Take a stroll down Route 66 or hop over to Flagstaff and Sedona to round out your Arizona adventure. And, for those who simply want a refreshing getaway from the big city, Wawona Lodge provides the comfort and ambiance for a perfect retreat. About Wawona Lodge

What a better way to beat the desert heat by staying at Wawona Lodge! We stumbled across this property several years ago while planning our Polar Express adventure. We enjoy the outdoors and find that vacationing in Williams allows us spend more time outside.

Wawona Lodge purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Wawona Lodge chose Grand Canyon

We enjoy the small city of Williams and it's quaint atmosphere. It accommodates all types of visitors; sightseers, shoppers, or those just needing a time to relax and refresh.

What makes this cabin unique

Wawona Lodge is in the heart of the Kaibab National Forest at 7,200 ft. The cabin was built on 7+ private acres without a neighboring property in sight. Although tucked away in the pines, guests are still within 5 minutes of downtown Williams for groceries, shopping, and local dining.

Snowfall averages at about 66'' per year and fresh air is always abundant.

Brisk morning walks on quiet cinder rock roads or a warm cup of coffee on the wrap-around deck are great ways to start the morning. You might even catch sight of elk and deer at daybreak or dusk. In the evening, the stars light up the northern Arizona sky. If you listen closely, you'll hear the elk call to each other in the summer and fall months.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to let you know firstly that your home is beautiful and perfect for our purpose. Our family has not all been together in 10 years and it was wonderful to have them all there with no distractions. Close to the Grand Canyon. It meant the world to me that we had a home like environment to visit in instead of your average hotel room, so that my children, son's in law, their father and my granddaughter could spend family time together. Thank you so very much.

Beautiful property and convenient location

  • 5 of 5

The property is in a gated community, so it is very private. The house is beautiful and easily accommodated our two families. The house is well stocked with everything you will need and there is a welcome book with a list of any information you will need about the house or the area. The house is an easy drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Sedona. Deer were often spotted as we had our morning coffee on the deck or when our children were on their daily jogs. Williams is a quaint little town, it has a variety of restaurants, breweries and nightly entertainment. There is a Safeway grocery store in town to stock up on anything you need. Any time we needed a question answered, the owners were quick to respond. The only suggestion I would have is to have a few more portable fans, there is one for one of the upstairs bedrooms, but we ended up buying one for the bunk bed room and the downstairs bedroom, because they did get a little stuffy a few nights. Our refund came within a few days of leaving. I would recommend this house to family and friends.

Fantastic house and location

  • 5 of 5

Our family or four absolutely enjoyed our vacation while staying at this house. What a great location. Close to the Grand Canyon and only minutes to the shops and restaurants on route 66. The house was VERY CLEAN and well appointed. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and our deposit was refunded immediately. I would stay here again and would recommend this rental to my friends. When you're here visit the Pine Country Restaurant, the banana creme pie is to die for!!

Beautiful cabin, beautiful property and beautiful scenery

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. We had 7 people with us and were more than accommodated. The deck was our favorite hangout where we could have some drinks, BBQ some meat and enjoy the views. The inside is beautiful as well. The pics don't do it any justice. The owners are wonderful to work with and do everything in their power to make sure your stay is a great one. We will be staying here again in December for the Polar Express. If you're looking for an awesome get away, this should be your choice.

Owner's Response: We couldn't have been happier to host such a wonderful family. We look forward to meeting and exceeding our guests expectations. From the cleanliness of our cabin to accommodating family gatherings, we want our guests to be able to enjoy their time together. We continue to search for ways to improve our guests experience as well. Recently, we added DirecTV in addition to SMART TV availability. We appreciate our guest's feedback and look forward to providing the perfect getaway.
