A Great place to relax and unwind and only 1 hour North of Concord, NH in a quiet and secluded area in the mountains. We sit up in the elevation of 1620' (your ears pop coming to the CABIN),
There is plenty to do in the central part of NH in and around the White Mountains. We are just up the street from the Baker River clubhouse where you can park and get on the trails directly. If you X-country, hike or snowshoe... you have direct access to the trails down the street from the cabin. Come and enjoy the groomed trails of Baker river, Hardy Country, Lyme Pinnacle, Snowdrifters, Bridgewater, and Central NH to name a few. ATV trails the next town up in Warren and Haverhill in the summer.
Tenny Mountain is located just 15 minutes away for Down Hill Skiing and Tubing. They are open Thurday-Monday. They have been closed for 8 years and the new owner has been working hard to open back up this popular local mountain.
Down stairs bedroom with king bed, 2 bedrooms upstairs with 2 twin beds in each. Ist floor bedroom opens onto the porch and 1 upstairs bedroom opens onto a balcony. Lots of storage space. Bathroom on both floors, full kitchen with all you need to cook with, living room with gas fireplace, pull out couch and futon. Satellite TV, cell service, dvd player with some movies. Charcoal grill (bring charcoal) Rap around covered open porch on 1/2 the building. Plenty of room for parking and trailers.
In the spring, summer and fall there is great hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, etc. and again BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. Trout stream in back of the property and active moose habitat and many rivers, streams, and lakes to check out in the area. Close to the Polar Caves, Cardigan Mtn tower, rock climbing, gold panning, local swimming holes, Sculptured rocks, Stinson lake, Newfound lake, Plymouth State University, atv trails just up the street in Warren and Haverhill. Bring your boat, canoe, kayak and whatever. Also a great place to use as a base camp to ride your motorcycle. There are also some great places to eat and enjoy the local night life. Check out the ICE CASTLE in Lincoln (winter only), the FLYING MONKEY for concerts in Plymouth, an a variety of other "things to do in the area".
In the winter with snow on the ground...you can ride your sled to restaurants...Sunset Grill in Campton, The Rumney Café for food and live entertainment, The Bistro for food (both in Rumney), Hebron store, Baker River clubhouse, Salty Dog, Central NH clubhouse, just to name a few local places. The Last Chair at the Tenney Mountain circle is a great handout but you need to drive a vehicle.
A great place to relax and rewind and enjoy "Camp Life" and Life's simple pleasures. We are located far enough away from it all so you can forget the rat race but still close enough if you want to make sure it is still there!
Sit outside and enjoy a fire in the fire pit!
Bring your own bedding, pillows, towels, food and beverage. (We may be providing bedding and towels in the future). There is a Hannaford's grocery store and a Walmart as you come through Plymouth.
Sorry no pets and is a non-smoking cabin.
I will do what I can to make your stay enjoyable.
