About Franco & Bozena

We are Franco and Bozena. We live here since 2002 and we love it. We specialise in producing our own organic extra virgin olive oil, vine and saffron. We love looking after the farm but having guests coming from all over the world and staying in our apartments makes our life here very special

Franco & Bozena purchased this apartment in 2002

Why Franco & Bozena chose Orvieto area

We found this farm and we loved it from the first sight. The location was perfect – deep in a beautiful countryside but in the same within quick and comfortable reach of the stunning cities of Perugia, Orvieto, Rome and Florence. We knew is going to be a hard work but we still enjoying every moment of it.

What makes this apartment unique

Beautiful unspoiled countryside, great climate and wonderful weather most of days in a year, very friendly local people. Easy reach to beautiful Italian cities.

Outstanding Stay In The Countryside

  • 5 of 5

We totally loved our stay at Casa Regina and can't wait to come back. Franco and Beziana were wonderful hosts. Their English is impeccable and they are appropriately proud of their little slice of countryside in Umbria.

This is a great base for day trips and less than two hours from the Rome airport.

We strongly encourage that you consider experiencing Casa Regina. You will not be disappointed!

The best agriturismo you could ever stay at!

  • 5 of 5

Having Celiac disease, this was the best choice we could have ever made. The place had fresh organic veggies, fruits and eggs for us to pick as we pleased and we made awesome home made food. For those of you who can eat out with no problems, they also organize cooking classes and wonderful dinners.

The owners were absolutely delightful and very accommodating. The two apartments we rented were extremely clean and spacious. Once you understand the dynamics of the streets around it, everything is easy to get to. The supermarket (Coop) is right in the next town (Fabro) as well as plenty of other stores. The agriturismo has washing machines free for everyone to use and dish washers in the apartments. The pool was one of the cleanest we have ever seen. It was like being in Paradise! Grazie mille Bozena e Franco! Ci ritorneremo di sicuro!!

Relaxing, beautiful, luxurious and very affordable

  • 5 of 5

As we toured our 2-bedroom suite, with full kitchen, dining and living rooms and large bathroom, we could hardly believe our luck. This Agritourismo is a definite go-to! Franco and Bozana were very welcoming and helped to make our time there fun and interesting. From the veggie garden, to the canteen with fresh eggs, wine, olive oil, jam, etc to the make-your-own-pizza and pasta nights with some of the other guests. It was truly the highlight of our trip. All the beautiful hill towns are within a short drive and the pool is gorgeous! Just go!

Just what we dreamed of!

  • 5 of 5

This was our favorite place that we stayed during our wonderful Italian vacation! Everything exceeded the description and our expectations! Bozena was completely charming, genuine and helpful. She gave us a wonderful tour of the farm. We created a delicious meal from what we picked ourselves, right down to fresh flowers on the table. Franco created yet another great meal by utilizing saffron from the farm in his various dishes. The whole family made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the help with our train tickets. The apartment was spacious, with modern conveniences, yet it took you back in time. The terraces were fabulous, with potted herbs right outside the French doors and sunsets with wine unforgettable. Being from Florida, we enjoyed the fireplace each night.

If I could give it more stars I would, This place is FANTASTIC!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay on this farm, we were so sad to leave. Franco and Bozena are fun, lively, great hosts, and accommodating. The view from the apartment is spectacular, no complaints on the lodging. There was plenty of space to park our car. The farm is beautiful - we were lucky enough to be there during olive picking season (November)! We got to learn about olive picking and even picked some ourselves! I would highly recommend one of the cooking nights (choice of saffron, pasta, or pizza). We had a blast making pasta, and were pleasantly surprised by the effort Bozena and Franco put in to be hospitable (our meal was a 4 course meal, all homemade, and wine). We will forever remember this place, and highly recommend.

Warmth +

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at Casa Rondini. The website gives all the details re accommodation. It is accurate, so there is no need for comment.

My reason for commenting is that we felt completely at home and relaxed. We were free to wander around, help ourselves to produce from the vegetable garden and purchase eggs, olive oil, wine and saffron on an honour system.

Bozena and Franco radiate a genuine warmth not always found in a rental. We felt very very welcome.

As it was out of season, we were the only guests for the first couple of days, the pool was closed, and the weather very windy. That did not spoil our enjoyment of the area however. We did eat lunch outside a couple of times.

The area is far less touristy in October which is a plus when driving on narrow twisty roads. It is a great base to use for exploration of southern Tuscany, and many parts of Umbria. I would recommend a stay here.

There are many walking paths from Casa Rondini . You can walk to Monte Arale and admire amazing views towards other medieval towns - Monteleone, Citta della Pieve and Parrano. If you like you walk even longer you can carry on to Greppolischieto – little medieval hamlet restored in the late 80s by Anna Fendi well known Italian fashion designer. Is a charming place and the view is fantastic. You can see Lake Trasimeno from there. If you happen to be there in late August and early September you can fill yourself with delicious blackberries. Other lovely walk is to Castel di Fiori. Is a good walk on the sunny days as you go mainly through the forest. Every year in August Castel di Fiori organise a week of Festa with food, dancing and stars watching. From there you can carry on your walk to Castellieri – enclosure turned to fortification since the bronze age and re-used in the Middle ages where some Roman tombs have also been found.
