Come and experience our Southern Hospitality in this circa 200 year old building located in the very heart of historic Charleston!

We offer a 5 star deluxe suite that has been lovingly restored to keep the elegance of yesteryear with all the modern luxuries and conveniences. The suite is charming, well appointed, private (only two suites in our building) and secure (multiple key less entry locks). A custom kitchenette is available in your room with a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dishes and utensils. We provide soaps and towels, coffee, water, chocolates, Biscotti and a bottle of wine! You are sure to enjoy sweet dreams in our queen plush pillow top mattress dressed with 1800 (!) count linens.

Relax on our beautiful slate patio with a tranquil waterfall fountain or in the sitting area right outside your studio door, a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, to read a book on Charleston or to catch up on your emails (free WiFi).

We are immediately across from the Historic Charleston City Market dating back to 1804. Our location is second to none...park your car (self-parking at a discounted rate is available in a covered and camera secured garage only one block from the suites) and never get back in it if shopping on King Street, dining in first class restaurants, and discovering Revolutionary and Civil War history is your goal. You are sure to find pleasure in visiting one of America's oldest museums, touring the Charleston Harbor by boat or visiting the famous Ft. Sumter, strolling through the adjoining historic neighborhoods and sneaking views of private Charleston courtyard gardens. King Street, known for designer shopping and antiquing and is only one block away.

We own One of a Kind Art & Fine Craft Gallery, only a few steps from our suites.

About Terri and Carl

While visiting the area in 1998 we fell in love with the charm of this historic city and its surroundings, the Southern hospitality and relaxed lifestyle and decided to move here and make it home! We love it more each year. We opened One of a Kind Gallery the year we moved to Charleston. One of a Kind features art and fine crafts from nationally acclaimed artists as well as art by regional and local artisans. We have decorated the suite with lovely original art by artisans from this region. The gallery is located on the same street as the suite, only a few doors down. Let's keep it all on the same block! ;)

What makes this studio unique

The building has a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream shop on the ground floor and opens up to a charming courtyard in the back. There is a complimentary trolley that stops immediately in front of our building. Bike taxis and horse drawn carriages are a popular way of getting around and discovering Charleston's historic treasures and landmarks.

What a treasure!

This was a perfect location to explore Charleston! Very clean, beautifully appointed and easy parking option. Terri made our stay very special and ensured everything was ready for our arrival. Love her art gallery, just down the street. We took Terri's advice and booked a sunset sailing cruise, delightful! We also took a carriage ride around town, well worth it, very informative. Rented bicycles one afternoon, and did a little shopping on top of that. We had no intention of cooking but truly appreciated the delicious snacks, great coffee with cream, and a bottle of wine - the kitchenette was perfect. All in all, a treasure of a find, would highly recommend this suite!

Charleston Vacation Rental

My boyfriend and I had a great experience in Charleston. The place was clean, beautifully decorated, and convenient in terms of location. Although we loved the terrace, it was just too hot outdoors for us to sit there. I accidentally left the battery charger to my camera in the bedroom. Terri promptly shipped it back to me. We would definitely return if we make another trip to Charleston.

Beautiful suite in an awesome location

The suite was beautiful, clean, and exactly as advertised. The location makes walking all of historic downtown easy. So much to do within walking distance. We also used their parking pass which was very easy. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Charleston. Terri was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

THE BEST PLACE EVER!

We stay in Charleston often. We have stayed in upscale hotels and quaint properties. This is by far the best place to stay in Charleston. I cannot give it enough stars. However, I would love to keep this secret to myself so it would be booked the next time I want to stay here again. Everything about this suite is 5 stars plus! Location, bedding, towels, kitchenette, treats/note left by owner, parking, great owners to communicate with when booking your trip....the list goes on and on. It is PERFECT!

This place is awesome! It is beautiful and the location is perfect!! Even though you are right above all the action of downtown and the market the room was very quiet and cozy! Terri and Carl have thought of everything; we can't wait to come back again!
