Finely refurbished quality villa in Cannes - sleeps 10, close to facilities

Villa Ad Alta is single floor high quality, fully air conditioned Villa with large 180m2 communal pool located within a prestigious Cannes Domain renowned for its unsurpassed vintage character. The Villa was recently completely renovated inside and out, with creative passion, attention to detail and style.

Accommodation comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 3 doubles, 2 twins and 1 cot. In addition, a sofa bed is provided giving good flexibility for large groups. There is a large Conservatory housing the indoor air conditioned dining area for 10 persons.

Villa Ad Alta has beautifully landscaped (NOT OVERLOOKED) 900m2 private gardens, with extensive terraces fronted by stone walls, ancient Olive Trees, Fountain, Statues and a covered summer kitchen, with Gas fired Hot plate, sink and tiled work surfaces; perfect for BBQ’s and outside cooking. There is a long-gated driveway giving ample parking for up to 4+ cars. We provide 8 sun loungers with cushions in the front garden area. Outdoors games are another feature with a Table Tennis Table and a Boules Court in the rear garden.

The communal pool within the Domain is large and deep and there is a shallow paddling area for children and infants

The Villa is well suited for Cannes Congress stays or business guests, with Fiber based 300Mbps broadband and WIFi throughout the Villa. Two Desk spaces with wired Internet access are provided.

Villa Ad Alta is located in Cannes West, close to major road links, allowing easy access to all the “MUST DO” Cote d’Azur leisure activities and tourist attractions. Cannes Center is 10 minutes’ drive or a short bus ride away, this enables you to be immersed in Cannes Chic culture, in the midst of fantastic sights and sounds one moment and then choose to be remote from the hub-bub the next.

Head into Cannes and leave the car, the No2 BUS and the PALM Night service will get to back to the Villa at up to 3am!

Why pay extortionate rates to stay in Cannes Center ? Our rates are generally at-least 50% less than that those charged for an apartment/villa with a similar sleeping capacity in Cannes Center.

Rates for Cannes Conferences/Festivals are only slightly higher than our normal rates and we offer extra days for free, to the nearest week. That's 7 or 14 nights for the same price !!!

Hi, we are Ian and Nicolina. This Villa was our family home when we lived on the Cote d'Azur for 10 years. Now we live in Oxford but still see Villa Ad Alta as the place where we most belong; We miss the Winters in Cannes the most; one day, we WILL return !!

Villa Ad Alta used to be our home before we moved back to live in UK. Its name means 'To the Summit'; something which is both a metaphor for the effort spent it's renovation as well as our approach to life. We primarily bought this Villa to be our home and not a holiday rental; but life took us back to the UK and we now visit the Villa just during our holidays.

You are renting a home that we have painstaking crafted to suit our own high standards. It has plenty of character; ideal for those you want a high quality and yet still affordable holiday environment and a great Cannes location, that's NOT miles off the beaten track.

We spent a quite perfect holiday at Villa ad Alta. The property is located in a really good position for going to the beach ( just few minutes by car, in June no problems at all for parking ) or to have a walk on the famous Cannes Croisette. It is very comfortable, and suitable for kids too : the swimming pool is very big and often completely at your disposal, the domain very quite and we saw no dangers at all. Recommended for a really relaxing holiday .

Bedroom #5 is Kingsize Double located within a detached 20m2 air conditioned Chalet within the Villa's grounds and which also is luxuriously equipped with a full ensuite bathroom Bedroom #4 is a Kingsize Futon located at the Mezzanine level. N.B. Access to the Mezzanine is via a steep staircase which is NOT recommended for use by children under eight years old or the elderly. We also provide a Sofabed in the lounge area which can be used depending on a Parties bedroom requirements. For guests that prefer not to use the Mezzanine this Sofa Bed is another option. The Property has a large Conservatory housing the indoor air conditioned dining area for 10 persons. We also have a Boules court (Petanque Court) in the properties grounds (Boules provided). VAA's Audio Visual system includes a 50inch (128cm) plasma TV screen, HOME CINEMA surround sound system, BlueRay Player and HD satellite TV reception in English, French and Italian. Two additional 22 Satellite connected LCD TVs are also provided, one in the Mezzanine and one in the Chalet. The Villa's facilities have been optimized for teleworking; the villa having super fast 200 Mbps Fiber based broadband Internet access throughout..

Our family of 5 adults and 2 children spent 3 weeks at this villa in August 2016.

While the villa is 15 minutes by car from the centre of Cannes or the beaches we enjoyed our stay here very much.

The villa is located north - west of Cannes in La Bocca however this being our 6th time in Cannes we were not unaware of it and did not mind at all.

It is located in a " gated community " and once in the community we greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The community pool is quite nice however it does not offer any amenities such as chairs or umbrellas.

The villa itself is large comprising of 3 + 1 bedrooms in the main house as well as one full bathroom/shower/toilet/sink combination and 2 other shower/sink combinations in other bedrooms. The entire villa is air conditioned and the kitchen proved to be very easy to use with modern appliances. The chalet in the backyard is quite rustic and offer a full bedroom as well as a shower/toilet /sink bathroom. While it is closer to the road and a little noisy it also provided privacy from the rest of the house.

