Self-catering accommodation, 4 bedrooms, 2 en-suite, 1 bathroom, pool, good view

The villa is about 12 years old and has Hall, Sitting Room with ample seating and TV, Dining Area, Open Plan Kitchen with gas cooker, washing machine , dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, etc. Completely equipped for up to eight residents.

4 Bedrooms, 2 with en suite shower rooms and double beds, 2 other bedrooms one with double bed and one with twin beds, plus Main bathroom with bath, handbasin, bidet and WC.

Outside there is a SWIMMING POOL (12 x 6 meters), a Barbecue and a paved area for sunbathing with sun loungers, umbrellas and garden table and chairs.

There is also a small but pleasant enclosed garden, which although immature is well maintained.

Local Facilities: An established resort with good views over a lake to the sea, about 3 kms from the beach of Monte Clérigo, but with other wonderful wild and relatively uncrowded beaches also close at hand. There are local shops, restaurants, bars, tennis courts and horse riding. The market town of Aljezur is about 5 kms and Lagos with its ancient town center, restaurants, bars and excellent nightlife is about 25 kms.

Lagos Excursion: LAGOS (25 kms) much of the town center is pedestrian-only, there is a myriad of attractive narrow streets opening into pleasant squares with many restaurants, bars, night-clubs. There is a wide range of shops, two regular daily markets and a Saturday market. This historic town has retained much of its old town wall system and there is a wealth of other buildings of interest including the ancient slave market, the hospital, which was formerly the residence of Henry the Navigator, and the fabulous golden church of Santo António. The town museum is well worth a visit and the Cultural Center offers a varied programme of exhibitions, plays, and musical events. Exhibitions of paintings and sculpture are often held in the slave market and in the Council Headquarters. Lagos has a wide waterfront promenade linking the old “Fortaleza”, at the harbour mouth, to the yacht marina. Boat trips to the famous Algarve caves and cliffs. Lagos also has its own superb beaches.

Other Excursions: The town of MONCHIQUE is with few exceptions happily untouched by the 20Th Century invasion of tourism. It lies in the saddle created by the two high hills, Foia and Picota, the former reaching to 902 meters above sea level. As “mountain” people the world over the 10,000 inhabitants of this town have retained the rustic atmosphere with steep cobbled streets and small dark doorways containing various artisan trades.

At CAPE ST VINCENT is an historic lighthouse and fortress that can be visited. The surrounding cliffs present a very impressive dramatic sight with their towering sheer height and at most times being beaten by the strength of the vast Atlantic Ocean.

SAGRES is located on the south side of the Cape. Its natural protection from the western winds and rough seas lent itself to the building by Prince Henry the Navigator (Don Afonso Henrique), of a fort in which to house his School devoted to Navigation and Exploration.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette villa superbe.

Les commodités sont vraiment prévues pour 8 (personne dans le canapé par exemple...).

La maison est très propre et fonctionnel. Le changement des draps/serviettes et nettoyage de la piscine sont faits tous les samedis par une équipe très sympathique et efficace.

La piscine est magnifique et gigantesque !!!

Nous étions avec 4 enfants de moins de 10 ans, attention du coup, il n'y a pas de système de sécurité installé sur/autour de la piscine.

Aucun vis à vis, la maison et la piscine font face à la vallée et à la mer au loin.

La situation est idéale, au calme, mais à moins de 15-20 minutes de 4 supers plages pour baigneurs et/ou surfeurs, à 15 minutes du centre d'Aljezur (avec le marché de la ville, le supermarché, la poste, les commerces). Quelques restaurants/bars sont à moins de 5 minutes.

Le contact avec les gérants de la villa s'est fait en anglais. Ils ont été réactifs, agréables et nous ont bien conseillés.

Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette location.

Villa dos Morenos is in an established resort with good views over a lake to the sea about 3 kms from the beach of Monte Clérigo, but with other wonderful wild and relatively uncrowded beaches also close at hand. The International Airport takes about 100 minutes by car with the new A22 motorway for most of the journey.

Notes:
Ground floor house, however for wheelchair access you have only part of the house (main bathroom, 1 double room and outside sitting area, where it is all the same level. To go to the sitting room there is a step down and to the dining/kitchen area a step up. Outside from the external eating out to the pool there are also steps. Inside the house to the two en suite main bedroom there are 2 steps down.
