Unusually large, totally independent studio apartment off High St Kensington and Holland Park. Zone 1 tube and bus! 500 sq ft unusually large lower ground studio with mature olive trees and lavender bushes providing a lovely view and privacy. At front of elegant, well maintained 5 floor Victorian house just a few minutes from beautiful Holland Park. Studio has own private entrance direct from the street - 3 steps down. Small front patio area surrounded by the olive trees and lavender bushes. Rental apartment has much light with a very sunny aspect. The studio was refurbished recently when new wooden floors and central heating were installed. The studio has been redecorated. The studio has its own entrance hall, separate kitchen, separate bathroom (shower and basin), separate toilet/WC, and then a very large living/bedroom, with spacious dressing area and built-in wardrobe area at the back. Fully furnished and equipped with everything that you need for either a few days rental, several weeks, or even months - from washing machine to toothpaste! King size bed, linen and towels recently purchased for the studio. Ideal rental apartment for professionals on business, holiday makers, research students, musicians, trade fair exhibitors, etc. Perfect accommodation for Olympia Exhibition Centre. Free WIFI broadband internet access. Strictly no smoking. This is the BEST VALUE accommodation in CENTRAL LONDON - nothing can touch it in Zone 1 - we are not in the outer areas of Zone 2 !!

TRANSPORT -

Tubes - all week tube service from across the road at Kensington Olympia! Also Earls Court, High St Kensington and Holland Park tube stations all within very easy walking distance.

Buses - the two best routes in London - 9 and 10 - stop just around the corner and take you into the centre. Other buses direct to Portobello market, Camden market, etc.

Trains - direct to Clapham Junction, Gatwick Airport and Watford. Also Harry Potter Studios easy access.

Mini-cabs. We arrange excellent value fares to all airports.

Car Parking - our best kept secret - VERY CHEAP LONG STAY PARKING AVAILABLE NEARBY!!!!

The studio is totally independent but physically part of our family home in Kensington which has been owned by the family since 1961! As such it is only reasonable that we wish to know something about people wishing to stay here – put yourself in the same place. We always ask for ID and proof of address before accepting a booking. This is now needed for London tourism data, security and our personal reasons. About Daniel Kaminski

I am a professional Chartered Accountant who trained with KPMG, one of the world's leading firms.

I now have my own business advising companies investing in Spain. We have always had a house in central London, as well as Madrid for a while. We love travel, music, opera, food, horses, etc. I spend quite a lot of time travelling to Spain.

Why Daniel Kaminski chose Kensington

This is a unique property which has been owned by our family since 1961.

It is a wonderful and very large late Victorian house which still has many original features.

We have carried out much restoration work to maintain the original features, but also to make it work more practically. We have a large rear garden. At the front of the house there are three lovely, mature olive trees screening the studio flat and lots of lavender.

What makes this apartment unique

This is a quiet oasis and refuge in central London, and within easy reach of some of London's most beautiful parks and squares.

The area is also full of restaurants, museums, shops and many other cultural, leisure and sports facilities.

We enjoy excellent transport links to all parts of London, as well as trains to Gatwick Airport, and coaches to Oxford and Windsor!

  • The bathroom has a large built-in newly refurbished shower with glass door. It uses a sports electric shower unit which gives a good continuous supply of water. There is a wash basin in the bathroom. The hot water for the basin in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchen is supplied by a massive hot water tank. The WC is a separate room altogether.

  • Brand new 5ft (152 cms) wide King size double bed (medium firm mattress). Studio flat so the bedroom and living room are in one area. All linen and towels just replaced. Large dressing area with separation at rear of room, with lots of wardrobe and shelf space for clothes, etc. No shortage of storage space in this flat! A folding bed could be supplied for a small child by separate arrangement.

Notes:
The studio is totally self-contained but as the owners live next door we can supply most things in an emergency and we try to help as much as possible. There is no security problem at the studio or in the area as there are many families with young children around us. Obviously you need to lock doors and windows at night or when you go out - like anywhere else. The two best bus routes into central London - Piccadilly, Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Trafalgar Square - pass at the top of our road! This is also excellent accommodation for exhibitors and visitors to OLYMPIA EXHIBITION CENTER.

Large flat conveniently located 2 blocks from Kensington Street. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery and bus stop in easy walking distance. Owner was very helpful and responsive to any request. I would stay at the property again.

Ample space, comfortable bed, reasonable cost

Nice size flat, with plenty of space to move around. The bed was surprisingly comfortable with plenty of pillows provided if needed. Kitchen had enough pots and supplies to make easy meals if desired. The shower was good, though if you are taller than 6'1" you would need to duck while in there. They had extra space heaters in the bathroom and w/c for those colder mornings, it was a nice touch. Location was good, an easy walk to the train connecting you everywhere, as well as a short walk to grocery and some shopping. Wifi worked very well. Daniel and his wife were very helpful, available by text or email for questions before and during your stay.

Un studio agréable et bien situé à Kensington Nord.

Les commentaires des différents locataires depuis 2008 sont clairs et précis. Le studio a une belle surface, est bien meublé et bien équipé. Il dispose d'une très bonne connection wifi-internet, télé à petit écran plat sans chaînes étrangères, lave-linge de bonne qualité avec option sèche-linge. Dans l'espace sémi-souterraine bien éclairée il y a une petite cuisine séparée, wc séparé et petite salle d'eau. En plein hiver nous avons passé un agréable mois ici pour visiter les musées, salles de concert et autres monuments. Le propriétaire est disponible. Si vous êtes écologiste vous appréciérez sa gestion du chauffage central. Pour votre comfort le studio est équipé d'un radiateur d'appoint d'une capacité de 2000 Watt. Il y a un compteur d'électricité séparé pour le studio mais un forfait de 50 kWh par semaine est inclus dans le prix du logement.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jean for your kind words. We do our best to keep all our guests happy in the best value for money studio in central London. In fact, when the weather is so extremely cold we are very flexible with any usage above 50 KWh per week. In both your case, as well as a lovely North American lady, we did not charge at all for very heavy electricity usage due to the cold weather. The electricity consumption was well over 125 KWh per week and we are happy to help. All the best Daniel.

Russell Road is right next to Olympia Underground station as well as Olympia Train station. The station has direct trains to Gatwick Airport. At the end of the road is High Street Kensington with many buses to Central London. We are very close to the Olympia Hilton Hotel. The wonderful parks - Holland Park and Kensington Gardens - are very close. Shops include Tesco at Cromwell Road, and at Hammersmith Road, with a Waitrose on High St Kensington. Many restaurants on High St Kensington, Hammersmith, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Earls Court, etc. Very near to Westfield Shopping Centre! Eeasy access arriving by car from the M3, M4 and M40. Just across the railway from Olympia Exhibition Centre and not far from Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

Other Activities: OLYMPIA EXHIBITION CENTRE & EARLS COURT EXHIBITION CENTRE.
