This is a very well appointed apartment in Sao Martinho Do Porto ( sleeps 6 ) with pool and with sea views over Sao Martinho Bay. Just 65 metres from beach in the ever popular Palmeiras complex.

The property benefits from an elevated position giving it sweeping sea views over the bay of Sao Martinho. The apartment is just a few steps away from the beach (65 metres) in the most sought-after area of Sao Martinho Do Porto.

The apartment is light and spacious with contemporary furnishings, it has been equipped to a superb standard. The private balcony on the upper floor is large and perfect for entertaining. An additional private patio accessed from the lounge and kitchen has direct access to the pool (handy for families). Both the balcony and patio have sea and pool views. The property also has free fast and unlimited wi-fi for guests use.

In the lounge you have a very wide range of options for channels as there is a Satellite for standard British channels and also a MEO cable television subscription with 140 channels in many languages. clean and well equiped

this property is in a good and in a quite position a good view over the bay and very well equipped with everything you need including salt pepper cooking oil. the pool is very clean if a little on the cool side but not too bad when you become climatized.

Great apartment - five star if you get quiet neighbours

This apartment comes with everything that you need, including nice extra touches such as washing up liquid/pasta/loads of toilet rolls (you know, the annoying things you normally have to sort out but never need a full bottle/packet).

Great balcony, nice pool, easy parking, couple of minutes to the beach and restaurants.

But it is a large apartment block and if you have loads of noisy kids at the pool, neighbours who come home in the middle of the night etc you will hear them! Hence, if you want peace and quiet go elsewhere.

Probably ideal for families with younger kids - which is probably true of the whole town.

A good place to be

Immediately welcoming, this comfortable, stylish and immaculate apartment is fully equipped to the highest standard. It is situated in the most perfect position with stunning views across the bay, and within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars and shops where we found the local people to be very polite and friendly.The owners are exceptionally kind, not intrusive but always on hand should you have a problem or seek advice.We have just returned from a long winter stay here and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday in the delightful little town of Sao Martinho

Excellent resort and place to stay

I had 5 nights with my wife and 5 and 2 year old daughters. Really enjoyed our stay and the highlights were:

A fantastic beach area: very sheltered water, fine white sand

Locals are very helpful. Provide genuine service not just unwilling service expecting a tip

Apartment has an amazing view (as per photos). Well stocked with essential and non perishable items. We enjoyed the private pool every day

Visiting the sand dunes and then walking to the beach on the other side of the bay is recommended

We didn't feel the need to do any more than pool,and beach each day as that's what the girls love

Excellent apartment

I would recommend this apartment to anybody. It is in a great spot, just a short walk from the beach and some great restaurants. We enjoyed some amazing seafood (freshly caught of course) and even managed to do a little cooking ourselves in the well appointed kitchen. The pool was great and kept very clean and the views from the balconies were breathtaking. It is only a short drive from Lisbon Airport, and I would recommend hiring a car so that you can thoroughly explore the surrounding area. There is lots to discover and guide books are available in the apartment to help you plan your routes. Very thoughtful! We can not wait to go back.

A little Portuguese gem

This apartment has the most amazing views! We couldn't have enough of the glorious view of the bay from the balcony. Its proximity to the safe, sandy beach is ideal for families, as well as having access to a delightful, private pool. The spacious apartment is spotlessly clean, well- decorated and well-maintained throughout, with many thoughtful touches: there's detailed local touring and restaurant advice, and even a DVD selection is provided!

October 2008 was our first visit - the first of many!

The beautiful town of Sao Martinho Do Porto is built around a beautiful bay naturally shaped by the sea to form a perfect shell. Making the most of the view of the bay a string of cafes and restaurants have emerged offering a diverse range of food and drink.

The majority of the restaurants you’ll come across will be traditional Portuguese restaurants specialising in Seafood. Portugal has a superb tradition for fresh fish and shellfish and typically the dishes are reasonably simple making the fresh seafood the feature of the meal. Many traditional restaurants will serve dishes known as Cataplanas. These dishes vary considerably depending on the restaurant but they are delicious and include a variety of seafood cooked with onions and tomatoes to make an extremely tasty casserole. Another traditional dish to look out for is pork with clams.

At lunchtime a number of restaurants serve a Prato do dia, this is the ‘dish of the day’ but it may be up to three courses. These dishes are typically very good value.
