Nice town shame about the apartment.

  • 2 of 5

Dinan is a lovely town in a beautiful area. However we weren't keen on the appartment. It wasn't very clean or well maintained. Things listed weren't there. We ended up leaving on the Wednesday rather than the Friday as planned. Contacted the owner who said he'd look at my points and get back to me. He never did. It seems the apartment is for sale. Perhaps this explains the lack of upkeep.

Christmas in Dinan

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I spent Christmas with our families at these beautiful apartments. They were so comfortable and decorated for Christmas in all the rooms and it made our holiday extra special. There was a welcome package of wine and beer, chocolates and cookies and many other goodies for the holidays.

The town was also festive and we enjoyed walking through the streets with their colorful Christmas lights. The local market was fun and the town is very picturesque.

The location is good for visiting other sights in the area. We highly recommend these two apartments.

Christmas & NewYear In Dinan

  • 5 of 5

Great Apartment in perfect location to enjoy this lovely historic town. Large rooms, good facilities and tasteful good quality furnishings with (most importantly) comfy beds !!

Had a most memorable festive holiday, the town has a great atmosphere with good shops, restaurants and bars. The winter markets good, lots of local produce and good value.

We've been to lots of self catering holidays some better than others, but this apartment is very good and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Dinan. Thanks to Mark & Sasha.

Owner's Response: Hello again Gordon and family, thanks for the review, and glad your journey home was uneventful. So you enjoyed Dinan,im glad as i am converted and its nice when others see its beautity and charm. It was nice to see a family with grown up children holidaying together, dont see enough familys doing holidays, as the young seem to be in a rush to grow up and holiday with there friends. I know when i look back some of my best memorys are family holidays. The relaxed way of life here is most definatly a factor in enjoying a holiday brake. It works for me, helping the slowing process that i need when comming from London. Dinan is one of the few places i have ever found where life and the community seems to reflect the old values and moral fibre that seems to have vapourised in modern day life. It was nice to have meet you, and we would be glad to welcome again, Sascha and mark.

  • 4 of 5

Hello, we are happy to recommend this apartment and Dinan.

We had a excellent stay in Dinan and really enjoyed the appartment,

it really is finished to a high standard far better than any other accommodation we have found in this price range since we have been holidaying in Brittany (15 years). If you are reading this and dont know the area it is with out doubt the most lovely and historicaly interesting areas in all of Brittany and by far our favorit , Tony and Anne, London.

My first visit to Brittany in Wonderful Dinan.

  • 5 of 5

Well where to start,

the apartment was a recommendation from a friend.

So me and my partner did a little research and was quite amazed at how much this area had to offer,

and so we spent a wonderful week here in early August.

First I must say that the apartment was great.

We had the top floor and it was all very clean and well equipped.

We were met by Anne( who meets the tenants). She really took time to give us the information we wanted( good beaches and some town and local walks ). We were not dissapointed,, St Cast la Guildo was an amazing beach and a lovely marina and town square. We spent some lovely afternoons relaxing there, but there must be thirty or more to chose from.. There are many lovely walks in and around the old town, but walking down to the port and along to Lehon was easy and such a quaint village. We had a great stay and highly recommend this lovely apartment and appreciate the welcome we received. Dinan

and this area is great! There really is a mountain of stuff to see and do.

And would we come back,..?Yes we just booked another visit in October.

Mareli and Phil

Historical Dinan the most beautiful medieval walled city,( 20 mins from old St Malo port & Dinard town).

Dinan is the jewel, an ancient european centre of commerce.

Former seat of the Dukes of Brittany it has the longest ramparts in Brittany.

A enchanting realm of half-timbered houses, located over looking the river Port.

A time locked city full of living history with its architecture dating from 11th century.

The cobbled streets lined with beautiful ancient buildings, bars & bistros

Discover cobbled lanes like the famous 'rue du Jerzual', stroll down to the ancient port, stop to eat & enjoy a relaxing walk along the river to the ancient 13th century abbey & castle at Lehon or Taden village.

Emerald coloured sea & beautiful sandy beaches are only 15 mins drive away,

St Malo (port) & Dinard (airport) are only 20min

This coast is of outstanding beauty. Walk, cycle or drive, discover sandy bays, coastal villages & markets

Other Activities: Extensive historical & architecture places and outstanding coastline. Many golf corses

Golf: Events. This year 2010, is the year of the famous' Fetes des Remparts,' a festival celibrating the middle ages. The streets are draped in the towns medieval banners. Dinan is a great base for golfers with a choice of 6 courses within easy reach , and after your game come back park the car and wander the streets and bars, no need for cabs.

There many courses around Dinan, Dinard is perched on the cliffs and offers views to die for, though i'm not sure most golfers aren't that bothered!

St Cast is another that is on the coast in a bay called Penguin a wonderful bay and just along from St Cast with its new marina, and lovely town square.

The two apartments will sleep 14 persons.
