The condo was larger than it looked in photos. Great location with groceries and the subway a block away. I would 100% stay there again!
Great location, not great amenities
The AC was cold but loud, but effective. The construction next door didn’t bother us at all. The place was clean and the location is great!
Downsides: I assumed a place in NYC would at least have a coffee maker but it didn’t. There were only 3 mugs, and I realIze it’s meant for only 1-2 people but the number of everything was so limited it made washing dishes a meal by meal thing just in order to eat. The other thing is that there is a dishwasher but no soap so only hand washing.. We also had no replacement for paper towels when they ran out, only 1 kitchen towel that basically stayed wet the whole time (yuck) because we had to constantly wash dishes whenever we used anything, and the place just really felt skimpy.
I’ve rented other places for similar price that were apppointed more like they were expecting people to stay there rather than feeling so empty and sparse.
The cleaning woman also showed up 15 mins early and rushed us out - she was nice enough but the only face we saw representing this property.
You should also know that you have to pick up the keys from another apt building down the block. That wasn’t a big deal, just unusual, so I feel like it’s good to know ahead of time. In a city with so many Airbnb scammers, I want to feel at ease when I travel and like I can trust my host.
This host was professional enough but I feel like not really caring about her guests or the important details of hospitality. I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason.
Excellent location. Perfect for our needs.
We were in town to visit our older children, both of whom live on the Upper East Side. This is was an ideal location and provided everything we needed.
Beds were comfortable, clean and the wifi was good, allowing me to get some work done.
A very short walk to the subway and NYC is yours to explore.
Lara was very responsive when there was a minor problem with the keys.
We would look to stay here again.
Great home away from home
Lea was great to coordinate with and the apartment is well suited for short stays or long. Would stay again for sure.
Good Apartment, Spotty Communication
Overall this apartment turned out to be a good home base for a visit to NYC, with a central location just off of Union Square with its walkable amenities and subway hub. The place was comfortable and clean as advertised. We experienced poor communication with the property hostess, however, leading up to our arrival. I was forced to call and email several times to remind her of our arrival date and obtain directions on how to acquire the house key -- we did not receive instructions until after our flight had landed in New York. When we got there, the apartment was missing basic necessities including bed sheets, pillows and toilet paper. To her credit, the hostess fixed those issues on our second day and refunded our first night's charge upon request. Nevertheless, those problems and the lack of communication created stress on our otherwise enjoyable visit.
Could be better
The apt did look as advertised, but with just some minor changes it would been a great stay. My wife and I stayed there over the Holidays. The problems were...
No door between bedroom and and living room
Kitchen facet was extremely loose.
Bathroom drain backed up.
Master bedroom window is stuck open
Living room window has the A/C Unit still in it letting in cold air and noise from the construction next door.
We had to call multiple times and wait far too long before someone came with the keys.
We had to call the cable company to fix the TV.
