Great in-town property
This property is accurately described. This was our second stay in Cody, and first time at this property. This time we did not have a rental car, (family in town) it was very easy to walk to anything we needed in town, we were able to walk to any restaurant we chose, except Cassie's (which is a must when in town). Ample room for two, four people would have worked too. Nicely updated and had anything we needed. Josh was easy to communicate with, we ended up arriving a day early and the home was not rented so we were able to check in early, he was also able to accommodate us staying an extra hour for check-out as our flight was later in the day. It is a slow time of year in Cody, so such accommodations might not be available at the busier times. For us, quiet Cody is the best time, not everything is still open but what is open is adequate. We ended up at this home for 9 nights and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Some reviews had nitpicky stuff, just ignore those- this is one of the better rentals in Cody! We will definitely inquire about this property for our next stay!!! Thanks Josh! Off the beaten path restaurants that are within a block or two- The Local, Juniper, and Trailhead- all new to us on this trip and were fabulous! Make sure not to miss the Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museum!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Cody. The accommodations were exactly as described. The 2 bedroom / 1 bath was completely renovated. The house was clean and stocked well in the kitchen and bath. The home owner was always accessible and easy to work with, although we needed very little. The town of Cody was wonderful, a small town America with a very safe homey atmosphere. We could walk to the small downtown area for coffee or to eat, to the concert in the outdoor area in the park every Thursday evening (the owner had folding chairs available) or in the quaint neighborhood for exercise. It was a couple of blocks to the high school which appeared to have excellent facilities for sports. There were deer and rabbits in the yard and neighborhood almost every day. It was an easy drive to many tourist areas, like Yellowstone, Tetons, Beartooth Highway but yet far enough away to escape the crowds. We saw an abundance of wildlife, like bears, bison, antelopes, eagles, moose, etc. The scenery was spectacular. What a wonderful area to visit and place to stay. Highly recommended.
We had a nice stay and would definitely stay again.
The home is in a great location. We walked to eat out in downtown Cody several times. It is nicely updated and we found the owner to be very responsive to all of our needs. We would definitely stay here again. We especially appreciated that he took pets as we have a 160 pound Newfoundland that was welcome. We also saw deer daily which was a bonus!
Another great visit and stay in Cody
This was yet another great visit for us to Cody and our second stay in this great little house. Spotlessly clean, nice linens and towels, full size washer and dryer, very recently fully renovated, perfect location. Best of all, we were able to stay here with our pets- a huge bonus! Josh is so easy to interact with, very welcoming. We would stay here again on our next trip thru Cody and would recommend it to anyone. Some nice restaurants we like: Juniper (great small plates, interesting selection of wine, beer and cocktails) IL Padrino (nice Italian food), Local (great food, nice wines as well. Reservations are a must), Zapata’s (good Mexican. Not pricy).
The property was great. The house was redone looked nice!
We had a great time staying and Josh was very helpful if we needed opinions for restaurants, etc. The only downfall was the toaster was broken and it made it difficult to make breakfast some days. Other than that, great property!!
A wonderful house in a wonderful place
We arrived at the appointed hour and found our house ready and the yard freshly mowed. Our dogs immediately fell in love with the fenced yard as we relaxed on the deck enjoying the afternoon sunshine. I really appreciated having garage space to unload and sort our camping gear and prepare for our adventures. We found the kitchen to be well stocked, comfortable furniture, comfortable beds, nice washer/dryer, spacious walk-in shower, good television and wifi speed. In short, everything was nice.
Located in beautiful downtown Cody, our guest house is a short two block walk to Historic Downtown, with multiple shops and restaurants just outside your door. You will have easy access to the Cody Trolley Tours, Cody Nite Rodeo shuttle, and the Cody Gunfighters nightly show at Buffalo Bill's historic Irma Hotel; and all without the hassle of trying to find a place to park.
Only a three block walk away is the spectacular Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museums. Make the most of your 2 day pass without feeling pressured to see it all at once.
And then there is Yellowstone National Park! Just a short but beautifully scenic 1 hour drive through the Wapiti Valley and the Shoshone National Forrest is the East Entrance to Yellowstone. Feel free to explore all that Yellowstone has to offer and then return to all the comforts of "home".
Just a few of the other attractions in the area include river rafting, fly fishing, Kirwin Ghost Town Tour, Red Canyon Wild Mustang Tour, and the spectacular Beartooth Scenic Byway and the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway.
