Our Family chose to buy a place in Pine as it is super family friendly. Its is close to Phoenix, you do not have to drive for hours to get to the mountians.
Best view in Pine... Full Log Cabin...
I did not want to leave! We had an amazing time from the minute we showed up, and still now reminiscing on the home and weekend we spent there for Thanksgiving. Lisa was amazing, pleasant, an available to speak to with any questions. The cabin was gorgeous, clean and cozy, and yes, you really are nestled in the pines with great views from the decks. Yet nestled, you are still close enough to the road to hop on and get to town quick for any necessities and even try the Old Inn's pizza! I would love to go back soon, this place and the owner Lisa exceeds 5 stars! :)
When I received the packet from the owner, I was truly impressed. Impressed because we have stayed in other properties, and none bothered to send us a welcome package like Lisa. We usually drive into Payson for breakfast, etc., but decided to use Lisa's info. Food was great at the Early Bird Cafe. The Antique shops had great bargins, however, when one returns back to Lisa's cabin?? Truly a great treat sitting out on the patio watching the wildlife do their thing.
Thanks once again for letting us hang out in your place for that weekend. Communication was great and and we look forward to staying there once again....
The cabin was very clean and it looked like the kitchen had been recently renovated. The air-conditioning in the master bedroom needs some attention. The hose kept falling out of the window so the room was on the warm side. The view was really pretty from the deck and the location was quiet and private. It was a very nice get away cabin and Pine is awesome.
Lisa was wonderful. The house is fabulous and has many amenities. It was just my husband and myself and we had a great time enjoying the games in the basement and the great views. The kitchen is well appointed, the linens were clean (not dusty or musty) and the house contained everything you could need. Pine is a nice small town (versus Payson - which has a bit of a strip mall feel).
Thanks Lisa for a wonderful weekend.
PS- this would be a great house for a family to stay as the rooms are comfortable and there is plenty to do.
The home was fantastic and the owner was such a pleasure to work with. She made everything so seamless. The home was very clean and completely stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. We were very impressed and can't wait to book again!!
We just stayed in the cabin this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about how soon we can go back! There were four in our group (two couples, late 20s and early 30s). The views in the cabin were great! We kepts the windows open all night and heard Elk calls!
Saturday began with coffee on the upper balcony and a view of trees and mountains that looked like it was printed from a postcard. We hiked in search of geocaches and scenery and were not disappointed! Then we headed up to the Fossil Creek Creamery where we loaded up on delicious fudge and some fig goat cheese for our dinner later in the evening.
The drive back to the cabin was beautiful - we made a point to stop at an antique shop along the way! Excellent prices, service, and selection! We then headed to a local festival, fished at Woods Canyon Lake, and made it home to grill steaks, play cards, and enjoy the fire pit (and s'mores, of course) behind the cabin.
Lisa has stocked the home with everything you will need! While we had packed all of our supplies, it was nice to see a selection of commonly forgotten items available, if needed. There was toothpaste, cleaning supplies, coffee and tea, and even toys, games, and equipment in the basement! There is also a great hammock stand that we wish we had time to use!
The only thing I would change about our weekend is the length of time we stayed- if only it could be longer! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us and other travelers to come.
