Alvechurch is situated 12 miles from Birmingham, 3 miles from Redditch, 20 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, and 30 minutes by car to the NEC. The Old House Stables was the stables for the neighbouring house, which was a coaching house in the 17th century. Shakespeare is reputed to have written part of the 'The Tempest' whilst staying there. The local vicar was defrocked for doing naughties with the scullery maid in the 19th century. Certainly an historic property. The stables themselves are nicely furnished with sleeping facilities for up to 9 persons. Two bath/showers/toilets, lounge, dining room, 4 bedrooms etc. Nice garden and patio area. Post office, shops, restaurants, takeaways, pubs & social clubs are short walk (1 minute walk) away in the village centre. Alvechurch train station is 1/2 mile away, with trains to Birmingham and Redditch. The Worcester canal with canal boating facilities and adjoining pub are nearby. It's a lovely house, great position and value for money.

Beautiful and well kept
Tony was so accommodating and the property was very comfortable and perfect for our needs. We would definitely recommend it and will hopefully be back next time we're in town. Thank you