All in all this villa is very large comfortable and offers good value for the money.

We must also mention Antonio the caretaker of this villa. He was there within 30 minutes to take care of any issues that arose and he was a real pleasure to deal with.

Enjoyable visit

The villa was very comfortable for 9 people and had everything you would need. The community was beautiful and clean. Pool was ok. We wished it had some chairs or grassy area where you could sit comfortably. The public transportation was conveniently located. My only concerns with villa was upstairs bedroom is not very comfortable both in terms of staircase and bed. There is no way a young child or older adult can mange those stairs especially during the night. It is a thin mattress on a wood frame. Also in the morning it took about 25 minutes to make a pot of coffee. With the cost of the weekly stay I would have expected better appliances.... Especially coffee pot.

Owner's Response: Karen, we're pleased you had a pleasant stay. As regards no provision of sun loungers in the communal Pool area. The decision by Domain's management team not provide them is a common one with shared pool facilities in France. I'm afraid sun loungers are very high wear and tear items that need constant maintenance and replacement; hence the reason for not providing them in the Communal Pool area. We do provide them within VAA's private grounds however. The Mezzanine bedroom we state is unsuitable for the elderly or children in our listing details, so hopefully all prospective renters should be aware of this in advance. The Mezzanine has Futon style size bed, which does have a somewhat firm mattress type, which whilst excellent for your back (and used by millions of Japanese), is not so good for those that like soft mattresses. The Coffee machine is yet another high wear and tear item. We always provide a Cafeteria and Filter Coffee Machine and we keep spares of these at the Villa; so if you had communicated your coffee machine problems to our property manager, he would have immediately been able to supply a replacement. We endeavour to provide highly price competitive quality Cannes Villa accommodation. Sleeping Capacity, Location, Quality, Price are the key factors in rental Villa selection and based on these we always aim to provide outstanding value.

Villa très spacieuse

Nous étions 9 adultes et la villa nous a tout à fait convenu : cuisine bien équipée, salon living de bonne taille, chambres avec douche, véranda bien commode pour les repas. Nous n'avons malheureusement pu essayer la cuisine extérieure mais cela aurait pu être une expérience bien agréable. Au niveau sonore, la proximité de la route est un inconvénient. À recommander pour les grandes familles

Beautiful villa in a great location

Very impressed with the villa. Beautiful, clean obviously a loved family home! Loved the washing machine it took the stress away from knowing that I didn't have lots to do on our return home. Summer kitchen and bbq was used nearly every night and we have toyed with the idea of building one at home (with a roof to cope with the good old British summer..). Beds were really comfy. Didn't use the upstairs mezzanine bedroom but it was spacious (although the stairs were tricky to negotiate.. Didn't let my boys up there for fear of them falling)

The pool on the complex is lovely and clean without needing harsh chlorine like pools here. We had the pool to ourselves most days and our oldest son starting swimming so a fantastic memory to cherish! Supermarket nearby is ideally located for everything and the beach isn't far either. Cannes is very nice!!

Overall we had a great stay and loved every minute and would definitely return

It might be worth installing a guest book near to the guest manual as it would be great to get feedback when you go home plus it gives others a chance to be nosy and see who's stopped and what they have written

Beautiful, clean and charming house.

We arrived to a clean and beautiful house. We were 7 people ( 2 adults and our 5 tenage) from Denmark. A lovly garden with beautiful flowers and space to all of us. A pool with clean water. We have it almost for ourselves. The neighbors were sweet and friendly. A large shoppingcenter 5 min ( car) with all you wish, baker, butcher,fresh fish etc. We recommends to rent a car, go to Nice and Monaco in the evening. We have nothing to complain about, except the A/C, which was timed and could not be switched to the night.

Owner's Response: We're so glad your enjoyed your stay and thanks for the feedback. Our property manager resolved the A/C issue. Apparently it's related to the settings. We'll make a point of running through A/C usage instructions during the Guest Welcome and in writing in our Guest manual.

Ski: The best local ski resorts can be reached within 90 minutes’ drive; Resorts such as Isola2000 (over 250km of piste , 75% snow canon coverage and lift capacity over 20,000 pph), Auron and Valberg. During April you can sunbathe at the beach and go skiing within the same week or even the same day !!

In case of additional persons or children/infants are consented to increase total party size >10 additional fees may apply.
Strictly no events. We classify an event as whenever more people that listed on the booking visit the property.

Cannes Congress or Festival stays - For these stays we always impose a minimum rental rate for the Entire Event irrespective of how many nights are required. Contact us for confirmation of the rates applicable for Cannes events.

€500 Security Deposit will be automatically refunded 7 days after departure
We do not host parties looking for long term rentals of more than 30days. Accomodation is strictly for vacation or Cannes Congress/Festival attendance. We do not host tradesmen who are working in the area or nearby.
