15% OFF Winter Rental- Modern Cabin

Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

The perfect Jackson Hole Retreat!

Enjoy the charm of a cabin with wood beams and a loft, but perfectly finished with modern appliances and clean spaces.

This recently remodeled cabin in the woods is 2 bedroom plus a loft and 2 bathroom. The loft is located off the kitchen and each bedroom has a Queen bed, even in the loft. There are stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, in-floor heating in the bathrooms and unique wood stove. There are three TVs in the cabin with a dvd player and karaoke machine in one room, but there is no cable. The cabin has wifi, washer and dryer and the refrigerator and freezer are small, but efficient. Enjoy soaking in the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom after a day of playing in the mountains.

This cabin in the woods would be the perfect retreat for someone who would like to be close to town, but still secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. As you enjoy the views of the mountains, a moose could be strolling around the neighborhood.

The quaint town of Wilson is less than 2 miles away. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park and the town of Jackson are about 15 minutes away. This property will require a four wheel drive car in the winter.

Enjoy the convenience of town and seclusion of the woods with this wonderful property.

No pets are allowed, but if you have animal allergies please let us know because the owner may have had their own pet in the property.

The cabin is amazing. Wish I could live in it full time! It was thoroughly furnished and kept up well. Our group had a great time.

This was the perfect cabin. I absolutely LOVED it. The newly renovated design was SO cute. It was secluded and roomy and much more than we were expecting. I loved it, thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Fabulous Cabin in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with another couple stayed in the cabin for 7 nights. The listing pictures shown were pretty accurate. The only surprise is when we drove up to the cabin we almost certainly thought it was the wrong cabin. The negative...compared to the other properties in the area the front of the cabin looked unkempt. There is no yard per se and there are a number of sheds with storage. There are very high weeds surrounded by a metal type of chicken wire fence which is quite unsightly. The biggest recommendation is to clean this up which is probably why there is no listing picture. Meanwhile, after going inside the cabin we were very happy. It was spacious and we loved sitting on the back deck overlooking the far off mountains. There are a number of windows so you have a number of wonderful views. We were there in early September 2013 so the weather was in the upper 60s and lower 40s at night. The cabin is secluded and includes a loft. However, the spiral stairway to the loft is very tight and more suitable for kids or the young adult. Be careful not to hit your head on the stairway as we did a couple of times. Someone had already put some padding/tape on one of the corners as this look like a common problem. There were some minor maintenance issues (e.g. the refrigerator not cooling properly, ice machine doesn't work as no water line was hooked up) we reported to the property managers. The property managers Stephanie and Leigh were very helpful and responsive. There was a second dorm size refrigerator which was helpful since the other refrigerator is not full size. It was also helpful to have a wash machine and dryer in the main bathroom. We would definitely return to this property in the future. We enjoyed it very much. A couple of things we would recommend. 1) Albertson's grocery store is in Jackson and a great place for getting buffalo or elk products. 2) Go to Wilson-Moose road and drive the 10 miles to the entrance of the Grand Tetons...fabulous place to photograph wildlife. While there in September, we saw moose and black bears. 3) Mangy Moose restaurant in the Teton Village was good. Restaurants in Jackson are fairly expensive. 4) Nora's Fish restaurant at the foot of the hill when you drive down from the log cabin (next to Exxon) offers a very nice breakfast and lunch. A lot of character and seems to attract the locals. 5) Bar J Chuck Wagon experience nearby was a great treat...the show more than the food. We had a fabulous time. Thanks

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and we are glad you had a great time in Jackson Hole! We will discuss the small issues with the owners and they like to keep the natural feel of the surrounds and let the grass be natural. There are so many moose and deer in the area- great for wildlife watching-that there is wiring around the trees. We hope you come back and visit again soon!

Private and secluded cabin- very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. It is about a mile up a hill right outside Wilson and only takes about 5 minutes to get to Wilson. Very secluded and very quiet. We enjoyed staying here very much. There is no TV but after a week, I got used to it. We had rabbits, deer and a moose in the yard which was nice. Wilson is a nice central location to Teton Village and Jackson.

A Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin in the Woods is wonderful. My three daughters, my wife and I all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Cabin. The Cabin provided a very relaxing and quiet retreat at the end of the day. The property is well maintained, clean and accommodating. It is close to Jackson and Teton Village. The nearby activities included floating and white water rafting on the Snake River, the tram ride and bike park at Teton Village, shopping in Jackson, hiking and sightseeing in Teton and Yellowstone parks, and the great restaurants in Jackson (the Local, Cafe Genevieve, Snake River Brewing, and The Bird).

The only thing that took getting use to was there is no full refrigerator (there are two small refrigerators)

Well-decorated, cabin in great location!

  • 4 of 5

Overall our family of four enjoyed this cabin and would definitely consider staying here again. It was a fairly new rental property, so they were still working out some small kinks...for example, the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen could have been streamlined/de-cluttered for rental purposes. Additionally, there was no TV service (did have DVD player though), only a mini-fridge (not full-sized) and no automatic coffeemaker...not deal-breakers by any means but just things to be aware of before you go. The pluses, however, made this a recommended stay for us: awesome location that was private yet close to Teton Village and Jackson, contemporary yet comfortable decor, great deck area in the back and reasonable pricing. Great for a family of four or more. Enjoy!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! This is indeed a great place for a family vacation and a solitary couples retreat. As advertised in the property description there is a small fridge and no television. We will be putting an automatic coffeemaker in the property...we have found in the past that people enjoyed the press, but obviously it is not for everyone. Thanks so much for spending time in this property...it is a really special place!
