2 bedroom 3rd floor west facing apartment in Lagos town close to beach & marina

Top class Quality Accommodation : Patio de Convento is a spacious condominium apartment very near to the centre of Lagos. There is over 100sq m of apartment. Being adjacent to the historic town and town centre means you have all the shops and services within easy reach of walking. For families, this condominium is very child friendly having a large pool and also childrens' play area. The 3rd floor property has an elevator from the garage up to the apartment and the balcony overlookes the pool . Close by are 3 supermarkets, Pingo Doce, Lidl, and EcoMarche. There is a daily fish market ( Mer Mercados) on the main avenida and a farmer's market every Saturday morning. A short walk will take you into the historic town centre and lovely old buildings and cobbled streets. Take in the view looking towards the marina and shops.

Outside : beautiful big communal swimming pool 18m x 9m x 1.35m (no deep end). Nicely landscaped gardens, children's play area, barbecue built in on balcony with outdoor table and chairs.


There are several local beaches a short stroll away e.g. Praia da Batatas, Meia Praia, Praia de Estudantes and there are many beautiful and breathtaking beaches to be discovered by either a long walk or a short drive along the coastline. Close to some of the best surfing coastline in Europe.

Shops and things to do : Local supermarket around the corner, banks etc. There are many excursions available which can be organised locally to various theme parks - Zoo Marine, a fantastic day out with dolphin shows - sea lion shows. Birds of prey shows and loads of water slides rides etc. Water parks (Aqua Land, aqua show family park, sand city and the local Lagos zoo). For the fishing enthusiast there are a vast amount of boat trips to choose from. This place will appeal to both young and old alike and is a place you would want to visit time and time again.

How to Find Us: How to find the Condominium: If driving from the Faro airport, take the A22 road showing road signs to Potimao and Lisboa. As you travel on the freeway you will find signs to Lagos, take that turn off. Depending on your turn off to Lagos, you aim should be to find the water channel to the town where the boats travel. The marina is opposite the main town. The condo is not on the marina side of Lagos. Patio de Convento is a 5 story yellow building with ochre colouring. It is very close to the roundabout that has the school, a red brick chimney and large white Municipal City Hall with palm trees. A guide to get there will be sent to visitors. For bus and train travellers its very easy to find and directions can be given. The Lagos bus depot is 150 metres from the apartment block and the train station is a short walk over the pedestrian bridge from the marina and leads straight to the bus station and then a 2 min walk to the apartment units.

What makes this apartment unique

Centrally located and surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafes, Marina etc all within a short walk of this spacious property. If you wish to hire a car, this apartment has a designated parking space in a subterranean car park with easy access by elevator up to the apartment. The condominium has a ramp entrance too which makes it also very wheelchair friendly.

Air conditioning which doubles up as heating in the winter months. The apartment is suitable for children with pool and play area which are fenced in and has a secure entry key fob entry system. The apartment overlooks pool and has video entry system. Amenities/facilities provided hob/stove, oven, fridge/freezer, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron/ironing board, , TV and DVD player, free wifi, air conditioning, west facing balcony for all day sunshine. There is a brick built barbecue. The apartment has access to a large shared pool which has many generic sun loungers.

Very nice with a good view of the pool

Just returned to the UK after spending 3 weeks is this apartment, good view of pool and close to bars and restaurants and not far from the marina

The only downside was there wasn't any instructions for the TV or cooker and the fan in the bathroom wasn't working also the bbq didn't look as though it had been cleaned from previous occupants

All in all it was a good holiday

Great flat in a great location.

The flat is spacious and in a nice building. Overall impression was good however there were a few issues which were dealt with quickly once highlighted.

Instruction booklets for using the TV and air conditioning/heating would have been helpful.

Unfortunately we felt the flat was in need of a thorough clean and this marred our stay somewhat.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. The instruction leaflets etc. were at the apartment but I am not sure where they disappeared to. They have now been replaced. I am glad you felt issues raised were resolved quickly. A couple of the issues related to cleaning which we immediately sent the cleaner back to clean for you. As we did not hear again from you, we thought everything was fine. It may have been better if you had contacted us again if there continued to be some issues.

5 star accommodation, convenient locatatio near centre of Lagos.-

Very well equipped, clean and easy to access, with parking for car in basement. Close to bridge across river to waterside and to very long sandy beach. Good base for restaurants and access to beautiful coastline to the West. Also handy for days out in far west. Shame about missing instructions leaflets - we struggled a bit with the A/C as a result, but Veronica was helpful and no doubt they will turn up or be replaced. Had a very enjoyable trip.

Very enjoyable!

We stayed for 1 week. Very clean and comfortable. Wifi was good. Location is excellent as it is quiet area but still only 5 mins walk to town centre. I would recommend this highly.

Staying in Lagos does not require a car,car hire is available at Faro Airport on a collection and drop off basis from a wide selection of companies bookable over the internet. The driving time to Lagos is about 55 minutes and the apartment is very easy to find. We will give you full directions before you travel, if you require an airport transfer this can be arranged also for you other means of transport - bus station, at 5 minutes from apartment - train station, at 12 minutes from apartment.


This apartment is located within a 5 mn walk to the centre of the historical town of Lagos. Lagos town offers a huge variety of restaurants, shops and bars. The apartment is within a 5 mn walk of the beautiful marina and promenade.

Golf: There are two golf courses adjoin Lagos town and there are 25 more and counting in the Algarve region within short and reasonable driving distance. Close to Palmares golf course is a 18 hole, par 71 course, 5961m long. Must be played to appreciate the spectacular views of both sea and mountains. The 1st hole probably being the most striking in the Algarve with its high tee position pointing out to the sea. The newest addition called the Bostavista Golf course less

than three years old this is a 18 hole par 71, 5751m long. There is one dedicated car parking space in the enclosed locked basement providing total security for clubs etc.
