Just what the doctor ordered, a healing respite from big city stress. What a wonderful way to beat the Sonoran heat. We highly recommend the walk to the Rio Grand.
Just what we needed after traveling through the 4 Corners area. The vista is breathtaking for sure, but it always changing which made this home special. The Sangre de Christo mountain range could entertain you all day. To the west is the Rio Grande gorge. Not just the bridge, but just down the road from the casita....natural hot springs. A hike and climb back up but the springs are worth the trip. Of course Taos and all it has to offer for any personality is a 6 mile drive. Our hosts gave us the name of some very good places to eat and for me...the art. This casita has everything you need and it is spotless. What you see in the pictures are my exact memories of this little home away from home. Thanks for sharing Janelle and Tony.
This property is truly a gem. My husband and I went for a two night weekend trip and were blown away. The owners Tony and Janelle take excellent care of the Casita, it was extremely clean and had everything we could have wanted and more - even robes for the hot tub - which we enjoyed under the stars one night. The vistas were incredible, it is close enough to town to be convenient, and yet very quiet and relaxing. Do be sure to hike down to the hot springs, it's a pretty short walk and was very relaxing and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your casita with us, we would love to come back!
Can I rate this 11 stars? The setting, casita, and the owners are beyond compare. We were so happy here and found ourselves calling it "home" right away. It is a wonderful way to see more than just the town of Taos and the location can't be beat-- walking distance to the Mamby hot springs?? Wow! If you haven't checked out Taos, or if you have but haven't gotten the full vibe, this is a must-stay. It was quiet, peaceful, and well, home for the few days that we were there. We're already talking return trips.... Yes, plural.
My husband and I had the most amazing stay at the Casita!! The accommodations were so perfect and peaceful. We were walking distance from the Rio Grande Gorge which made for a great Sunday hike it's only a short drive to the plaza. Plus the owners are so friendly and welcoming, it really felt like our home away from home! It was our first trip to Taos and we still can't stop talking about it, and this charming place played a huge part of that. We can't wait to go back!!
My visit to the Casita was absolutely wonderful. Every trip you book online has a risk of being not quite what you expected. In this case the Casita exceeded my expectations. It was so beautifully kept and everything I needed was available. The scenery alone was breathtaking and I actually ran out of adjectives to describe it to my family back home! I sent videos instead :)
The Casita is perfect for a peaceful and private stay at home but also just as perfect as a home base for exploring the area. It is very close to the town of Taos and has so many hiking trails and scenic stops to see. The owners were so friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. It was my first solo trip off the East Coast and I am so thankful I had such a wonderful place to stay! I would highly recommend the Casita and would love to go back.
