WE NOW HAVE LOWER RATES FOR 2016,WHICH MAKES THIS PROPERTY EXCEPTIONAL VALUE FOR MONEY.
The villa was bought for the family, but by renting we can share ,what was our dream.
My husband and myself were married in Lindos in 2002, and Lindos was our first holiday together,we fell in love with it and have been lucky enough to have a home there.
We try to go out there 3 times a year. My two sons and my husband also spent some time working out there.
I am a professional caterer and we all live in Swansea,South Wales.
Victoria Smith purchased this villa in 2008
The property was a new build in 2008,and it was very exciting to watch it being built.
We saw the land before the property, was built and although it is not in Lindos, Kalathos is a fabulous village with everything you might need,it is on the bus route for all over the island,so if you don't want to drive it is not necessary.
The beach is only a brief walk, and the bars in the village are so friendly and the food very good.A large supermarket is only a 2 min drive away.
It is also near to a five star hotel,so if you fancy some entertainment they allow you to go in and join them.
It is only a 5 min drive to Lindos, which is spectacular.
The villa is very private, being only two villas on the site.It is only a brief walk to the main road, but there is no noise.
It is ideal for a family, and very safe.
It is hard to take an overall photo of the property as it has 3 dimensions, but i am sure you would not be disappointed with your stay if you booked the villa,it has something for every one,and very child friendly.
The evenings are particularly good, to sit on the balcony and take in the stars, and just have peace and quiet.
One of my best birthdays,in July was spent there, where the family did a bar b q, and we all just chilled out in the garden and had the most wonderful time(with no prospect of rain).
My 82 year old dad has been there and loves it,he is going again this year.So from the young to the old it is suitable for everyone.
We have customers returning year after year, and no one is disappointed.
I can also arrange car hire for your stay, and they will also pick up at the airport,a local company with great deals.
2 very relaxing weeks spent by the pool, visited Lindos and Rhodes town by local bus.Great bars in the village, for food and snacks. Also the lady provided the meat for our bar b q.
I learned to swim in the pool (melissa age 5).
All in all a very relaxing holiday.
We stayed at the villa for a 2 weeks .Two of us from London and four our friends from Lithuania The villa had everything we needed including lots of pots and pans, a cot and a washing machine and everything you could possibly wish for, to make your holiday amazing! The pool was great, cleaned whilst we were there and a lovely b-b-q area that we used daily. Overall we all had a fantastic holiday of two weeks. We was amazed at the scenery and landscape, friendliness of people's, beauty of Rhodes island, taste of delicious food. The area of Kalathos is lovely, although its fairly quiet, which for us was perfect. There are a few bars and local shops, including a bakery which was amazing, all only a 5 min stroll from the villa. The beach is about a 15 min walk, which was lovely, where there is a beach bars that is good value. One of the local beach bar, and restaurant called ,Ostria' was fantastic ! The food was excellent and very good value! And the owners were lovely and very approachable , helping with any enquiries you may have. Polis the owner of the bar, was amicable and friendly. It was best holiday ever. We definitely will recommend this villa to our friends..THANK YOU FOR FANTASTIC HOLIDAY VICTORIA !!!
The Villa was very clean and provided with a large range of kitchen equipment that made life easy to produce meals. A welcome pack was provided which was very welcome.
The property is very private and has a well maintained pool which was regularly cleaned during our visit.
The Villa is about 100 yards up a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill looking down the hill on the left there are two cafe/bars. We used Snack by the Road and had excellent friendly service from Nicko and Despina. About 100 yards down the road on the same side is a fruit and vegetable stall staffed by an English speaking young woman, on occasions her Mother also is at the stall. They are very friendly and prices are better then the supermarket. The bus stop is to the right of the hill end and a timetable and costs are shown. Opposite is a small bakery, but remember Greek bread lasts a day, so do not buy too much. One kilometer beyond the bus stop is the supermarket. It is small but sells most food and essentials one needs. The meat counter is small but the meat is good quality. If you need a taxi to take you and your bags back try and flag it down. If you telephone for a taxi the charges start from the time it is dispatched.
The turn left after the bakery has a well illuminated pavement that leads down to Blue Note, Osarias and other restaurants and the beach.
Excellent, private, fully equipted house. Highly recommended. Although Internet was not available during the weeks spent there, the house is worthy. The property is well-maintained, its description is accurate and its location is fabulous to visit the island. We would repeat both the house and Rhodes.
a delightful and peaceful location but also close to the local bars and tavernas so you can stroll down in minutes, a minute away from the direct road to lindos and Rhodes. The owner is very proactive in ensuring you have all the information you may need and frankly I doubt you will find a better villa for the money. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We have been coming to Rhodes for the last 16yrs having stayed in many Villas / Apartments and Studios we can honestly say Villa Andreas was by far the best we have stayed in.The location was perfect, the Villa was very clean and well maintained and included everything you would need(home from home). On arrival at Villa Andreas the welcome pack was second to none. The pool was excellent and well maintained by Jamie who was on hand if you needed any help. All the local bars and restaurants were very friendly serving great food not expensive very large portions.Victoria the owner was very helpful and friendly with all communication from start to finish. We would definitely recommend Villa Andreas for the perfect holiday whether relaxing or sightseeing.
Thankyou Victoria for sharing your fantastic villa
Lesley & Graham
Villa Andreas is a well euipped and comfortable villa. The air conditioning was efficient and made all the bedrooms comfortable for sleeping at night.
Although the pool is quite small, it was extremely warm and very inviting, especially in the heat of August. The pool was kept immaculately clean, with several visits from Jamie, the pool cleaner, who was also a mine of useful local information. The children had a wonderful time and would happily have spent the whole day by the pool, with the added bonus of few neighbours to disturb with the noise!
The location was ideal, centrally located to explore all the sights Rhodes had to offer, from the spectacular kite surfers at Prasonisi in the South to Rhodes town in the North, Megalithos and Kamiros on the east coast and of course Lindos and the Acropolis only a few minutes drive away. An easy inland drive to Profitis Ilias was rewarded with tranquillity and stunning forest-covered hillsides.
The sea at Kalathos was warm and clear, but dropped away a bit too deeply for young children. A short drive north, the beach at Agathi has soft white sand and shallow turquise water, ideal for families. Sand \ water shoes are an essential though, as the sand was blisteringly hot (literally). Stegna beach has character and an evening swim in St Pauls Bay under the Acropolis is idyllic.
However, what made this holiday particulalry special for us was the care and helpfulness of Victoria, the owner , and the welcoming warmth of the local people.
From first booking enquiry, Victoria went more than the extra mile to help with our holiday arrangements and local information.
The local tavernas, Bar on the Road and Castelloes , were a home from home, with good simple and extremely reasonably priced food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Vasillia (Castelloes) was amazing, providing everything from airport transfers and flexible low cost car hire to barbecue supplies and sightseeing tips.
There were 6 in our party, including 4 children with age ranges from 5 to 16. We all agreed it was a perfect holiday.
Kalathos is a quiet village on the east coast of Rhodes, it has stunning sea views and has all the amenities you would require all year around, it is on the main bus route so a car is not a necessity. The famous village of Lindos is only a 10 minute drive away with the ancient acropolis overlooking it and the cobbled streets full of tavernas, shops and restaurants. There are a variety of beaches on the coast some with watersports. Rhodes town is 40k from Kalathos and easily accessible by bus or an organised trip by coach or boat. The old and new towns should not be missed, there is also a water park near to Rhodes town. Another point of interest is Prassonisi where the two seas meet, the Aegean and the Med.
