Whether you sit on the deck and watch the waves roll in or drive into Grand Marais for shopping and sightseeing you will be pleased. The ski-hills, alpine slide and mountain biking are right across the road as are 2 restaurants. The historic Lutsen Resort is just a short walk next door. Each bedroom has its own bathroom so this condo is perfect for either two couples to share and it is also ideal for families. You are just two people that want to get away, no problem, the other bedroom & bathroom are Locked-Off. Leaving NO additional cost for 2 persons stay. The full kitchen, dining room and living room all look out over the lake as does the balcony.

Views view views! Amazing! It feels like you are at the ocean. Water as far as you can see. Nice property, big yard, trails that will bring you right to Lutsen resort. The price was right and location perfect. The one thing I wish we would have known is that the beach at the property is not usable, it is a very steep decline to the water. We had our 3 year old with us and there was no way I could get to the water with her. This was not a big deal but from the pictures it looks like you would be able to get to the water more easily and we had hoped to launch our kayaks from the property. The beach is more for looking at than using (at the property). Lutsen resort however is a short 10 minute walk and you can easily get to that beach, and so we did that multiple times per day to play in the sand and throw rocks. This is not a deal breaker by any means just something to be aware of if you have kids. Nice also to have a restaurant / bar within walking distance. The trails from the property to Lutsen resort were some of our favorite pastimes, really pretty and fun to see the big rocks and waves splashing. Clean and nicely maintained property. Very nice yard. Comfortable. Very nice setup with two beds and two baths and open plan. It was fun to cook in the kitchen and see the lake. I would recommend it.
Beautiful place, beautiful views. We stayed two nights for a girls weekend getaway. This location was perfect. We also ran a race that was just across the road. After the race we were able to walk down to the lake at the rental to recovery in the cool water. Sandi was great to work with. We saw a rainbow our last night too. Perfect ending to a great getaway. Definitely would stay there again!
We loved this area by Lake Superior. Bike paths, the Lake Superior hiking trails, the Lutsen Ski resort, and state park after state park! This condo was in the perfect location for getting to all our daily adventures but also was a delight when relaxing on the property. The views of the Lake are just amazing and we spent time in the private cove searching for agates and playing in the water. In the evening we used our telescope to view the nighttime sky minus the big city lights that ruin our views back at home. Our host was invaluable when it came to the best places to eat and locations not to miss and some fun historical info too. We are considering coming back in the winter to enjoy sking at the Lutsen resort just minutes from this property.
We spent two wonderful weeks at Hidden Cove. The views of the lake are fantastic. The condo is very clean and comfortable and we were able to do several meals in the well-equipped kitchen.
There is a path to a hidden cove on the lake. The way down to the actual beach is not easy but certainly worth the effort. We enjoyed sitting on the rocks overlooking the lake and just taking in the views.
The property is very peaceful and there is a walking path which takes you to the Lutsen Resort along the lake. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area and Grand Marais is only 20 minutes away.
Sandi Furlow is a wonderful hostess and we enjoyed meeting her and hearing more about the history of the area. She is also a wealth of knowledge regarding shopping, hiking and other activities.
If you are planning a trip to the north shore Hidden Cove would be a wonderful place to stay.
This was my family's second visit to Hidden Cove, and we loved it just as much this time. The property is so beautiful, with amazing views. And there are so many things to do in the area. (Many state parks, the gondola at Lusten, shops at Grand Marais, etc.) Sandi is very kind and helpful and knows a lot about the area and its history. The condo itself is very clean and well taken-care of, with all the supplies you need. Truly a treasure!
