Guestbook comments from the owner

We spent 4 nights in this very pleasant appartment in the Marais. Of course the neighbourhood is fantastic with all the beautiful ‘hôtels’and the Place des Vosges etc. Also, there are so many shops just around the corner, both clothes and lovely food. Our son (17) went out in the evening to one of the many cafés just nearby. And his parents did not worry.

The appartment itself was very nice. The owners live there themselves, and that makes the place full of life. Also, we did not have to go out to buy all the necessary tea, coffee, toilet paper, salt. Eveything is there, and more! I was very happy with the hospitability of the owners and Tatiana. They have an easy way of communicating, and I felt treated with much confidence.

Thank you very much. I am looking forward to the next time.

Excellent stay in the Marais

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 spent almost a week here and were very comfortable. The location is excellent - close to shops, the metro and museums. The apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The linens were very nice. The kitchen is especially large for a European city apartment. The owner was very responsive and helped to identify a problem with mosquitoes we were having. A couple of additional fans would be helpful.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind review - and I'm sorry about not having enough fans - normally 3 are enough in June, but this year we had a heat wave and the shops had all run out before you came ! We've put in a couple more now.

Oh my goodness! We hit the Jackpot with this one!!

  • 5 of 5

What an absolutely wonderful apartment! My only regret was that we didn't stay longer and include more leisure time. My husband and I were in Paris for 5 nights with 4 teenage girls. We were VERY pleased with our stay. The neighborhood has everything you could want. The metro is just a couple of blocks away. We felt so spoiled! The owners and staff were easy to communicate with and very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this apartment and are hoping we can go back soon!

fantastic

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time that i have stayed at 27 Rue Saintonge and it has remained my favourite Paris residence after 10 trips to the city.

The location is great - easy walking distance to a great chunk of the sites or a easy walk to metro stops arts and metier an more. One of my favourite things is the proximity to rue de bretagne ( many fresh food stores and a great 3 level organic grocer) and the Market " marche enfants rouge " - in case you like to cook which id recommend as the kitchen is so late and useable.

Apart from that - its so close to many great cafes and eateries ( in fact my new favourite is down stairs!) with great food coffee and wholesome cakes.

Communication with owner was swift and always helpful ( i had a bad leg and they ensured that i had help with my bags), plant of info on the neighbourhood and the apartment which was also immaculately clean)

i want to live here .

Did i mention some great great fashion stores in the area?

and art.

Roomy and stylish apartment to stay in.

Brilliant apartment. So sad to leave!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Terri's apartment was so enjoyable. We stayed for 6 nights in July with our three children. Terri maintained an excellent level of communication leading up to our stay. She was unable to meet us but Raphael met us at the apartment and gave us a comprehensive tour. The apartment was gorgeous and spacious. The location is superb. Turn left and you find boulangeries, supermarkets, fresh fruit market, ice-cream, everything you need. Turn right and you can head down towards some fantastic shops. Two metro stations are close by. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes close by and Terri provides a good overview. La Taglia downstairs is an absolute pizza gem. When we were utterly exhausted from being out all day, we could easily slip down and grab the kids some fantastic pizza. I would highly recommend Terri's apartment, it made us want to run away and live in Paris!

Wonderful Paris apartment

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to spend the month of April in Paris and to find this lovely apartment. From the outset it was reassuring to communicate with Terri whose native language is English. She answered questions and concerns promptly. Her thoughtfulness extended to greeting us with a bouquet of fresh flowers. The apt was spotless, spacious, and well equipped and furnished.

The kitchen and bathrooms were efficient and modern and it was great to have a tub to soak in after walking many miles each day.

Since the weather was perfect we were able to open the windows each day and close them at night so that street noise was minimal.

Two granddaughters who visited us loved the loft bed and having their own bath.

The location in the Marais was great enabling us to walk to many of the attractions and the metro was nearby for more distant destinations.

All in all a most memorable stay!

Superb Accommodation in Central Paris

  • 5 of 5

We were treated to a truly elegant surprise when we stepped through the doors into this apartment. It was spacious, warm and inviting with many personal touches which made it seem like home for the week we were there. The owner's agent gave us a great deal of information and we were able to shop and eat locally, emersing ourselves in the local culture. On the metro we were just a few stops away from all the tourist attractions and major shopping areas including Galleries Lafayette. The apartment had absolutely everything we could need and it was spotlessly clean, a credit to both the owners and the managers. Should we ever be fortunate enough to return to Paris we will make this apartment our first accommodation enquiry.

Location

The apartment is in a quiet street just south of the rue de Bretagne, which is full of lively cafés and bars, food shops (patisserie/baker, butcher, fishmonger, wine merchants, supermarkets) and the Marché des Enfants Rouges, with its food stalls, 'traiteurs' and cafés. It is also 5 minutes by foot from the Picasso Museum and within walking distance of the Centre Pompidou, the beautiful Place des Vosges and the Place de la Bastille. There are also lots of art galleries both in our street and the adjacent streets (Emmanuel Perrotin,Yvon Lambert, Thaddeus Ropac, Karsten Greve etc). If you're looking for clothes shops, they include Isabel Marant, Maje, Shine, and many many more. Three different metro lines are all within easy walking distance of the apartment.
