Beautiful location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, Air-conditioned, Large pool.

Two en-suite bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with twin beds, three bathrooms, sleeps 6, double sofa bed in the living room, satellite TV in the living room and master bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, DVD and video. Ground floor position with terrace leading onto gardens. Village style development situated alongside Sao Lourenco Golf Course, next to Ria Formosa lagoon and nature reserve, 2 tennis courts with tuition available, large communal pool incorporating a children's pool, with poolside bar for drinks and snacks. 25% discount on certain golf courses, water sports and riding close by. Child friendly with lots of videos, DVDs, books and toys, lots of world class restaurants and golf courses nearby. Fabulous walks with lots of wildlife to see including flamingo's and eagles. Glass dining room table, plus seating and table outside and three sun beds. Extra beds, cots & high chairs available for small extra charge, bath towels and linen changed twice a week and property cleaned twice a week.

Booking Notes: To book, phone Rachel direct or send an email. I will require a small deposit at the time of booking and ask you to complete a booking form. The remainder of the payment will be due 8 weeks before departure. I take a small, refundable breakages deposit.

Travel: Faro Airport is about a 20 minute drive and costs about 25 euros in a taxi. A hire car is recommended to drive to the shops etc. There are 3 restaurants within a short walk (5 - 10 minutes), and you can walk to the beach and the lake for watersports in a few minutes. Victory Village also has its own exclusive sunbed area on the beach that can be booked with reception for a discounted price. It is just over the bridge on the left and close to a lovely snack bar which has a large shaded area with comfy armchairs directly on the beach.

The nearest shopping centre is Quinta Shopping, about 2 miles away. Vale do Lobo is about 6 miles away, as is Almancil the nearest town. Loule, a market town is about 15 miles away. There are 2 small supermarkets quite close to the property - about 10 minutes walk.

Further Details: There are so many restaurants around the area it would be impossible to list them all, they range from Michelin Star to local pubs. Names, addresses, telephone numbers are all available in the apartment, listed and grid referenced on a map, as are all local businesses, riding stables, doctors etc. These are all shown in a magazine entitled 'Central Algarve' which is under the TV in the living room. Aqua Show (Water Park) is a 20 minute drive away in Quarteira and is highly recommended, as is Zoo Marine which is a bit further down the coast.

It is a great area for cycling, by contacting Victory Village reception they will put you in touch with a local company who will deliver and collect bikes for very reasonable prices.

About Rachel Milne

This is me at Caso Do Lago restaurant which is a fabulous fish restaurant and Champagne bar directly on the lake which is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. I live in the North West with my partner and 2 children. We both work full time but do try to get over to Portugal whenever possible. The moment I arrive at my apartment I instantly feel all the pressure lift and I get straight out to the beach. We are hoping to retire to the apartment one day and enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery, not to mention the fabulous golf in the not too distant future!

Why Rachel Milne chose Almancil area

We bought the apartment because it is in the most fabulous location. Just 5 minutes walk from the beach (over the wooden bridge which crosses the Ria Formosa estuary), another 5 minutes and you are at a beautiful lake which has a fabulous restaurant/champagne bar and all sorts of water sports and a swimming pool. The apartment development is alongside Sao Lourenco golf course which is one of the finest in Europe. There are 2 other courses, Quinta North & Quinta South which are 5 minutes in the car and both championship courses. We are close enough to walk to Four Seasons Country Club & Four Seasons Fairways and 3 or 4 lovely restaurants, also a small supermarket. Again about 7 minutes by car and you are at Quinta Shopping which is an exclusive development of shops, bars and restaurants.

Unique benefits of the property

The main benefits of the property are that it is in an extremely beautiful and peaceful area, but just a few minutes away by car and there is night life, restaurants, bars and shopping. The natural beauty of the area and the fabulous walks are also a benefit, it is actually built on a nature reserve and there is an abundance of wildlife, I have seen flamingos, Sea Eagles, Dolphins to name but a few. One of the best walks from the apartment is to Faro Island which takes about an hour and is really worthwhile, it is like going back in time and the sand is just beautiful up there. You also have everything you need at the apartment, 2 TVs with 70 channels each, DVD and Video and lots of childrens games and toys, it is also child friendly as well as being a tranquil retreat!

Situated alongside Sao Lourenco Golf Course, 3 minutes drive to Quinta North & South (2 seperate 18 hole championship courses), 10 minutes drive to Pinheros Altos Golf Course and Vale do Lobo's Royal & Ocean courses. Guests are able to get around 25% discount off most courses by contacting Victory Vilage reception who will be pleased to make the bookings for you.

Cots can be hired for 10 euros per day, high chairs 3 euros per day, extra beds 15 euros per day, and safes are 20 euros per week with a 15 euro deposit.
