|Minimum Stay||2 - 6 nights|
Cozy log home just steps from Lake Michigan and the Tunnel of Trees. Best of both worlds -- a quiet wooded setting with easy access to attractions in downtown Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Cross Village. Two bedrooms (main bedroom and loft), open concept living space with wood burning stove, HD TV/DVD player with satellite TV and Wifi. Updated kitchen with dishwasher, stove and microwave. Bathroom with walk-in shower. Large living room can accommodate extra guests. Outdoor features include an expansive porch for relaxing/dining, gas grill, firepit, and recreational equipment (kayaks, etc.). Only a short walk down the street for beach access and playground. Close to local ski destinations (Boyne and Nubbs Nob). We generally require a 6 night minimum stay during peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), but will consider shorter rental periods upon request.
Very clean and cute! Definitely would go back! It had everything we needed!
This is an ideal property for those looking to truly get away. Our family loved the log home and all that it offered. Well maintained and the owners were fast to respond with any questions we had for them. The beach was a short walk away and many days we were the only people there. Great fire pit for night time relaxation and plenty of space for the kids to run around. We enjoyed our drive to town through the tunnel of trees and spent some time at the local winery/farm where we took a family yoga class overlooking the surrounding area. We continue to talk about this trip and how relaxing it was for everyone. Would recommend this property for those in need of good relaxation and family time.
Great stay in a beautiful, peaceful, remote location away from the up north hustle and bustle. Owners were extremely helpful, attentive, and gave wonderful tips about activities and amenities. My kids loved being so close to the beach and walking through the beautiful woods a short path for long, relaxing days just hanging out and enjoying being on summer time. Serene surroundings to explore. We had perfect campfire nights, alone time playing in the Lake Michigan waves, tried our our new tree hammock, went on an amazing fishing trip, visited nearby attractions, and ate the best cookies imaginable at the local general store. Appreciated the stay and the time away!
Our summer vacation was perfect at this cabin! It is located in a quiet, secluded neighborhood with just a quick walk to private Lake Michigan access. We only saw a few people at the beach the entire week so it was almost as if we had it all to ourselves! It was so nice being able to walk to Lake Michigan -- if we forgot something or just needed more sunscreen/toys/snacks, it was a quick walk back. No need to load kids and beach stuff in a car and fight traffic! The beach was sandy and very clean with lots of opportunity to swim, play, search for rocks, and just relax.
The cabin backs up to woods so it was very peaceful and we heard a beautiful breeze through the trees at night. We enjoyed all the comforts of home -- a stocked kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, comfortable beds, and large bathroom. The loft area was perfect for our 3 kids. They felt like they had their own living space up there! The large porch included a table and chairs for meals outside. We enjoyed s'mores at the campfire area, and the kids had fun running around the large yard. We met a couple neighbors who were some of the friendliest people we've ever met!
The cabin is a quick drive to several Up North destinations like Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinaw City. The drive is so beautiful with tons of forest and the gorgeous Lake Michigan shoreline.
This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable cabins we've ever stayed at -- highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, beachy retreat!
This place was serene. We loved having the beach close enough to walk to hear and hear the waves in the evening. The beach was perfect too! Lots of sand to play in and make memories on the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The kitchen was well appointed and we loved the farmhouse sink! It also had a washer/dryer and tons of space. We were very comfortable during our stay.
The owners were very helpful during our stay. The only negative the entire week was that in the last 24 hours of our stay, I was stung by two hornets while inside the cabin. It was awful! Very bizarre! We had killed three earlier in the week, but did not think anything of it. Both stings were while sitting on the couch. We called the owners though and they said they would look into it. Outside of mother nature indoors besting us, it was a great stay!
We stayed at the Harbor Springs cabin for several nights with four adults and one toddler, and it could not have been better. The cabin was easy to find, but remote and private. Lake access is easy—just a short walk down a beautiful tree-lined path to a private beach. Plus, several other public beaches are a short drive away. Harbor Springs and Petoskey are both within easy driving distance (Dripworks in Petoskey has the best coffee and pastries in the state!). The cabin is beautifully appointed with a great kitchen, comfy beds, and tech amenities and the owners are gracious and flexible. Thanks so much for helping us have a great time Up North!
