super clean, beautiful home in historic Houston neighborhood
So conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. The house is beautifully restored yet still modern inside, gated off-street parking, in a neighborhood with gorgeous older homes. There is no better host than a Southern gentleman, and Jaa is a terrific and thoughtful one. This is a shady, tree-lined street in an urban neighborhood in one of the biggest cities in the US--it will never be as quiet as a rural or suburban area, but it is pretty peaceful and quiet for a city street. Will definitely recommend and return.
Thank you for the kind review Barbary! You are the type of guest a host dreams of. Thank you for your great spirit.
...Place St. Julien...
We enjoyed our stay. Jaa, our host, was awesome!
Everything you could ask for and more!
The Belle Vie at St. Julien Place provides wonderful accommodations! The home is exactly as advertised--beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, functional (with all needed amenities) and safe (the gated entrance is a wonderful feature). My mother, sister, daughter, and I were attending a conference at the George R. Brown Convention center, and we wanted a centrally located rental which would make getting to and from downtown and the convention center convenient. The Belle Vie was the perfect location. More importantly, the owner was extremely responsive and attentive to our needs. Without prompting, he reached out to us to inquire if we were enjoying our stay and if we needed any assistance navigating the city, finding activities, or restaurants. We would definitely stay in this home again. We couldn't have had a better host. If you are coming to Houston, this is the place to stay. Thank you, Jaa!
Gena thank you for the kind review. You guys were smazing as well. Please come back to stay soon!
Good communication and nice space, but lots of road noise and seemed dangerous at times. The owner even ensured we closed the blinds in the evening. People racing motorcycles and cars playing loud music, so didn’t sleep well. Really liked the interior design, but the location isn’t a place we’d revisit.
Clark thank you for staying with us. You were hearing evening noise from the bar a couple blocks away on the main street that attracts a nice audience on weekends. The busy movement of traffic is due to those bars. The neighborhood is extremely safe and secure. My friendly request for you to consider closing the front blinds on the full pane windows facing the street when you are not there was due to it being night time, the lights were on in the entire house, and you were not there. Otherwise, as we discussed, it would have been fine. My home demanded a substantial investment to provide a premium product to you as a guest and the other guests that will follow. Regardless of how safe and secure the neighborhood may be and the home is, I strongly believe in not sending open invites. We are not located in the rural area. This is a great, peaceful neighborhood in the heart of the city. I would think you would be understanding with such an outlook, as I would expect most people would likely do the same with their home investments, regardless of how safe the neighborhood may be. With guests, I only ask them to be considerate of the house and treat it as they would their own. Once again we really appreciate the stay and I am sorry it was not the best experience for you. I also apologize if my request impeded on you having a positive experience or was negatively alarming. It was only met in a positive light.
Perfect stay. Loved the gated parking and the house was very comfortable. Would definitely come back. Thank you so much!
