housekeeping if wanted. A car is advised on the Website, also 20 min walk to the beach. As explained to all elderly guests before booking (also in this case) the first 10 metres up to Thekla Court are at a steep gradient, the next 100 metres slope gently uphill; all manageable if of average fitness level - even if elderly.

Excellent 2 bedrooms apartment

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) spend 4 weeks in July 2010 in this2 bedrooms apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, very clean and fully air conditioned. The sea cost located in 2-3 kilometers away from the property but this is not critical if you have a car :) The center of city Polis can be reached by foot. It takes 10 minutes approximately. The nearest supermarket can be reached by foot too. The swimming pool is available and it was extremely attractive for our kids. Finally, from our point of view, this apartment is nicely suit for a family with kids. Do not forget to rent a car and you will have an opportunity to visit a lot of exited places in the vicinity of Polis, like Trodos, Pafos and etc.

Thekla Court 2 bed appartment

We enjoyed our stay in the two bed appartment a lot. Everything was prepared carefully. The location is excellent and only a few minute walk from the city of Polis. The appartment is very clean and well equipped. Smaller problems were solved immediately by Carol, who even came late evening to help. Polis is a wonderful place for a peaceful holiday and Thekla Court the right place to enjoy.

Polis, with its central square, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, take-aways and amenities, is friendly and welcoming and beautifully surrounded by mountains and crystal clear sea (inc. a 'Blue Flag' sandy beach, with Taverna and sunbeds, sheltered by Pine trees). Latchi has great fish restaurants, long beach and marina with water sports, scuba diving and boat trips. The nearby Akamas Nature reserve (with coves for sunbathing, swimming) and the new coastal walk & cycle way from Polis to Latchi are ideal for cycling and walking. Nearby coastal or mountain villages, often surrounded by citrus and olive orchards, are worth exploring for local crafts, museums, traditions and architecture; so are historic tourist attractions such as Aphrodite's Baths. There are numerous uncrowded beaches along the coast.

The area is ideal for families and for any one wanting an active, romantic or more relaxing holiday, with easy access to the airport - bustling towns like Paphos & Golf courses.
