We are two families that have had a fantastic week in the house. It is beautiful placed in nature and yet close to the city of Atri, which is a really charming city. We came up with many good walks - by car you can reach many interesting places, including Grand Sasso.
In the basement there is both table football, television and video that we had a good time with. Sweet neighbors and good opportunity to run if you want to exercise. Also excellent photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend a holiday in the house.
If you love Italy you would like Villa Cichetti. The house is located in the countryside, near the sea and very close to an old and charming city: Atri.
This summer I stayed at Villa Cichetti for the second time with my entire family and I can highly reccomend it. The house is totally restored, clean, spacy and with a spectacular view to the hills and the sea.
We went by car to Pescasseroli for a long hike in the Abbruzo National Park. Here we watched wild boars - and a lot of beautiful flowers. If you want to visit Rome, it is only two and a half hour by car, perhaps as a one day tour.
It's a brilliant web-site and the description lived very much up to our expectations. Villa Cichetti is situated in a very nice place and you can enjoy the beautiful view from the balcony. The house has recently been restored with a good sense for its atmosphere. The house is decorated very tastefully and it is nice and clean.
We were 12 persons in the house for a week and there was good room for everyone.
The kitchen is well-equipped and a cosy place for family gatherings and the bedrooms are nice and bright.
The owner has been very friendly helping us with good travelling advice and tips.
I would clearly recommend this lovely place to my friends and my relatives.
We have spent 2 wonderful weeks in Villa Cichetti:
3 families with 6 kids (1 to 5 years old) found enough space in the house. The house is equipped as if you were taken as guest into a friend`s house, because everything was as we had wished it to be.
The kitchen and the balcony were large enough to cook an eat together. At the same time, the 2 different levels made it possible to find a calm place if we wanted.
All rooms are equipped nicely and functional: comfortable beds, additional mattresses for more flexibility, cabinets to store all the things.
Living room in the basement is very large, multifunctional with table football, TV and large table. Bathrooms were clean and large enough.
The garden with the big tree is beautiful, shadow and a slight wind from the sea make the summer heat pleasant. The necessary equipment for the beach is stored in a small shelter. As there are no cars around the house, the kids used the garden, ran and played around the house without any limit.
The Abruzzo landscape is wonderful, not too many tourists, wonderful. Nice historic places, outdoor activities and a great beach. We would love to come back, to Villa Cichetti and to Abruzzo.
Kind regards, 3 happy German families
We were (three generations) family of 7 staying at the Villa Cichetti in June 2011. The villa and its surroundings was better than all our hopes and expectations. The villa was really large with big rooms and everything you needed and expected. The view from the terrace was magnificent. You can loook across the valley to the village of Atri (5 min driving away) and yoy can look down the valley and see all the way to the ocean (25 min. drive).
Our 3,5 years old boy was also very happy. He could walk outside without us being worried, there were trees to climb and gardens to walk in. Perfect.
Lots of excellent food and restaurants and very friendly people. Everything is a lot cheaper than on the "other side" and up north.
We will definately come back. The sooner the better. Many thanks to Soren for good information and perfect service in all ways.
Aamot family from Norway.
July 2010 we enjoyed two weeks in Villa Cichetti together with another family. 12 persons at all. And we loved the house, the nature, the beaches and all the possibilities near Atri. For example we did at one-day trip to Rome and at two-day trip to Napoli/Pompeii.
The view towards the sea from the terrace was wonderfull.
The house worked very well for 12 persons. It was well equiped concerning kitchen gear. The rooms are large and spacious, and the beds very good.
We certainly will return to Villa Cichetti!
