A two bedroom, luminous flat with stunning panoramic views on the 6th floor (with elevator access) overlooking the Basilica of San Marco. We are located off of Mercerie del Orologio in the heart of the historic city center, just seconds from the famous Saint Mark's Square. We are an Italian/American family that lives permanently in Venice and hope to make you feel at home away from home. The apartment sleeps 3 + 2 persons comfortably. The layout: One spacious master bedroom with a private terrace that overlooks the Basilica of St. Mark's, One cozy single bedroom and luminous living/dining room with a sleeper sofa for two. The main terrace runs along the living room and the kitchen and overlooks the Bell Tower of St. Mark's and the Venice skyline. Sunsets from the main terrace are breathtaking, the entire living/dining & kitchen changes colors with the suns rays! When relaxing on the terrace you can often times here the orchestra playing below in St. Mark's square.
Location: We are located off of Mercerie del Orologio in the heart of the historic city center, just seconds from the famous Saint Marks's Square. From our apartment you can walk to the Rialto in under 10minutes to enjoy evening cocktails along the Grand Canal. The closest vaporetto stops are San Zaccharia and San Marco (Valaresso).
I am a lover of life and all its opportunities. I am originally from Toledo, Ohio and travelled to Venice for the first time at the age of 18 in the year 2000. I met my husband on my second day in this amazing city and knew immediately my life was going to change forever..... 'Just Stay' were his exact words. Almost 12 years later I am now a wife and mother of two amazing little Venetians. In 2007 when I was pregnant with my first child I knew I had to figure out a way to do what I love and take care of my loved ones.... and that was the beginning of CharmingVenice. My husband is a talented architect and I an interior designer. We had a blast designing our first rental apartment, which lead to the second, then the third. We love the city we live in and want everyone who comes to fall in love too...

Words have not been invented to tell you how much I enjoyed my month in Venice! Time, at this point in my life, is my most precious possession and the spending of it is really an art form! :-) The apartment was perfect..everything I could wish for..including it's owners. I enjoyed shopping by vaporetto, no cars, the neighborhoods, the off the tourist trail eateries and those perfect moments as each day woke..to the bells! Even the crowds were part of living in Venice..... This truly was a once in any lifetime's perfect vacation.

Cannot say enough good things about the apartment or owners. I am not one to gush online but it is deserved here.
My best example was from my daughter. When we arrived, we stepped out onto the balcony off the Master bedroom (there is another balcony on the other side of the flat!) and she started to cry. I thought it was the jet lag and gave her a hug. I said whats wrong and she replied, "It's so beautiful here!"
The location is spectacular, the views over the rooftops priceless. The apartment has everything - A/C, comfy beds, a full kitchen, clothes washer/dryer and even an elevator.
The owners have provided a folder with the most amazing local guide for restaurants, groceries, shops and other tourist needs. The best part is you get to avoid the tourist traps and eat at the restaurants frequented by the locals.
If you look at the prices just for a traditional hotel room in Venice and then realize what you get and where this unit is located, it is a no-brainer!
This apartment is owned by a sweet local couple who also owns the Cima Rosa Bed and Breakfast. They are totally honest and will help you with whatever issues you run into.

This flat is best for 2 adults and 1, maybe 2 children as there is only one bathroom. It will sleep more using the couch in the living room but one toilet could be an issue with more people. That is the only possible issue I can think of.
LOVED this rental. Literally steps from Piazza San Marco, it's tucked away on a quiet court away from crowds. Easy to walk or take vaporetto anywhere in Venice, super convenient to all tourist landmarks. Slept 4 (spouse and self, son, sister in law) comfortably. Many nice little touches: kitchen doesn't just have plates and utensils, also has a toaster, cheese grater, everything you need to make real meals. Washer is handy. Brittany was very helpful and left a list of recommended restaurants for every sestiere, a number of which we tried and enjoyed. It's on the 6th floor, elevator works and the roof level view of the Venetian sky is spectacular at every hour. We would happily stay there again.
Beautiful well equipped appartment situated in the heart of St Mark's with everything you need right outside your door. We have already recommend it to our friends and relatives.
The apartment was as described, and looked as though there were recent improvements made. We took advantage of the well equipped kitchen, having breakfast on the terrace every morning and prepared dinner in most nights, enjoying antipasti and dinner on the terrace.
The location is very convenient for arrival and departure. The terraces high above the city are as peaceful as can be. We enjoyed the proximity to the bell ringers atop the Clock Tower. You would never know the crowds of Piazza San Marco were so close. When taking to the streets, you can quickly leave the crowds behind and enjoy exploring the city. For grocery shopping, the Coop Market is nearby, and for fresh seafood and produce, the Rialto Market is also within easy walking distance. We found the information that Brittany put together very helpful.
When we return to Venice, there is no doubt we will schedule around the availability of Brittany's lovely apartment.
We stayed for the second time at Saint Mark's apartment and enjoyed it again.

The Saint Mark's Apartment was exactly as advertised and I couldn't recommend it enough, especially because of the two terraces and the views they gave. It is hidden in a courtyard, down an alley just off of the busy Calle Del Orologio, and is an oasis of calm above the hustle and bustle of the streets below. It is relaxing, comfortable, and quiet. You could not ask for a better location. This property is well provisioned throughout and Wi-Fi was great. Brittany and Valentina (who met us on arrival) were easy to deal with and gave us some great advice on local restaurants (Ristorante Rosa Rossa and Trattoria Alla Madonna to name a couple which we tried). I look forward to returning and have already recommended the apartment to friends.

CANCELLATIONS; A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
