This charming flat in the historic DeMun neighborhood of Clayton has been completely remodeled (completed 2012). The location is within walking distance of Concordia Seminary, Washington University and Fontbonne University as well as the jewel of St. Louis, Forest Park. Coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, grocery stores, drug stores and banks are all within a few blocks of this delightful home. Downtown St. Louis, is conveniently located a short 10 minutes away.
The brand new kitchen has everything you need to have a meal at home if you so choose. A gas grill on your back deck only adds to your options.

Loretta and Mark have recently moved back to St. Louis after 30 years away and are enjoying life in the De Mun neighborhood. Their favorite things to do here are walking the neighborhoods and Forest Park as well as bike riding around town. They continued their passion for bringing properties back to life with the remodel of this wonderful home.

The DeMun area is a diverse historic neighborhood with an upbeat vibe due to its' proximity to the universities. There is never a shortage of things to do nearby and the central location makes it a breeze to get anywhere in St. Louis.
Walking to Kaldi's for coffee in the morning and watching the neighborhood wake up.
Walking to the Oyster Bar, Jimmy's, Katie's or Sasha's for a relaxing dinner at the end of the day.
Walking through the campuses of the local universities.
Walking through beautiful Forest Park and popping in and out of the museums at will as they are free and open to the public.
We stayed in this charming home last week and I have to say that it is lovely. Not only the interior, but the neighborhood as well. It was perfectly located for family visits and plenty of room to catch up and relax. Thank you for allowing us to share a little of your historic area. Great parks, restaurants, and easy access to just about everything we needed. We will be back.

This is a wonderful property in a quiet historic neighborhood. Everything you need for your stay is provided. Nice patio area in the backyard. Laundry on site. There is an abundance of room in this flat. The owners are fantastic. We will definitely stay here again!!!
We had a fantastic trip to St. Louis for five days in late July of 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the suite. It was incredibly clean on our arrival, and the suite is beautifully furnished and instantly makes you feel at home. The neighbourhood is very safe and filled with stunning brick character homes that we enjoyed walking past. Schnuck's grocery store and a few restaurants were only a couple of blocks away, and a coffee shop, laundromat and other restaurants were only 5 mins walk in another direction. We cooked most of our meals in the renovated kitchen, and enjoyed the warm nights sitting on the back porch and patio area with a cool beverage. The Delmar loop is only a few minutes drive away, and the freeway that takes you directly to downtown St. Louis is accessible within minutes. The suite's location was central and made exploring St. Louis convenient and easy. We took in a few ball games at Busch stadium, took part in the St. Louis Running Tour (highly recommend it) and had lunch in historic St. Charles without having to drive more than 20 mins from the suite. We had no issues finding parking on the street in front of the suite at night and it was very refreshing coming home each night to the air conditioned atmosphere.
Our only negative experiences were two trips on the Metro subway; one from the airport to the nearby station in the afternoon, and the other from the nearby station to downtown the next morning. On both occasions, we did not feel it was a safe environment for us and we were thankful we did not have our kids with us. We ended up renting a car shortly after the second trip and we never looked back. The rest of the trip with a vehicle was very enjoyable and uneventful. That would be our biggest recommendation......rent a car if you don't have your own on the trip. It's far safer and the Metro doesn't reach a lot of the scenic areas of St. Louis.
St. Louis is a beautiful city and we will have many special memories of our trip. This suite is the perfect spot to make your base while there, we can't say enough good things about the renovated character home and the surrounding area.
The apartment was fantastic! My husband and our three children were with us. Our daughter took the front room and slept on the air mattress. There are french doors to that room, so there is a sense of privacy. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. There are enough place settings for eight people. We had my extended family over for a barbecue. There is a school with a field nearby where my kids and their cousins could play soccer or whiffle ball (they are all age 13 and up). The apartment is spacious. I have one suggestion for a small side table in the bathroom so there would be a little more space for toiletries, etc. However, we all travel with hanging toiletry bags, so this was really not an issue. The rooms feel spacious. We enjoyed walking to Kaldi's in the morning to get coffee. It was great to be so close to Forest Park. I highly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was close to Washington University and central to all the major St Louis attractions. The neighborhood was quaint and lovely. The flat itself was clean, comfortable, well appointed and marvelously decorated. We highly recommend this flat without reservation.
