About Phay MacDowel
Mousehole Cottage was built by husband and wife team - Stylish Cornish Cottages. The cottage was built in 2008 and is finished to a high standard and comfortably appointed throughout. Stylish Cornish Cottages lovingly manage a small number of properties in West Cornwall, we own Mousehole Cottage so know the property inside out if you have any questions. We live in the area so can give you lots of locals advice and book any trips or experiences you might wish to participate in whilst on holiday in this wonderful part of Cornwall. Nothing is ever too much trouble when it comes to your holiday!
Why Phay MacDowel chose Mousehole
Built to a high standard it benefits from wonderful sea views, private parking which is rare in Mousehole and a lovely private garden. The cottage is located on the edge of the historic harbour, a stones throw from the harbour itself with its winding narrow lanes, net lofts, galleries and cafes. The location is beneficial as driving into Mousehole can be tricky in the summer, you have the benefit of parking at the cottage pottering around the village, but if you wish to explore further afield you can get out of Mousehole quickly and easily in your car. A car is not essential, Penzance mainline station is 3 miles away and buses run regularly from Penzance to Mousehole.

Wonderful cottage with sea views
We had a wonderful week away in this very well appointed and perfectly located cottage. We loved being able to be in the centre of Mousehole with under 1 minutes walk using the pathway from the house. Very comfortable beds, great powerful shower and brilliantly equipped kitchen. Thank you!
Beautiful place with lovely welcoming gifts which makes it a very personal touch.
We had a great week in Mousehole Cottage. The cottage has everything you need for a warm, comfortable holiday including the finer details of a warm welcome and breakfast provisions.
The location is wonderful with sea views on waking in the master bedroom and living areas. The off street car parking is a bonus as is an easy walk around the quaint, seaside village. The Ship Inn is an easy stroll for dinner serving fabulous food.
Thank you Phay and Jon for our wonderful stay.

Mousehole Cottage is well situated, extremely comfortable and well equipped with wonderful views.
Mousehole Cottage was absolutely beautiful and so near the sea I felt I could almost touch it; the views too were marvellous especially in the ever changing weather! The cottage had good parking, was well situated in Mousehole and extremely comfortable, well-equipped and warm. The Christmas touches were much appreciated; tasteful tree/decorations, welcome mince pies and bubbly too.
Coast path minutes away and lots of interesting places to visit - St. Ives, Sennen Cove, Levant Mines, Marazion and St. Michael's Mount, Trebah Gardens; also beautiful beaches and lots of coves.
Thoroughly enjoyed the famous Mousehole Christmas lights. They were spread across the harbour, along the cliffs and even on the rocks in the sea. Many cottage windows were also illuminated with quirky Christmas scenes and the little shops/cafes stayed open until later in the evening. Such a lovely atmosphere.
We were very reluctant to leave Mousehole Cottage but hope to return again one day.
Exactly as described. Beautiful views, comfortable and well equipped.
From the gardens at the cottage and the hotel and bar next door we watched seals in the sea, the stars and dreamy sunsets. The cottage, which is set away from the busy area of Mousehole, made a great base for exploring the beach, harbour, pubs, cafes and coastal path just a couple of minutes away. After a long day on the beach or walking, the cottage is also a great place to chill, chat and plan the next day. St Ives and the Tate, Penzance and its Art Deco Jubilee lido as well as it's fantastic fish and chips and hundreds of other wonders are all within a short drive. There's a regular bus service, stopping right next to the house, but a car is definitely an advantage, as is having your own parking space outside the front door. The beds were comfortable for the five people, all adults, in our party, although the bunk was a slight squeeze for our 22-year-old son. Overall, the perfect place for your holiday or for any other stay!
