About Samantha Cox

The Old Post Office was my Nana's House and left to me and my sisters. We couldn't bear to part with it as we knew how much she loved it, so decided the best way to keep it, was to allow others to enjoy it also. This way we could still visit from time to time also. It truly is a 'home from home' in a great setting and convenient location for exploring the area or just relaxing. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Sam, Vicky & Gini.

Samantha Cox purchased this cottage in 1980

Why Samantha Cox chose Wales

The property is conveniently located in a quiet area but only a 5 minutes car ride to the A55 which leads all around the Northmost area offering an ideal way to explore.

Comfortable and cozy, good location

  • 5 of 5

Cottage easy to find but suggest that you use llenlian road. Other access roads single track with few passing places. Half hours walk into Colwyn with super views, £5 taxi to come back, uphill all the way. The locals are very friendly and enjoy a chat.

Cottage as described and there's a very friend cat, home from home.

Shame about the log burner but it wasn't needed as we had really nice weather so relaxing out on the decking enjoying the peace and quiet made it a stress reducing break. A warm welcome and an essentials pack was much appreciated. Highly recommended with lots to do if want to but restful and comfortable if you don't

Owner's Response: Many Thanks for your review, so glad you found the Cottage a comfortable base, and the location good. It's also good to hear the residents of the village made you feel welcome, it's a small community and everyone is very friendly. We do state in the advert that the log burner is not up and running, it is something we are looking into however there are many considerations, not only for those families with young children, but also people who are not familiar with using them. The central heating does a very good job when it's cold, however I'm glad the weather was warm for you, it's so good when you get out and about and explore the beautiful area in fair weather. Best Wishes Sam

A lovely cottage, a relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

The Post Office is a fabulous cottage, with all mod cons. Just what you need for a relaxing break. It is spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped. the kitchen is newly renovated and it was a lovely surprise to be given bread, milk, butter and lots of other helpful things such as herbs and spices. The conservatory at the back of the house is warm and bright, a great place to relax.

A great country cottage

  • 5 of 5

Just back from a few days in this lovely cottage which retains its old-world charm whilst incorporating modern amenities. The conservatory is gorgeous when the sun shines. The bathroom has been very well modernised, as has the kitchen. Can't think of anything we lacked and we appreciated the 'breakfast pack'. Hayley was extremely friendly and obliging.

The location is beautiful, with lots of great views around. Shame about the weather! Perhaps it will be better next time.

Owner's Response: Hi there, Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the cottage comfortable. Such a shame the weather was not kinder to you, I don't think anyone, anywhere has enjoyed much sun so far this summer, and June is usually excellent! Never mind hopefully we can welcome you back another year when the sun is shining. Best Wishes Sam & Hayley :-)

A charming place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted with the cottage during our stay of 5 days. It was clean, comfortable, convenient, and cute. (How's that for alliteration?) The kitchen was modern and well equipped. It was pleasant sitting in the bright conservatory for our meals. The living room was cozy, had good WiFi, and even a nice selection of DVDs to choose from during the evening. We were happy with the location; it was a convenient drive to all the things we wanted to see. We discovered "Quiz Night" at the local pub and enjoyed it and the friendly locals very much. A great evening. The decor was charming and made the stay so pleasant. One bedroom looked out at the cute thatched roof cottage across the lane, and the other bedroom (from the lower bunkbed) had a view of the sea. Samantha answered all questions prior to our arrival promptly and was a pleasure to communicate with.
