Detached house situated just one minute walk to beautiful Ornos Beach ideally suited for upto 4 adults plus 2 children.

Positioned in a well kept and pretty small complex of apartments with a shared swimming pool. Plenty of external space with two large terraces each having canvas covered pergolas plus a small terrace with pergola. Air-conditioned. High quality external construction and design. Mykonian architecture with high wooden logged ceilings. Marble floors and double glazed windows and doors. Fully fitted quality kitchen. Just a one Minute walk to the beach which has tavernas and bars. A few minutes to Ornos Village which has supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, greengrocers, fishmonger and ice cream parlour. A few minutes from transport services of water taxis to take to other beaches or buses to Mykonos town. Ornos Beach village has many facilities and the beachfront is particularly peaceful and romantic at night.

About Ray Jones

I live in London and love to get away to my little dream place in Mykonos, although work restricts me to a few holidays a year. I have been going to Mykonos for 20 years so I decided to buy something. The first time I went to Mykonos in the mid nineties we hired a motorbike (in those days they had a wire basket and indicators that were dodgy and lucky if you got up a hill). We travelled to every beach and landed upon Ornos beach. Each year thereafter we stayed at the same beach and little did I know that I would buy a place there eventually.

Why Ray Jones chose Greece

I wanted a place close to the beach and I am lucky that Mimosa House is only a 1 minute walk! I bought the house off-plan and although this seemed a risk the builders were ultra friendly, fun and top class quality (a few beers and a chat cures any issues!). Ornos beach is on the south side of the island and does not get hit by the prevailing northerly winds. I have immensely enjoyed Mykonos with friends over the years, and more recently with my children and grandchildren at Mimosa House.

What makes this house unique

The house has outside terraces for eating and drinking, and a great shared pool plus a brilliant beach within a one minute walk. I want anyone visiting to have a brilliant time and this includes family, friends and of course you!!

Kitchen: Is a modern fully fitted kitchen with all fitments and contents for a party of up to 6 persons. There are 3 ground floor external Terraces with Pergolas totalling 80 m²: 1) A Breakfast terrace Pergola - At the back of the house is a large terrace facing East towards the pool. A large Pergola has protective sun protective canvas with climbing Bougainvillea . The view is to the pool. There are two loungers and a large oak table. 2) A Cocktail terrace Pergola - watch the sun go down - By the front door is a small terrace overlooking open fields and hillsides to the West and has a small table and chairs. 3) A Dinner terrace - At the front is a large private terrace with Mykonian seating and Pergola with sun protective canvas, cushioning and tables. Set the candles up and relax.

We are a family of 4 ladies and we have recently stayed for a week at Mimosa House. We had a fantastic time. Mimosa House is so beautiful and is exactly as the photographs, if not better!! Not only is the house absolutely stunning, you have different terraces on which to enjoy breakfast, or cocktails or dinner. It is so well equipped with everything you require it really is like being at home. You could not beat the location of this home away from home just a 1 minute walk to the Ornos beach with its many beach restaurants, we tried several and the food was consistently delicious and the service outstanding. We took the water taxi on a couple of occasions, for 7 euros return, to other beaches which is a great service. We also used the bus from Ornos to Mykonos Town, definitely worth a visit, a 10 minute journey which cost under 2 euros. A big thank you to Panelis and his team for looking after us so well, always smiling and helpful, they all work hard to ensure you have the best experience. 10/10 Ray, its a big thank you from us. Location, location, location

A wonderful property, a real home from home with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break in Mykonos.

We were a family group of females with a diverse age range from 15 to 78 years. We were in Mykonos for a family wedding and the location of Mimosa house was fantastic, close to the beach, shops, hairdresser, bars, restaurants and a regular bus service into Mykonos Town. The house was very well equipped and accurately matched the description on the website.

The house was very clean and well maintained, we could not find fault with anything.

The complex manager, Mikhalis, was very helpful organising airport collection and helped us with transport to the wedding party. He was always on hand and provided us with some helpful advice on where to eat etc. The restaurants on Ornos beach were excellent and very reasonably priced.

The pool area was clean and very quiet, with most people choosing to walk the 100metres or so to Ornos beach. Having visited Shirley Valentine and Psarou beach we can safely say that Ornos was our favourite.

The property owner Ray was very helpful when taking our booking and promptly refunded my security booking within 24 hours.

We will definitely visit again and would not hesitate to recommend Mimosa House to family and friends.

Fantastic base from which to explore Mykonos

Mimosa house is the perfect place from which to explore Mykonos.

The house is part of a picturesque complex centred around a pool and really is less than one minutes walk from the beautiful Ornos beach. In fact if you don't want to travel too far, everything you need is in Ornos for the perfect holiday; however Mykonos town and Elia beach shouldn't be missed.

The house is like home from home - traditional Mykonian on the outside, but all mod cons inside, and very well kitted-out for self catering. The spacious terraces front and back are ideal for eating al fresco or enjoying a drink while watching the sun set.

Fantastic holiday with fantastic weather (especially for April!)

Recommended for couples, families or groups of friends.

Great place!

This house is a perfect place to stay in Mykonos. We (2 adults and 3 teenagers) spent four nights here in the high season but still found the complex to be quite quiet. The very nice sandy beach is really close by (1 minute!) where there are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. The bus stop into town and a bakery and two supermarkets are all very close too, so there is no need for a car at all. Most of all, though, Mimosa House is very well laid out so there was plenty of space, indoors and outside. Just the shower in the master bedroom is a bit of a squash! The kitchen is extremely well equipped and Ray provides just absolutely everything you need. The two terraces are also perfect for relaxing as well as eating. The manager, Apollo, was also very friendly and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this place.

Great stay in Mykonos

This is a well planned house for 4-6 persons with all the facilities that you need. It's situated close to the beach where you can find good restaurants and tavernas. From the beach you can also take the taxi boats to other beaches. There is also a wonderful swimmin pool in the garden which we shared with some other guests.There is a couple of well equipped supermarkets, a bakery (24 hours open), pharmacy etc. There is a bus going to Mykonos town (10 minutes ride) where you can enjoy the night life if you like. We had an excellent customer service in Katrina who was available whenever you needed. Thanks a lot! Me and my family with two teenagers can highly recommend this property and will sure return ourselfs.

One minute to beautiful Ornos Beach where the tables and chairs of each Taverna are set out on the sand. Ornos Beach is family oriented and all other South coast beaches can be reached by water taxi or bus or car rental all available from Ornos Beach. Ornos village is a few minutes walk and has everything that you need for a self catering holiday such as Supermarkets, Pharmacy, Bakery, Butcher, ATM and car rental. Mykonos Town is a 10 minute bus ride and has many restaurants and a confusing maze of streets where you will literally get lost!
