Quiet and simple, but not primitive. The kitchen is stocked with the basic cooking equipment and a gas stove. The bathroom is beautiful with a large walk-in, tiled shower and an incinerator toilet. The loft has one regular size bed.

The road to the cabin is gravel and has steep places with sharp curves. It is passable in a car if taken slow. A four-wheel-drive is recommended in the winter when it snows.

While staying in our cabin you can eat at the famous Miguel’s Pizza or at the Rock House Café. You can entertain yourself by visiting Natural Bridge and hike on the many trails or ride the sky lift. If you are up for big adventure there is the Red River Gorge zipline. In the evening you can even go to the Drive-in for a movie. If you like to antique shop, there is the Stanton Antique Mall.

Just what I needed...

  • 4 of 5

I came to get away - off the "grid" if you will - and it was exactly what

I needed. Cabin was cute and location was quiet and peaceful. Weather

was good so I spent alot of time on the back deck reading and journaling.

Would definitely recommend... One note... I would recommend a 4 wheel

drive vehicle. My car almost did not make it up some of the hills on the

back roads leading to the cabin. Thank you...

Quaint and Cozy

  • 4 of 5

A great place for my husband and I to unwind and explore this gorgeous area. The stairs are steep, but safety rope is provided. Unusual toilet was very noisy, but the bathroom was beautiful. It sets high on top of a steep hill which gives you the illusion of being in the tree tops. Drive up was steep and you have to keep an even speed to make it. No problem in our KIA, and worth it for the view. We were able to get Verizon reception, but be prepared to unplug and enjoy the sounds of nature. We will definitely be back.

Cozy and enjoyable

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was clean : ) we had everything we needed. Only 2 minutes from left flank climbing area! The incinerator toilet is loud and we found it helpful to pee outside. We needed extra water and it was delivered immediately. There was an air mattress and fold out couch if needed. The fridge is small so plan well. Driveway was fine. Overall- great stay.

Quiet relaxing getaway, right in the middle of the forest. Easily walked to trails from cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Loved the quaint little cabin high on the ridge. Stove and toilet got a little getting use to-for town dwellers, but once we did, it was fine. Hiked the beautiful trails from the cabin, made good food over campfire or on the stove, relaxed on the porch overlooking tree covered hillside. Really quiet and relaxing. The forest is a treasure and we loved every minute breathing fresh clean air and enjoying the fall foliage. Hated to leave. Can't wait to come back. Thanks.
