Sorry but this property is not suitable for children under 6. Best described as a typical 'chocolate box' picture of an English country cottage, this stunning 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, thatched Cotswold's cottage, accommodates 8 people. The original building dates back to the 1650’s and has been sensitively added on to over the years, creating all the benefits of a spacious contemporary home but with many original features. There are two twin bedrooms, one bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with a super king size bed. There are three spectacular bathrooms, two en suite, one family bathroom.

Our second stay at Fox End proved to be just as wonderful as our first two years ago. This time we brought two other couples with us and they were just as charmed. Most anything you could wish for was supplied in the large kitchen, and the comfortable beds and furniture, fine linens, spacious baths, were so welcomed. Marcus was a pleasure to deal with. Should our travels take us back to the Cotswolds, we know just where to stay!
Capturing the best of all worlds, One approaches Fox End to see the quintessential Cotswold House, thatched roof and all, set in beautiful grounds.
Inside, the house has beautiful period details and every contemporary convenience one could imagine
We were five adults, but the four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths could comfortably accommodate eight. And while I say adults, the house is well equipped with games and puzzles galore. While at home the BBC is a popular outlet, we never did turn n the television here, helping to reenforce our withdrawal from real world pressure. Short day trips here and there to the beautiful Cotswold towns provided just the right amount of entertainment. One evening we had dinner and then attended a play at the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford
Our hosts have prepared a very helpful guide about how the house works, and about pubs, restaurants and nearby sights
Fox End's neighbor, a short walk away is Chastleton House, a National Trust House with a fascinating history. Several hours in the house and well maintained gardens can be followed, on many days, with tea in the attached church.
One must have a car and be comfortable negotiating the narrow but well marked roads
The property from the outside is a charming rustic cottage in a tranquil country setting. On the inside the house has been tastefully and exceedingly well modernised with especially the kitchen and master bedrooms being of the highest standard.
The owners are very pleasant to work with and provide copious amounts of information.
I certainly have no hesitation in highly recommending this property.
If you have the opportunity to rent this Cottage, do so! You will not be even close to disappointed. The owners have completely modernized the interior, while keeping the charm and feel of a country cottage. The furnishings and elegant and reflect a refined and thoughtful design talent. You will find everything you need in the kitchen and throughout the home. There is an owners Guide that has a wonderful selection of things to do/ local restaurants/stores etc. that we found immensely helpful. The Cottage is a perfect and peaceful base from which to explore everything in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. It is a rare gem and was the highlight of our trip in England.

For the 7th time returning with our family to our most favorite hideaway in the cotswolds. Every time a joy to be there again in the stylish super comfortable place that feels like home. Fully equipped kitchen, well maintained gardens, soft and high quality linens and big and soft beds. Direct and personal service from the owner. Very quiet place with just cow and sheep as your neighbors. We will definitely be back again!
We absolutely loved our stay at Fox End. It was very well equipped, beautifully decorated, lovely bathrooms and kitchen, and well maintained throughout. Pretty garden. Fabulous location, close to many gorgeous Cotswold villages. Highly recommended. We could not have chosen a better place to stay with our family.
