Richbark 14 is a family vacation rental cabin sitting directly on the beautiful Current River. Total update in 2012. Located on secluded Richbark Lane just 2 miles from 'downtown' Van Buren, Missouri, Richbark 14 offers easy access to nearby float services, stores and restaurants. The cabin has an excellent private concrete boat landing- a great place to tie up your jet-boat or just relax by the water. The cabin has a master bedroom with king size bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed. In addition, there is a small room with a single twin bed, and two thick foam pads for kids or small adults. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area is in one end of the main room with lots of windows and great views of the river. There are two baths with showers, plus central air and heat, ceiling fans, dishwasher, disposal, washer and dryer. Enjoy the large covered deck with a charcoal grill on the lower landing. About The Owner

My wife and I are graphic designers and owners of a marketing/advertising business in Huntsville Alabama.

Why The Owner chose Missouri

I grew up on the other side of Missouri. My first float trip on the Current River was in 1974 from Pulltite Spring to Van Buren. This is the closest (and maybe best) Ozark stream area to our home in Huntsville Alabama.

What makes this cabin unique

Nice setting with a yard and easy access to the river. Usually quite on week days. Good weather summer weekends bring out a parade of floaters and boats. Close to town and float services.

Had a wonderful time. Cabin was perfect and my favorite part was sitting on the river with my feet in the water. Everyones reviews are all true! Can't wait to return next summer or fall!

We loved the cabin and the location!

  • 5 of 5

We all loved staying at the cabin! It was a pleasure from the moment we saw the wonderful location and continued as we entered into such a clean and fresh smelling cabin! Everything was as advertised and it was a great mini vacation! Thank you for providing all of the little things from hand and bar soap to a fully stocked kitchen. Using the outdoor grill and the kitchen stove and oven made meal preparations a breeze! It was great having extra towels and a washer and dryer, too! The showers were clean and had great water pressure. We really enjoyed sitting on the covered deck as well as the deck near the river. Your place is so close to the river and allows very easy access! We brought our own tubes and were able to jump right in from your concrete landing! Our float from the cabin to Big Spring was perfect! Thank you for providing all of the information we needed to make our stay fun and comfortable. We will be back and we want to stay longer next time! This is definitely a perfect place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Current River!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! We are glad that everyone enjoyed your visit to the cabin. It is a unique place and we love to share it with fellow river rats. A couple of folks have already booked for next summer, and we hope you will want to come again in the future. Jon

A Current River Gem!

  • 5 of 5

Richbark 14 is a perfect 10! We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin on the banks of the Current River. The owners have thought of everything - it is comfortable and well equipped and a perfect spot for enjoying the river. The kids enjoyed playing in the river right off the dock and finding fish and turtles. Floating from the cabin to the bridge is a great one hour float. And the cabin is convenient to other points of interests we enjoyed - Johnson's Shut-ins and Elephant Rocks State Park. Jon and Lee were a pleasure to work with. We look forward to a return trip.

Owner's Response: We hope to continue sharing this place on the river for years to come. It is so nice to hear from folks that soak up the unique things about the Current River and surrounding country. The cabin booked up early this summer, so plan early if you want to return next year. Thanks again for staying at Richbark14. Jon & Lee

This cabin will NOT disappoint!

  • 5 of 5

We go floating on the current every year and this was our first time staying at this cabin on the river. We will definitely be returning! The cabin had beautiful views, was very clean, and had everything we needed. The owners have an easy and efficient reservation process and was quick to respond to emails.

Our group of four stayed this past week at the cabin and the experience was wonderful.....so much better than staying in a hotel. Two bedrooms, two baths was perfect for our stay and look forward to coming back next year!

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed the visit. The cabin booked up "solid" pretty early this summer, so you may want to consider making reservation for next year as soon as you set a date. Thanks again for visiting the cabin. Jon

Spectacular!!! Amazing access to river!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to rent the cabin for our all women float trip. The cabin had three rooms accommodating all 6 of us. You can see and hear the river from the back deck and living room. It's gorgeous! The river was up about 5 feet above average so, it was really moving! We launched from cabin boat ramp and tubed to Big Spring in 3 hours! Tubed Waymyer to cabin next day in 2.5! That's twice as fast as normal. Everything we needed for a nice little vacation away from men and children!!! Although, it would be great to bring them sometime too! Thanks Jon!
