About the property

Luxury 2 bedroom apartments with the use of an 18m long swimming pool

Maison du Lac is a Bioclimatic, Passif House built along the edge of a koi carp lake which reflects the sun and moon light on to the private terraces of the 5 apartments

It has a 18m long swimming pool and a childrens play area. The northern side of the building has a traditional provencal mas style, the southern lake side with its large covered terraces and bay windows has more of a tropical colonial feel.

Each 52m2 apartment with its own 18m2 private terrace and Zen garden is styled with an harmonious mix of contemporary and classic. The entrance corridor separates the 2 bedrooms, the shower room and the toilet.

The 22m2 open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area opens out through the wall of bay windows to the generous south facing lake side terrace.

The Bioclimatic concept of a south facing building with covered terraces maximises the suns heat during the winter months and avoids overheating in the summer. The heating and cooling is controlled by an ultra efficient thermodynamic double flux ventilating system, as the apartment is extremely well insulated and airtight the energy consumption will not be more then 15 Kwh/m2/year (about 10 x less than a typical house)

The stylish, well organised fully equipped kitchen will be a pleasure to cook in and in a few seconds the dinning table can be moved from the living area to the terrace to let you enjoy the pleasure of al fresco dinning.

Travertine stone flooring has been used for the whole apartment including the walk in shower and terrace.

About Peter Wylly

I am a British product/interior designer and sculpter, I move to Provence in 2001 where I co-designed built and managed a Luxury hotel called Chateau de Massillan.

I sold the Hotel on 2013 and started calculating my next project with a more suitable lifestyle for myself my wife Iryna and our 2 young children.

We have a love of travel and have visited many beautifull counties before starting family life.

Peter Wylly purchased this apartment in 2015

Myslf and my wife love provence, we love the food, the weather, the culture.

What makes this apartment unique

I have designed my ideal house probably over 300 times since my first drawings when I was 12. Finally after the sale of my hotel I decided to build one.

I love beautiful achitecture, Zen gardens, the bioclimatic building philosophy and the unique light that reflects off the waters surface.

  • The walk-in shower is made with travertine stone tiles, there is a towel warmer and lots of under the sink storage space.

Great stay!

We had a brilliant stay at Maison du Lac.

Peter was very helpful and provided ample information on the area. The place has been very tastefully built. Peter has clearly paid attention to every detail from the exterior carp pond and play area to the interior design and set up of the apartment.

Will definitely be back.
