About Jennifer and Chris Walsh
We are avid travelers and parents to three great kids. We have rented all over the world and think we have ticked all of the boxes needed to make this home a comfortable one for your visit to Orcas Island.
Jennifer and Chris Walsh purchased this House in 2015
Why Jennifer and Chris Walsh chose Orcas
We purchased this house in 2015. We are in the process of restoring a 100 year old heirloom fruit orchard which is very close by, so the location worked well for our trips up to the island to oversee that project.
What makes this House unique
This is a quiet property in a beautiful pastoral setting, but extremely convenient to both the ferry and Orcas village as well as Eastbound Village.

All the comforts of home!
Owner Jen was helpful, easy to get a hold of, and answered all my (dumb) questions. The house was spacious, decorated beautifully in a homey, comfortable way. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Unfortunately we were busy all weekend with a wedding so didn't get to explore the grounds outside but it all looked amazing--hammocks, eating area past the garden, lovely deck with seating, fire pit. I would love to come back.
There are never any dumb questions! Always happy to help :-)
Come back and visit us again.
Our stay was perfect all the way around, from the great location to the comfortable house to the friendly hosts. We wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you!
Perfect Place for our Multi-Generational Family Trip
The house and property provided ample space for all different ages to use and enjoy. My in laws had their own restroom, my kids loved the trundle bed. Kitchen and living room were huge, and well stocked with items and board games. My husband loved being able to access Apple TV to watch movies at night.
The location is great too! The island isn’t big so you can get most places within thirty minutes, and it was nice to be in a quiet part of the island, enjoy the farmland and deer and sheep, and especially the stars at night!
It didn’t hurt we had great weather, and our hosts answered every need. Jenn was very sweet and even invited my kids to see her goats and chickens.
I highly recommend this house and we will return!
Lovely, peaceful and relaxing!
Lovely gardens with peaceful surroundings and plenty of opportunities to relax! Very welcoming and comfortable. Also very convenient to the ferry and the little town
Beautiful getaway on Orcas
Lovely home on Orcas conveniently near the ferry terminal. The outdoor space is amazing, especially traveling with dogs, and we could spend the whole time in hammocks out back or enjoying the fire pit. The extra touches (fresh local eggs, coffee and spices) made it extra special! We really enjoy coming here
Great place, great host - would come back again
Beautiful space, we stayed with friends & everyone loved the house & grounds. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the fenced in front & back yards. Everything is close by & easily accessible. The host was more than accommodating and we’d stay in any of their properties in the future.
Orcas island is a very special place, offering natural parks, forests, mountain lakes, wildlife, arts and culture, and the beauty of being surrounded by the sea. Islanders tend to value community, nature, the arts, local fresh food, and local history. Even with a small population of year-round residents, there is much to do and experience.
Small, sweet and 8 minutes away, Eastsound Village has restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, artisan shops, a bookstore, a supermarket and food co-op, pharmacy, yoga and massage studios, a library, a movie theatre, community center, a public park which hosts frequent community events, a bicycle rental and repair shop, cafes, and more.
The ferry landing village of Orcas has an excellently stocked gourmet market, restaurants and shops. It is five minutes away. Deer Hollow is a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway, visiting with friends and family, or peaceful time on your own. Relax and unwind, or call it home base while you hike, kayak, bike, swim, shop local boutiques, dine, tour local farms, whale watch, or take art or yoga classes.
The house, located in one of the sunnier areas of the island, offers lovely views of the garden and pastoral land surrounding the house.
