Come and experience our Southern Hospitality in this circa 200 year old building located in the very heart of historic Charleston!

We offer a 5 star deluxe suite that has been lovingly restored to keep the elegance of yesteryear with all the modern luxuries and conveniences. The suite is charming, well appointed, private (only two suites in our building) and secure (multiple key less entry locks). A custom kitchenette is available in your room with a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dishes and utensils. We provide soaps and towels, coffee, water, chocolates, Biscotti and a bottle of wine! You are sure to enjoy sweet dreams in our queen plush pillow top mattress dressed with 1800 (!) count linens.

Relax on our beautiful slate patio with a tranquil waterfall fountain or in the sitting area right outside your studio door, a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, to read a book on Charleston or to catch up on your emails (free WiFi).

We are immediately across from the Historic Charleston City Market dating back to 1804. Our location is second to none...park your car (self-parking at a discounted rate is available in a covered and camera secured garage only one block from the suites) and never get back in it if shopping on King Street, dining in first class restaurants, and discovering Revolutionary and Civil War history is your goal. You are sure to find pleasure in visiting one of America's oldest museums, touring the Charleston Harbor by boat or visiting the famous Ft. Sumter, strolling through the adjoining historic neighborhoods and sneaking views of private Charleston courtyard gardens. King Street, known for designer shopping and antiquing and is only one block away.

We own One of a Kind Art & Fine Craft Gallery, only a few steps from our suites.

About Terri and Carl

While visiting the area in 1998 we fell in love with the charm of this historic city and its surroundings, the Southern hospitality and relaxed lifestyle and decided to move here and make it home! We love it more each year. We opened One of a Kind Gallery the year we moved to Charleston. One of a Kind features art and fine crafts from nationally acclaimed artists as well as art by regional and local artisans. We have decorated the suite with lovely original art by artisans from this region. The gallery is located on the same street as the suite, only a few doors down. Let's keep it all on the same block! ;)

The location is second to none! This is the VERY BEST location in downtown Charleston!

What makes this studio unique

The building has a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream shop on the ground floor and opens up to a charming courtyard in the back. There is a complimentary trolley that stops immediately in front of our building. Bike taxis and horse drawn carriages are a popular way of getting around and discovering Charleston's historic treasures and landmarks.

There is a top of the line Queen Euro pillow-top mattress to ensure your sweet dreams. Our bed is dressed with 1800 thread count linens together with down alternative pillows. Our bath is custom tiled wall to wall! Our historic building is charmingly furnished and is appointed with original artwork by local artisans. Quiet oasis in Charleston

Wonderful, quiet oasis in the middle of busy Charleston. This is a lovely, large studio directly across the street from the city market. In spite of warm weather, the studio stayed remarkably cool. There was little clue that outside the main door is the bustling market jammed with tourists. The decor is beautifully tasteful, and it was wonderful to have a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker on hand. Teri and Carlos also had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. To note: the room we had was on the third floor and there is no elevator. This was not a problem for us, but could be in you have a hard time bringing luggage up two flights of wooden stairs. Great location if you want to be in the center of all the shopping action of Charleston.

Charming rental

The suite was very nicely decorated and in an excellent location. The owners included lots personal touches, such as a bottle of wine, water, chocolate and coffee. Check in and out was super easy. We parked the car once we arrived and walked everywhere we went. We would recommend the carriage ride, as it was a good way to learn the history of Charleston. There was lots of great food around. We especially enjoyed eating breakfast at Toast and dinner at Magnolias. We would definitely recommend this property.

The suite was impressive. Very clean, well decorated, and comfortable.

Making last minute plans, we spent 2 nights here after we left Myrtle Beach before heading back towards home in Michigan. The suite was perfect , as was its location on Market. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Our rates are from low season $169 per nt to high season $329 per nt. Deposit required at time of booking to secure dates. Parking is available for a reduced rate of $16 per nt in the secure Cumberland parking garage located one block from suite. We will deduct the parking fee from your $100 security deposit for your convenience.

We recommend that our guests take out a traveler's insurance policy that covers your reimbursement if you should need to cancel within 60 days of your stay with us.
