Just like going home - even the dogs wagged their tails when we arrived!
Loved returning to the farmhouse for a few days before visiting our family in Wales - we explored Hay on Wye this time which was absolutely fantastic and also visited The Castle Hotel in Llandovery which is dog friendly - so sad to leave but as Arnie says "we will be back!"
Thanks for the great review. if you can escape from work for a few days in the Spring the "host of golden daffodils" that fill the small meadow lining the entrance drive are a spectacular sight to see.
Wonderfully unique house in lovely, quiet location
My wife and I were looking for a quiet escape for our dogs during the fireworks and the Farmhouse was perfect. The house was unlike anything I've been in (grape vines growing in the kitchen!) with lots of great, relaxing spaces. The kitchen was full of cooking tools, but make sure to bring your own tea. Our dogs loved exploring the 100 acre property. Highly recommended.
Thank you for the recommendation. We hope to welcome you back again to stay at The Farmhouse.
Fabulous atmosphere in the Farmhouse
Lovely big farmhouse kitchen well stocked with everything you need!
Comfortable huge bed in the lovely bedroom and a beautiful bathroom- Highlights of our stay - we visited the butchers Prince Charles uses in Llandovery and cooked a wonderful meal using the best fillet steaks (they really were fit for a King) then relaxed in front of a roaring log fire - just perfect!
Visited a favourite place of ours - Crickhowell and dined at The Bear Hotel which is renowned for its fabulous food ( very dog friendly) and then browsed the individual characteristic shops - a perfect holiday break.
Definitely will book again!
We were pleased to hear that enjoyed our local towns and found The Farmhouse so warm and comfortable. Thanks for the great review - we look forward to making sure your next visit is also one to remember. Why not try a Spring visit, the swathes of daffodils that line the entrance drive are a truly spectacular sight to see.
An ideal place to escape to in Wales
We enjoyed our stay, the setting was very peaceful, we enjoyed walking the property and picking apples, blackberries and raspberries. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom luxurious. We felt very relaxed and felt very much at home in the Farmhouse. It was ideally situated for exploring the countryside and hiking.

Fab cottage in a great location
Cottage was lovely- lots of space and the shower was fab!
Great location- so much to do in the area. Some lovely walks too.
We were greeted on our first day by a lady who lives on the grounds who provided us with fresh eggs- we thought this was a lovely touch.
The bed was huge! It was great to have so much space available within the cottage (and the grounds).
We will be coming back a soon as we can!
