Come and experience our Southern Hospitality in this circa 200 year old building located in the very heart of historic Charleston!

We offer a 5 star deluxe suite that has been lovingly restored to keep the elegance of yesteryear with all the modern luxuries and conveniences. The suite is charming, well appointed, private (only two suites in our building) and secure (multiple key less entry locks). A custom kitchenette is available in your room with a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dishes and utensils. We provide soaps and towels, coffee, water, chocolates, Biscotti and a bottle of wine! You are sure to enjoy sweet dreams in our queen plush pillow top mattress dressed with 1800 (!) count linens.

Relax on our beautiful slate patio with a tranquil waterfall fountain or in the sitting area right outside your studio door, a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, to read a book on Charleston or to catch up on your emails (free WiFi).

We are immediately across from the Historic Charleston City Market dating back to 1804. Our location is second to none...park your car (self-parking at a discounted rate is available in a covered and camera secured garage only one block from the suites) and never get back in it if shopping on King Street, dining in first class restaurants, and discovering Revolutionary and Civil War history is your goal. You are sure to find pleasure in visiting one of America's oldest museums, touring the Charleston Harbor by boat or visiting the famous Ft. Sumter, strolling through the adjoining historic neighborhoods and sneaking views of private Charleston courtyard gardens. King Street, known for designer shopping and antiquing and is only one block away.

We own One of a Kind Art & Fine Craft Gallery, only a few steps from our suites.

About Terri and Carl

While visiting the area in 1998 we fell in love with the charm of this historic city and its surroundings, the Southern hospitality and relaxed lifestyle and decided to move here and make it home! We love it more each year. We opened One of a Kind Gallery the year we moved to Charleston. One of a Kind features art and fine crafts from nationally acclaimed artists as well as art by regional and local artisans. We have decorated the suite with lovely original art by artisans from this region. The gallery is located on the same street as the suite, only a few doors down. Let's keep it all on the same block! ;)

The location is second to none! This is the VERY BEST location in downtown Charleston!

What makes this studio unique

The building has a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream shop on the ground floor and opens up to a charming courtyard in the back. There is a complimentary trolley that stops immediately in front of our building. Bike taxis and horse drawn carriages are a popular way of getting around and discovering Charleston's historic treasures and landmarks.

My wife and I had such a wonderful experience staying at this suite. It is in the perfect location in historic Charleston. We had all of our restaurant reservations booked in advance...all of the best restaurants in Charleston are within a few blocks of the suite. The room was surprisingly spacious and completely updated (exactly as shown in the photos). The owners left us a bottle of wine and a nice card for our anniversary. Although I was a little concerned prior to arrival about the check in process, detailed instructions were sent to us which were easy to follow. Unloading our luggage was a breeze as we pulled up directly in front of the door and unpacked before parking our car in the garage located one block away. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to have the Charleston experience!

Charming suite in perfect location

If you don't want to pay top dollar for a Charleston hotel, but still want the charm and be walking distance to everything -- look no further! This suite is just right for a stay in historic Charleston. We parked in the nearby garage and only moved our car once when we wanted to visit local beaches; otherwise, we walked everywhere!! The room was comfortable and with cozy decor. We loved that coffee and water was provided. The sheets on the bed were the softest I think I've ever slept on! The kitchenette was great to store little snacks and breakfast foods. And you can smell the waffle cones from Ben and Jerry's downstairs (yes...the smell lured us in for a scoop!). Terri and Carl were easy to communicate with. Check in and out was an easy process. Would highly recommend for someone hoping to stay in the heart of Charleston in a charming setting! We'd stay there again and recommend to friends.

Great Location!

My husband and I rented this studio for a 3-night getaway. The location is fantastic--we could walk to anything we wanted to do--, the unit is very clean and the kitchen well-appoined for breakfasts and snacks. Nice linens and plenty of them. Teri and Carl and Donna were extremely hospitable and communicative. The only negative during our stay was construction noise in the neighborhood that began really early in the morning! I highly recommend, and would stay at one of their properties again.

Lovely suite in the heart of Charleston

The suite was well appointed, clean and private. The extra touches such as wine, chocolates, and coffee made us feel welcome. The linens were so soft that we melted in on the first night. We also appreciated the white noise machine and Bose speaker which helped to drown out the city noise for a comfortable night.
