About Jules Glasspool
I grew up in the West Indies, went to university to study Modern Languages in St Andrews, Scotland, and trained as a journalist, working as Features Editor for Country Living Magazine in London. I'm married to David and have 3 children. I love travelling, and think the best beaches in the world are in the Far West of Cornwall!
Jules Glasspool purchased this Farmhouse in 2006
Why Jules Glasspool chose Sennen Cove
Esther's Field has a special atmosphere. I think this is partly due to its great age and significance (it is Grade II Listed as a historical building of interest) and its architectural charm. It is also because of its amazing position tucked into the hillside above Sennen Cove, affording vast, all-round views of sea, sky and coastline: truly breathtaking.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
At Esther's Field, you will find peace and seclusion, but the glorious Cornish countryside, the beach, the sea and the amenities of Sennen itself are all just a few minutes from the house on foot. You will have the best of both worlds!

Fabulous property, perfect for our large and diverse family group. Very well equipped and lovingly maintained. Thoughtful touches such as cosy blankets, books on the local area and firewood provided. Appreciated the provision of loo rolls, hand soap, dishwasher tablets, clothes washing tablets, milk etc. Very reluctant to leave. We have explored the local area which is beautiful. Highly recommend the walk from the house to Nanjizal arch, along the coastal path (approx 9 km), just stunning! Also the Tuesday morning market was excellent.
Thank you so much for your marvellous review: I am so glad you discovered that stunning walk to Nanjizal and the farmers' market - both wonderful. I am also very glad you found the house so comfortable and felt at home. Do hope we can welcome you back soon - either to Esther's Field or our new property nearby : Polgweder, listing 10033824.

The best holiday home I've ever stayed in!
I'm not sure where to start with this lovely cottage, so many amazing things to say about it, it really did make a week in Cornwall the best I've ever had.
Large, comfy rooms, all cleaned to the highest standard. Beds were super comfortable and the sheets were wonderful. Every room was made to feel like a home, not just a holiday cottage. I could tell that whoever owned it, truly loved it, and I can't blame them!
Waking up to the sounds of the waves down on the beach and the most incredible views, just breathtaking.
There was everything you could possibly need there, the kitchen was stocked to a very high standard, and I couldn't fault it one bit.
I would book this cottage again in a heartbeat, and hopefully I will soon!
Thank you so much for your really wonderful review. I am so delighted that your stay in Esther's Field was such a success and that you found it "The Best"!! What a compliment! I am glad you too found it so comfortable and enjoyed the sound of the waves and those incredible views of the beach and coast. We would love to welcome you back again.
A perfectly presented property with stunning views
We had a wonderful stay. You really notice the attention to detail and we were able to relax and feel at home in this warm and welcoming home. We will definitely be back!
Thank you for your lovely review Chelsey - really appreciate it. I'm so happy you felt at home at Esther's Field - we do try very hard to supply everything you could want, and more! Look forward to welcoming you back again.
A truly lovely week. What a view!!
It may have been the beginning of Feb but that didn’t stop us having the most wonderful week in this delightful cottage.
It’s location is quite something. Every time I opened that front door a breathtaking view was in front of me and it seemed to constantly change. Really Inspiring stuff.
The cottage is fabulous and even though it’s sizeable it manages to retain a very cosy feel, with enough privacy if you fancy a few quiet minutes away from your group. It’s very well equipped and we were never wanting for anything. The fire and Rayburn were very efficient at keeping us toasty and all very straightforward to use. My 83 year old mum and 2 year old found it very easy to navigate their way around too.
I can’t recommend it highly enough and certainly can’t wait to return to drink that view in once more.
Many thanks Jules for letting us stay!
Thank you Pete for such a great review: I really am delighted that your week was such a success for the whole family. Esther's Field is such a cosy house for a winter week - and, as you say, the Far West is literally on your doorstep as you open the door! I do hope we can welcome you back in the summer months so you can see the garden in all its glory.
West Cornwall what a complete joy
As amazing cottage in a fabulous location
So comfortable, warm and well equipped your every need catered for.
All the convenience of a village married with isolation and peace.
Every where clean tidy, and everyone super friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much for your lovely review Lesley! I am so glad you enjoyed your winter break at Esther's Field: it really is a warm and welcoming bolthole in the winter months, with lots of great beach walks from the house and a good fire to come home to! Do hope we can welcome you back again soon.
Esther's Field sits peacefully in its own garden, but is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful white sands and crystal-clear waves of Sennen Cove. There are also pubs, cafes, shops and a little art gallery a few minutes walk from the house. Sennen is famous for its mile-long stretch of golden sands, safe swimming and clear Atlantic rollers. There's an excellent Surf School here too - they provide wetsuits, boards etc. The house is on the Coastal Path, so walks around this spectacular coastline are on your doorstep. Great opportunities for spotting native bird and plantlife. Or go on horseback - the Land's End Stables are just down the road. Visit the amazing Minack Theatre cut out of the cliffs or the rocky outcrops of Land's End, the many nearby coves and beaches and the numerous mystical prehistoric sites. Enjoy the Tate Gallery in St Ives, and the well-known towns and villages of the Far West like Mousehole, St Just and Pezance with excellent small art galleries, cafes and antique shops
Other Activities: hiking, swimming, surfing, coasteering, birdwatching, kite-boarding.
