Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cottage in Mousehole

Beautiful Cornish cottage only 60m from the harbour, Private Parking and WiFi

Mousehole Cottage is a beautiful Cornish cottage, with fantastic, panoramic sea views and private parking. Completed in 2008 the property is located just off the main Parade and only 60 metres from the harbour. Well appointed and beautifully furnished this cottage offers a high standard of accommodation for 6 people in this sought after location. The cottage is surrounded by a compact, private and well-maintained garden with large garden table and chairs with sea views.

Mousehole, described by Dylan Thomas as “the loveliest village in England” is a traditional, picture postcard Cornish harbour with small sandy beach ideal for little ones at the far end. Mousehole is made up of winding streets, alleyways, old net lofts, art galleries, gift shops and several very good pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are many sandy beaches nearby, Porthcurno and Sennen to name but a few. The larger historic town of Penzance is 3 miles away with a wider range of shops, supermarkets, leisure centre, outdoor lido, pubs and critically acclaimed restaurants. The Scillonian ferry runs from Penzance to the stunning Scilly Isles.

Accommodation

Ground Floor: Entrance door into a hall with large cupboard and hooks for coats. Through to a well furnished sitting room and dining area with beautiful sea views from the double aspect windows, two large comfortable sofas, wood burner, digital flatscreen TV with freeview channels and DVD player. At the back of the living room is the dining area with table and chairs for 6 people. At the rear of the cottage is the well appointed kitchen with built-in double oven with halogen hob and extractor hood, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, plenty of shaker style cupboards and granite worktops. There is a small WC and basin off the kitchen.

First Floor - The master bedroom with double white wrought iron bed has some of the best views in the cottage, dual aspect across the bay to St Michael's Mount and St Clements Isle, with built in cupboard, chest of drawers and bedside units. The twin bedroom, also dual aspect has two single beds and built in cupboard with shelves and hanging space. The third bedroom is a bunk room with 3ft white bunk beds and small chest of drawers. Family bathroom with bath, mira shower over, basin, WC and towel rail and further sea views!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Porthcurno was brilliant, there was a nice cove and an interesting museum and a great theatre. We had lots of fun with our dinghy on local rocky beaches. Flambards was surprisingly good for the children. We had a lovely week, really enjoyed being in Mousehole, had a great meal at the Old Coastguard Hotel. Thank you

A delightful cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We found the cottage to be of very high standard, clean, comfortable, a home from home experience. In a great location with excellent views of the sea. It was great to be able to stroll down to the harbour, knowing we were just a short distance away from the cottage. Our baby daughter settled in well and there was plenty of room for her and all the items one takes when holidaying with a child. We loved the special touches which included a delightful hamper and flowers. We took advantage of the delicious cooked meals prepared by Phay which truly took the stress out of having to cook when we arrived. We would highly reccommend this cottage.

Delightful Cottage in a Prime Location

  • 5 of 5

Mousehole Cottage is in a beautiful spot with lovely sea views. The booking process and following interactions with Phay were really straight forward and nothing is too much trouble. The Welcome Hamper on arrival was a really lovely surprise with even a treat for our Cavapoo! The cottage is so bright and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. It is such a bonus to have an allocated parking space - a real premium in Mousehole! It is perfectly situated along a small pathway resulting in very little pedestrian passers by - so very private and very peaceful. Would highly recommend a meal in the Old Coastguard (situated next door) and we enjoyed a very nice Sunday Lunch at The Kings Arms in Paul. The Red Lion in Newlyn and The Turks Head in Penzance also offer some delicious fresh fish dishes on their "specials board." For dog owners - it is well worth visiting Long Rock Beach as this is a dog friendly beach all year and the Mexico Inn at Long Rock serves some amazing food. We would highly recommend a stay at Mousehole Cottage it just has everything to offer for a perfect Mousehole stay. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Phay.

Great cottage perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this cottage, there was a lovely welcome basket when we arrived. The cottage really is a home from home, clean well equipped, sea views from nearly all the windows, parking spot real bonus and only few minutes walk to the harbour and great pub and cafe even closer. Phay arranged for local stable to contact me about horse riding on the beach was a dream come true, fantastic holiday we will definitely return.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely well equipped dog loving cottage, great location with the bonus of private parking which is great in Mousehole. The welcome pack was a nice touch and extremely useful when you end up arriving at 10pm! Even a treat provided for our Cockapoo! Phay and Jonathan were very helpful and we therefore would definitely recommend this property.

A family favourite

  • 5 of 5

We've recently returned from our fourth (we think) visit to Mousehole Cottage. Perfect location, handy for everything the village has to offer - coast path, beach, harbour, several eateries plus the lovely Ship Inn. Mousehole Cottage is a welcoming, warm, clean and comfortable base - it suits us and our boys down to the ground, and I know we'll be back! The parking space is also extremely handy.

Delightful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Well equipped, well decorated, clean, light and great situation. An oasis in a busy tourist honey pot. Great access to Mousehole of course but also convenient for town (Newlyn & Penzance) and country Coast Path.
