Keywords: Cozy French Quarter Guesthouse on Bourbon Street in the heart of New Orleans
Small family run business. We have just three VRBO apartments and love providing a great space for people to enjoy New Orleans in a relaxed, homely way.
Tanya/William Abboud purchased this apartment in 2010
Being able to open the front door of these quaint studios and be right there on Bourbon Street is very unique.
Great experience from start to finish. Tanya was super communicative with me regarding dates and rates. Super accommodating in allowing us to book for our sons as a surprise trip. The boys referred to the space as the ideal location just steps away from the action in the French Quarter and an easy stroll to Frenchman Street. They thought the accommodations for the 2 of them was the perfect size and they felt safe and comfortable there. Would definitely book again for our next New Orleans stay.
This is the perfect place for a couple to spend a weekend, extended or otherwise! The location is fantastic, the apartment is spotless, and the owners were excellent and very accommodating to our schedule.
Located on the quiet end of Bourbon, there is access to plenty of things to do within walking distance. Port of Call, Frenchmen Street, the French Market, Decatur Street, and the trolley line are all a few minutes walking distance.
There is a corner market at the end of the block for anything you may need for your stay as well.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!
Myself and a friend stayed here for four days, and it was great. I wouldn't recommend anymore then 2/3 people, the rental is small but perfect for a couple or two friends. Located just far enough from the craziness that is Bourbon St, but yes close enough to partake in the craziness. Blocks from the French Market and Frenchman St. Two 24 deli marts within a block make for easy late night eating.
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Stayed here 3 times in the past 2 years & every time the trip gets better! Great location on the quieter side of the Quarter. But you're still on Bourbon Street, so people watching is fun! So close to everything yet far enough away to get a good night's sleep. Room feels much bigger than it's square footage due to the high ceilings. Loft bed & claw foot tub might be a problem for inactive seniors, but the futon on the floor isn't too bad on the back. EXCELLENT & CLEAN laundry facilities on the opposite corner make it possible to pack VERY lightly. I still suggest if you have several devices to charge, you might want to bring an extension cord. Theses are old buildings and some outlets might be hard to reach. I want to address some of the comments about bugs. Keep in mind that this is New Orleans, a below sea level city with very hot & humid conditions in the summer months. You might run into something here & there if visiting during those months. THEY ARE NOT BEDBUGS! THEY ARE NOT BITING BUGS! THEY WILL NOT MAKE YOU SICK! They are a part of warm Southern sub-tropical living. Don't leave food uncovered and sitting out & you most likely will not see any. There is a coffee pot, microwave, toaster & decent sized refrigerator, so eating out for every meal doesn't have to happen. Rouses market on Royal has a surprisingly great selection considering it's size. But with the money you save from not staying in a hotel you can splurge on a daily feast. I recommend Port of Call for the best burger around if you're craving something "home like" and Mona Lisa Italian Restaurant for the Bruschetta & Spinach lasagna. Both places are less than 4 small blocks away & VERY easy on the pocket-book! Coop's Place on Decatur has EXCELLENT local fare! There are also 2 places open 24 hours for awesome homemade eats. Quarter Master is on the corner & Verti Mart is around the corner. Both have delivery & menus are in the room. One block over & 2 blocks up is Cafe Envie (corner of Decatur & Barracks). This place has the BEST coffee and pastry/cookies! Breakfast in a go cup is an essential start to any long day & also kind to the wallet. Don't let the look of these suggestions fool you! Some of the best chefs are here! New Orleans is truly the best example of getting 5 star cuisine without the white tablecloth price! Remember that you can live anywhere in the World, but New Orleans is the ONLY city that lives in YOU! ENJOY YOUR STAY : )
Nice studio apartment! An amazing deal for staying right on Bourbon Street! With in walking distance to everything! Beds were comfortable and it was very convenient to have a little kitchenette!
The studio is located in the heart of the French Quarter in the residential end of Bourbon Street. Within walking distance there is an abundance of live music, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, live theater, riverboat tours, history tours, cemetery tours, swamp tours, plantation tours, museums (World War II museum, The Childrens Museum - to name just two), free festivals at several times of the year and lots more.
