Why The Owner chose Coastal Oregon

We fell in love with these quiet windswept dunes with beach homes and we'll never forget the first time we walked on this amazing beach. We will always treasure being literally steps from one of the most spectacular beaches in Bandon.

What makes this house unique

One of my favorite things to do is watch the sun set over the open Pacific. As the sun sets, the rooms in this home glow with sunlight.

Quiet beach and room for the family

  • 4 of 5

The house is an easy 1 1/2 block walk to the beach. The house has 3 levels so if stairs are an issue it's probably not the house for you. While clean, it could use some fresh paint and clean carpets (which might be a challenge given the sand that gets tracked in). The windows we're covered in sea spray, which might be a given, but would be nice to have been able see through them a bit better. The house is spacious and cozy at the same time. It's well equipped - including some beach toys. And... the beach is great and very quiet. The biggest crowd was maybe 10 - 15 people at one time.

Lovely house, easy walk to a gorgeous beach

  • 5 of 5

The "Spyglass" house just south of Bandon was a wonderful experience for us last week. We were introducing our 3 kids to the Oregon coast, and the house was a perfect home base for that. Lots of space to spread out, comfortable beds, terrific open kitchen/living/dining room design with a wall of windows to the ocean, and very well stocked in our opinion. Nice to have a garage to use as well during the stay. Bring a sleep mask if needed, because it gets bright early! Wireless connection was very slow, but that helped me unplug a little easier from my normal routine! Highly recommended, and we will hope to return in future years.

Oregon Coast Was All That We Expected

  • 5 of 5

What is Oregon without rain, wind, sun, sand, warm, cold and everything in between? We got it all during our stay.

The rental home was great. Nicely situated with a huge gathering place in the living room with the open kitchen right there. Made for great times.

The proximity to the beach made for a lot of trips to play in the ocean, bird watch and kick the soccer ball around. The panoramic views are second to none.

The only drawback to the stay was that the internet wifi was spotty and only worked for about half the time we were there. If you don't need it then don't worry about it. The management company responsible for the rental went above and beyond to try and get the wifi working and thy are commended for their professionalism.

I would rent again and again.

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time at the Spyglass House and we will definitely come again. My husband, our six kids and I loved everything about the house. It was well stocked and everything was of high quality. We loved the view of the ocean and the fact that it was only a block way added to how wonderful the experience was. This house was an excellent value for the money spent and the quality was better than I expected. We loved the space, the kitchen, the living area and the bedrooms were good sized. We can't wait to come again!

great memories!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our group. We had folks from 4 States. The large, clean kitchen and dining table allowed for meals together and the split level bedrooms gave everyone their own space. It is a fairly easy walk to the beach and easy drive to town. We had dogs and a child. The game cabinet came in handy and so did the garden hose outside for cleaning feet and paws! There is plenty of parking and even a 2 car garage. I would stay here again in a minute! Lots of extras! Too many to mention. Fireplace was nice as we had rainy chilly damp days for part of our stay. Thanks!

Great View!

  • 5 of 5

Spyglass has a great view of the ocean, beach and Haystack Rock. This home was well stocked and has comfortable furnishings. Management is easy to contact. At the time of our stay there were minus tides which allowed us to do more beachcombing then normal. This was a visit to the coast with my in-laws that live inland and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bandon. We were so happy to enjoy a few days there with them, a trip we had planned for quite some time and was not disappointed with this property. A plus was the weather was amazing, skies were clear, sunny and warm. Thanks for offering such nice accommodations.
