Despite a rainy long weekend, our stay was fantastic. The cottage was a delight with the fire already going on our arrival.
The cottage was absoloutley fantastic , the photos that have been taken are lovely of the wheatsheaf cottage but they simply don't do it justice , the cottage was well prepared and had everything we could possibly need and more , I would highly reccomend this to absoloutley anyone , I will be booking again for the hotter months so I can explore a bit more !:)
Beautiful cottage that was really well prepared - had everything we needed and more. Amazing views too! Didn't want to leave, will be returning (hopefully to better weather!) Definitely recommend this cottage!
Been to this cottage (Wheatsheaf) 3 times now. That says it all. We go in November to get away from fireworks for my dog and it is absolutely perfect. The cottage is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lovely comfortable beds, sofas and big baths and powerful showers.
The woodburner is another good feature and free wood as well!
The only slight negative is that you cant get BBC channels but hey! If you cant live without the TV for a week its a poor thing!
We all loved it, beautiful big rooms, lovely and warm, very well appointed, there was nothing left wanting. Just everything a family of three generations needed for a half term holiday. There was also a view to die for, I could have sat there and watched the view changing on a minute by minute and day by day basis. We just felt that this was a holiday home that was being rented out with plenty of thought given to it's visitors. To be quite honest this was the best holiday cottage we have visited over many years. I would recommend Wheatsheaf Cottage to everybody, except I would like to keep it to myself as a bolthole to escape to when ever I wanted to.
This property is wonderful! We spent half term there with our two children and dog. It was such a relaxing escape from the real world. The cottage is immaculate and the people are lovely. They leave you to enjoy your holiday, but are not far away should you need anything. The views are spectacular, especially with the beautiful Autumn colours which filled the landscape. There are many places to visit for all ages and within a reasonable distance. The weather wasn't brilliant during our stay but that really didn't matter. Just relaxing in front of the fire, playing board games with the children on a rainy afternoon was just as entertaining as a day out in the caves. I can't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely week away.xx
