Welcome to Cape Cod! Our charming and family friendly 4-bedroom cottage is the ideal summer retreat for families or small groups. The house sleeps 8 comfortably and offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing, entertaining, and cooking. The first floor includes a living/dining room with wood-burning fireplace, kitchen, family room, master bedroom, master bathroom, bunk-bed room (2 bunk beds), and a convenient laundry room. The second floor includes two bedrooms and a half-bath. Outside areas include a private back yard with a large brick patio and yard, great for BBQs and napping in the hammock. There is parking for 4 cars.

The house is located within a 5-minute walk to a private neighborhood beach, which you will have full access to use. The neighborhood is quiet and wooded, with stately oaks and maples, providing lovely shade from the summer sun. The house is a 10-minute walk to the village of Woods Hole, which offers two public beaches, a lighthouse, and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Woods Hole also has plenty of restaurants and shops, an aquarium, and two major marine biology and ocean science research institutions. A charming summer vacation spot!

In Woods Hole for a meeting

The house is clean, convenient and comfortable. A perfect place for a group of scientists to stay while attending a conference at the MBL.

Very nice house. Some complications with owner.

This is a very nice, well kept, and charming house. The kitchen is not adequate for serious cooking. The owners apparent preoccupation that everything be exactly right and requirement that the house be cleaned up in advance of departure (towels washed, beds stripped) before professional cleaner come in was off putting.

Fantastic Summer Getaway

We had a great stay and enjoyed being close to Woods Hole Village and the beach. The house is tidy and well equipped to handle a family (well setup kitchen, plenty of plates + utensils, linens etc.). This place is a great basecamp for summer adventures or to just hang out at.

Cozy House in the Perfect Spot

Our family of four spent a week here and absolutely loved it. The house is charming, with a rustic older half and a more modern 2-story addition. The older half has a lovely sitting room lined with bookshelves, and a kids room with plenty of fun games. The modern half has a large bathroom, TV room, and comfortable bedrooms. The whole place is great and nestled in a beautiful woodsy area of Cape Cod. We were able to walk to the center of Woods Hole (try Pie in the Sky - delicious!!), and getting to the beach was so easy. All the Falmouth beaches and Main Street are a quick drive away, too. Tania is an excellent host and was easy to reach (especially when a hurricane struck at the start of our trip!). We are so glad we stayed here.

Why they chose this property

This is a family summer retreat cottage, originally purchased in 1967 when our father was doing research at the Marine Biological Laboratories. The cottage has become a very special place for our family, where children & grandchildren come to enjoy a bit of summer. Woods Hole is a charming, lovely town - perfect for families!
