Spacious 60 m., two bedroom apartment with superb views over the bay from the balcony, living/dining room and American kitchen. Perfect for a romantic get away, family holiday or for plane spotting! It is beside the Radisson Hotel. The view, day and night, is spectacular. The East West Tramway runs right behind the apartment. You can hop on at the airport and 10 minutes later arrive at the apartment door! From mid 2019, the tram will run all the way to the Harbour with stops in Nice Centre and the Old Town. This adds to the already good bus service. The beach is across the Promenade and the Radisson private beach with chairs for hire is a short stroll. The apartment has air conditioning in the salon and is 'traversant'' i.e. it has windows front and back so you can keep cool with the Mediterranean breeze. The main bedroom has a double bed and ample wardrobe space. The second has two single beds that can be made into a double.
There is an American kitchen, dining space for six, a sofa bed/couch and balcony furniture. There is cable TV (Sky News, BBC World, CNN, Bloomberg etc) and WiFi, stereo and DVD. The apartment is strolling distance to the town and there are shops and cafes nearby.
Anyone for Golf or Skiing?: Other activities - Skiing or golf? Nice is a perfect base for winter sports and particularly skiing. The resorts of Auron, Isola 2000 and Valberg/Beuil are about an hours drive from the centre of Nice. But why drive when you can take a bus from the Nice to the ski slopes (you can ski during the day and lie on the beach in the afternoon. If golf is your passion, there are many fine golf courses around Nice. There are even two courses dating back to the 19th century - Cannes Mandelieu (1891) and Valescure (1895).
Getting to the apartment: If arriving by plane at Terminal 1, you have a choice - the Airport bus which departs T1 at 20 minute intervals until 2350 (summer time). It also takes in T2. You alight from the bus at the Ste Helene Promenade stop and cross the Promenade to the Radisson. The apartment is to the left a few doors.This bus costs €6 but the ticket lasts all day.
An alternative from T1 is to take the No 52 from the main road opposite arrivals (same side) as far as Ste Helene Promenade (opposite the Radisson). Cross towards the Radisson and...Tickets are €1.50 or €10 for a 10 journey ticket if purchased in the bus information office at the bus terminus outside arrivals or in the Ligne D'Azur shop opposite the main train station.
Very soon it will be possible to walk out of the airport terminal, hop on a tram for about 10 minutes before alighting at the stop right behind Copacabana.
