About The Owner

I am an avid world traveler which is my passion. When not traveling, I enjoy the 'SLO' life and spend my time with hobbies like cooking, designing, and hiking the surrounding hills. I am happy to be of assistance if needed and/or be your concierge.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005

Why The Owner chose Old Town Historic District

I chose this home because of its sunny rooms and ideal location to walking downtown and nearby outdoor activities and beaches. I love being able to look out and see San Luis Mtn. from the front porch swing. The weather is almost always perfect and there is always something fun to do in this area.

What makes this house unique

All within walking distance, there are great restaurants, tapas and coffee bars, boutiques, Farmers' Market (Thursdays), summer concerts in Mission Plaza and movie houses (The Palm Theater shows foreign films!). But if you venture out a little further, we have incredible day trips such as: Morro Bay for whale watching and other sea life, Big Sur for world class vistas, Avila Beach for surfing and swimming and sunbathing. Even Santa Barbara is just only an hour and a half away! But the best part of this house is coming back from a great outing and relaxing with friends or family in the cheerful, cozy atmosphere, or waking to the sound of the Mission chimes downtown.

Charming home, great location, friendly owner, excellent rental

  • 5 of 5

My adult daughter stayed here during a month-long internship in San Luis Obispo in January 2018, and she loved it. The house is very charming, very clean, lots of light, delightful porch (with porch swing!) and patio for enjoying the California breezes, very quiet street, super safe neighborhood, easy walking distance to a terrific downtown area with restaurants and shops and a weekly farmer's market. Jamie the owner is very friendly and helpful when needed, but respects privacy and stays invisible in a separate bungalow at the back of the property when not needed. Comfortable beds, kitchen with everything you need, nice desk area for work and homey living room for relaxing. Excellent rental. Recommended!

Quiet and cosy oasis blocks from downtown SLO

  • 5 of 5

Jamie was a fantastic host and took excellent care to make sure that we

were comfortable. She's a very good source of information about activities

and eateries in the area. We stayed in July/August with our two teenage kids

and found that there was something to please everyone in our group in and

around SLO. The beds and linens were outstandingly comfortable and the quiet

and quaint surrounding neighborhood made for restful sleep.

We enjoyed cooking in her well-equipped kitchen and grilling in the courtyard.

It's a thoughfully and tastefully furnished house that felt like a home.

We loved it! Thank you Jamie and hope to see you again for another stay.
